Specialties

We provide self storage and packing supplies. Our storage units vary from 5×5 to 10×30, including outdoor parking. We are also the only storage facility in the North Lake Tahoe region to offer heated storage units.

History

Established in 2000.

We opened our doors for business in 2000. We have been serving the needs of the local community since then, and our history since has been, thankfully, uneventful!

Business Owner

My name is Richard Scardigli and I built this place in 1999, opening the doors for business in 2000. I live in Olympic Valley and I enjoy skiing in the winter time and water skiing in the summer. I also have a car dealership, Truckee Tahoe Auto Sales, that I operate next door to my storage facility. I have enjoyed living up in the Tahoe region for 20 years and I’m thrilled to be able operate my businesses up here.

We’re very happy with Town & Country storage facility. It’s clean/​well-​maintained, located on the airport road very close to highway 267 (convenient access), gate security is good, and there are some great views of Northstar and nearby mountains — making it as pleasant as possible to haul things in and out of storage! My interactions with Bruce and Shawn have been consistently helpful and professional. They’re busy — we needed to wait a little while for the exact size we wanted — but it was well worth it.

At a whopping $ 175 a month for a meager 10×15 unit, I am not at all pleased. Lest we forget the gate is only open until 9pm, very inconvenient. For the same fee as a small apartment you would think you would have 24 hour access. Then when move out time came, I removed all my belongings, swept the floor, took my lock and left the door open. Well moving a couple states over, calling the manager and telling them I was out slipped my mind for a few days, after calling the manager and explaining the situation, he explained to me that a bed had been left in my unit and that I would not receive my deposit. So all in all this has been mini storage unit nightmare. Would not even suggest to someone I was not fond of.
