Specialties
Papi & Daughters is a building trades cooperative that offers a comprehensive range of services: from masonry, high-end interior renovation and roofing to plumbing, electrical installation, and custom fabrication. As a worker-owned enterprise, P&D spreads prosperity by sharing profits, teaching lucrative skills to a disadvantaged population, and renovating the under-valued housing stock of Troy, NY, a city awash in gorgeous Victorians and townhouses that have fallen into disrepair.
History
Established in 2014.
P&D was co-founded by Ramon Hernandez and Georgia Julius. Ramon, originally from Honduras, has decades of experience as a construction worker in the energy industry and as a contractor in building trades across North America. Georgia, raised in rural Pennsylvania, brings a background in social service management as well as a rich set of skills in the tradition of self-reliant living including farming, crafts, and design.
