How can I trust a company that prints 7 Year battery on my battery then when I ask for a prorate price on it’s replacement part I get told «no battery lasts for 7 years?»

I was on the way home from skiing and remembered I had wanted to get a new air filter for my car since I hadn’t in a long time. I figured this place would gouge since they are sort of the only game in town for auto parts unless you drive to reno, but they had the one for my car at a reasonable price and were very helpful in explaining the benefits of a clean filter and how often to change it.
