History
Established in 1984.
Semper Media really started back in 1971 when Randy Leipnik was discovering new ways of looking at music lessons. This pursuit has been constantly refined and has resulted in «The Semper Method of Music Study.»
This «play by ear» approach to learning music is as natural as our children, who always learn to speak before they can read. So we play first, then read later.

The media production side started in 1984, first in Detroit, then Oak Park and now in Troy Michigan. We are partners with good friend Wally Szczubialka and Orange Dragin. together we fulfill professional audio and video production needs of companies from all over the USA and around the world.
We create video content and produce sizzle reels for non scripted episodic television.

Randy L.
Business Owner
Canadian born, Randy has made his life in music since 1969. He studied music performance throughout school, with the Royal Conservatory of Toronto and Music Education at Queens University. He has played, arranged and conducted music all over the world.
1971 — present: Professional Musician, Musical Director, Music Teacher
Toured the world as musician and MD; national acts.
Studied music in a wide variety of cultures.
Produced a wide assortment of recordings, in the studio and on location.
Key Achievements
Created «The Semper Method» a unique approach to playing music by ear; published «The Interval Study Method» an ear-training book by Motown Funk Brother Joe Messina
