History

Established in 2013.

Mark Dickson established Simple Power as a solar installation company in 2007 in western Montana. Mark designed, installed and sold over 80 off-​grid, residential, and commercial solar PV systems. In 2013 Mark moved back to his native Tahoe area where he partnered with Bill Kelly of Kelly Brothers Painting in Truckee, CA. Simple Power is a divison of Kelly Brothers Painting. Simple Power has designed and installed over 30 solar systems to date in Truckee, Martis Camp, Tahoe, Sierraville, Portola, Greagle and Reno.

Business Owner

Mark brings a wealth of knowledge, ingenuity and experience to the table on each of his projects. He also holds a NABCEP certification, the industry’s highest accreditation and recognition of excellence and is also a qualified installer for Truckee Donner Public Utility District.

In the past few years, Mark has successfully designed and installed two of the largest solar systems in the state of Montana, worked with the U.S. Forest Service and been called upon for his solar educational expertise by University of Montana, USDA and US Army.

Through Simple Power, Mark has completed dozens of PV installations utilizing utility grants and continues to be proficient in navigating that process. On his days off, Mark can usually be found climbing, flying or snowboarding around the Sierras.
