Had flood damage to my house. When the process was over, they tried charging me $ 1200 for services that were never performed. When I called Mike out on it he sent a revised invoice only to try yet again to sneak charges past me (like having a dehumidifier in my garage for three days.)
I do not recommend them for any of their services but if you choose to BEWARE and go over y our bills closely.
Also, you might want to put away all valuables as $ 40 went missing from my daughter’s dresser the day they were in the house.

I recently had my bedrooms and family room carpets cleaned but the next day when the carpet was fully dry the carpet looked like it had just been wet not cleaned. While I realize the carpet was heavily soiled in walking areas none of the carpet looked clean. My husband suspects that because he didn’t go for the switch in price (one price quoted on the phone then a higher price when the guy showed up) the carpet was just saturated with water. It took over 24 hours to completely dry. It was still damp the next morning. In addition He never moved any thing not even a small trash can. I will never never use Modernistic again. I made the mistake of giving one star.

Today was the first time I hired Modernistic to clean my carpet and it Won’t be my last time…
At 7:45am the Tech (Eric) called to confirm he would be over between 1 and 3pm. Him and his partner arrived around 1:45 and got right to work. They were very professional and it took about 45 minutes. The carpet looks great and completed the task I wanted. To remove per odors. The carpet looks like it did when we moved in. I will definitely use them for carpet cleaning and possibly upholstery and vent cleaning. Plus they are a Michigan company.

Just has Matt Price clean 4 rooms, stairs, and hallway. He was on time, polite, wore booties, AND DID A GREAT JOB. I’d call them again AND ask for hi as the technician! He called ahead to give me a time frame and the. Called whe he was 10 minutes away.

My experience was great. The technician (Paul) who came out was on time, did a great job and was very helpful explaining his process and even gave me some helpful suggestions for future stains. He delivered more than I expected. I would definitely recommend Modernistic, this is the 3rd time we have used their services and they have been great every time.

Modernistic (specifically Harold and Connor) did a fantastic job saving our basement after a sump pump failure led to our basement flooding. They promptly arrived and took time and utmost care in explaining the process and charges. There was no pressure what so ever to buy there services even in an emergency situation. Because of how comfortable Harold made us feel and the excellent and reasonable price we decided to go with Modernistic. They had our basement dry in a couple of days and did everything to salvage whatever they could.
In contrast we used ServPro of Farmington Hills four years ago and now I realize how bad of an experience that was. Modernistic is now on our preferred vendors list!

We just had our front of the house, carpets & dinning room chairs cleaned today and I must say I am a very happy customer :) Ashamed to say it has been a couple of years since I had it done last, and there were areas that need attention but Steve & his partner did an amazing job my carpet is an off white and it looks like new again :) and there motto «simple & quick» is right on! Thanks Steve & your partner for a great job!!! I highly recommend them.

I love these guys! I was able to schedule online and received a phone call and email the day before with a precise half-​hour time window. Jay was my technician and he arrived right on time. He did such a thorough job. He spent over an hour on my sectional alone. The carpets and sectional were like new when he was done. The price was very fair and I was able to print coupons online for a discount.

I wish I could give this company zero stars. DO NOT USE THEM! They will rip you off. Scheduled tile cleaning, two twenty year olds showed up. Using a carpet cleaning hose, sprayed my shower. Said «it won’t clean», charged me $ 86.00 (the minimum). The water hose broke, flooded my bathroom floor. The company does not respond to complaints. Their 100% money back guarantee is a sham. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

I scheduled my carpet cleaning on line for a Sunday morning. I had a few questions about the service and emailed the company. I received a prompt response. My next communication was Sunday morning when I received a call about the exact time of the service. They were prompt and efficient. The carpet was a mess from one of my dogs. I was amazed to see that it looked perfect when Travis was done with it.
The price was so reasonable I decided to have them come back every 6 months.
The service was just like their jingle… Modernistic simple and quick.

My husband and I bought a house two years ago and installed brand new carpet upstairs. Our cats, and probably a dog or two, have decided to mark it occasionally as well as barf on it a few times.
So we call Modernistic and we were blown away by the quality, customer service and job they did on the carpets. Our entire upstairs (about 800sq. ft) with deodorizer and Scotch Guard (two add-​ons) cost just under $ 200. The guy was UBER friendly and quick.
HIGHLY recommend.

I had an open window appointment set for noon to 3 PM. Naturally at 3pm, no one is at my home. 3:20 PM and still no show. I post on their Facebook account that I do not like companies that are twenty minutes late. That was it… of course it was deleted.
The cleaning was average. Their are much better options than this company out there for your household.

I called Modernistic out to clean my air ducts. A++++ it all started with customer service rep who was so delightful to talk to. The two men who came to my home were polite and knowledgeable. The price was just what they told me over the phone, and the before and after photos sealed the deal for me. It’s been a couple months since the cleaning, and the dust in my house is still so limited. If you haven’t had your ducts cleaned, call Modernistic and ask for my technician Josh.

I’m giving them a 2 star ONLY because they did do a good job on my carpets. The carpets are indeed clean. But The technicians on the other hand were rude and disrespectful.
We bought a large home and just moved in. We requested they call ahead since they were running behind and they just showed up. I had a screaming (teething) 18 month old who wouldn’t let me put her down and a toy room to take down. The supervisor was incredibly rude and told me the job was premature about 6x. I told him I wanted them to start on the basement and I would have the toy room done in 10 minutes flat. He was so rude and kept arguing with me. He even called his supervisor and I let her know the same thing. They acted like I wanted them to clean around the toys and was unwilling to help. I called my husband and made him come home from work. Quite honestly I was upset and Told both of them if they didn’t want the job I’d hire someone else. Once my husband got here the supervisor change his entire attitude. The toy room was disassembled in the 10 minutes like I said and they didn’t get to it for over an hour. It was the last room they did.
According to the guy he makes his money by doing more homes. So they don’t care if you’re paying like everyone else they just want the job done quick so they can move on. Ill never hire them again based on the way I was treated. The carpets are cleaned but the stress of it all was not worth it. Next time ill go with a company that wants the large job and doesn’t complain about doing the work they signed up for.
Also, the guy who worked upstairs never moved my daughters bed or dresser. He skipped cleaning it all together. He did move my other child’s crib and placed plastic under it. Seems like these guys can’t be bothered to finish a job to the full extent.

After calling a few places, I ended up going with Modernistic because their customer support people were super nice and informative… and overall their prices were the best for what we needed done (both upholstery cleaning and carpet cleaning).
On the first visit to clean the upholstery, the two-​guy team was prompt, personable, quick, and thorough. They wore booties to cover their shoes which I think is a nice touch, even though I don’t care about that kind of thing (though thinking back, maybe it was because it started raining cats and dogs while they were setting up? It was a week ago so I don’t remember exactly). I was asked if I wanted any of the pieces Scotchguarded and I said yes (I just wished the rep would have thought to ask that when I scheduled so I would have had the price in my mind… but it wasn’t a big deal). I had never had furniture cleaned before so the price seemed a little high… but then again, I’d never had furniture cleaned before and this stuff was 5+ years old and has been living with a toddler, a dog, two cats, and us… and all pieces came out looking brand new… so I think it was worth it. They took credit card payment by calling it in to the main office and it was easy peasy.
The carpet cleaning came about a week later after the movers had emptied our rental house. We had initially scheduled them for a 6−8p cleaning (post movers and pre-​kid bedtime) but unfortunately the movers ran WAY late so I thought it best to try and postpone the carpet cleaning. Just as I was about to call to ask, I got a call from the guy himself and after I explained what was going on, he said it would be no problem to come later. Cool. When it became clear that the movers were running even later, I called and postponed again – and the guy was cool with it. He finally ended up coming about 8:30 (which sucked for my kid’s bedtime but that wasn’t his fault) and got right to work. He did the upstairs first (at our request) so it would be finished first and we could put our son to bed, then he finished in the basement. All the rooms look better than they did before we moved into this place, so we were thrilled. He was a super nice guy and wiped up the wood floors as he left.
We were very happy with both the upholstery and carpet cleaning, and would easily recommend them to anyone.
