My friends and I hit up this place everytime we are in time in Troy for the breakfast sandwiches. This is the best sausage or bacon egg and cheese you can find in the area, and the price is unbeatable(3 or 4 bucks). My daughter loves the M&M pancakes, and they have been super accommodating, giving her one(plate sized: she can’t even finish one!) at a reduced price. If every item was this good for this price, I would definitely give the review one more star. The other items have been good, just not worthy of that prestige five-star mark. Still, I’ve never had a bad experience here. If you live close by, you need to give this breakfast sandwich a try!

I’m in Eggs Benny heaven! They have traditional, crab cake and Florentine varieties. Perfectly poached eggs and dripping in good hollandaise sauce, the way I like eggs Benedict. And for a ridiculously fair price compared to what most diners charge for mediocre versions. Home fries are great. They are crispy and well seasoned and properly cooked unlike places that try to pass deep fried potato nuggets as home fries. Oh, and they have spinach. I love spinach. They have it any way you want-in an omelet, with eggs Benny, as a side dish… Home made corned beef hash. Yes and thank you. It’s very good. Ask for it cooked crispy. And spice. They have it if you want it. Spanish omelet sauce is great but can also top other items if asked. They have killer chili made with steak which you can get as a side or in a chili omelet. I so love this since I love chili. AND-A Perogi breakfast. And German brats as a side or as a filler. I LOVETHISPLACE! Decent coffee. Much better then standard diner watered down coffee. It’s not the best but it’s acceptable. Sausage comes in the form of links instead of the sausage patty imposters. My review is based on breakfast although their lunch menu looks tasty. Everything I’ve had was delicious and I was shocked at the low prices. I had no service issues. This is a diner. I was promptly greeted by a server, my order was taken, coffee and water was delivered, food was served in a timely manor and I was checked on once or twice. That made me happy. I’m not looking for meaningful conversation or for my table to be crumbed while eating breakfast at 7am.

Best breakfast in the Capital Region, homemade food. Backwoods Omelette is something I dream about. Friendly and chill.

Decided to branch out from the usual place for brekkie this morning… found Lansignburgh Café on Unilocal and decided to make the very short trip from my house. We walked into a kind«hello» and chose a seat in the front of the restaurant. There were a couple of regulars in the back and at the counter, but we didn’t feel like we were walking in to a private party at all. Coffee was just«eh», but I’m an admitted coffee snob. It was standard diner coffee. I had the mushroom and cheese omelet, served with quite possibly the BEST homefries I’ve ever had. I usually take one or two bites of potato and leave the rest. Not this time… I ate them all. One breakfast companion had a ham and cheese omelet and also finished every last bite. The other had the full stack of french toast and reported that it was very good. I looked at the Friday night dinner menu… burgers, fish fry, and pork roast. If you’re looking for a laid back breakfast place, it’s worth the trip to the Lansingburgh Café. Make sure you order the homefries… you will NOT be sorry!

One of the best diners in the area… Tasty food, good service. I really enjoyed my omelet, the waiter was nice about the large number of questions, special requests, and general large party stuff, and the pancakes were fantastic. Defiantly going back.

The food is typical diner type fare but what really draws you in is the service. The waitress we had was just really fun and joking. They don’t have to try and be fake and over the top friendly like at those chain restaurants. They can be real. And they are real wholesome. Before you order, take a look around and find the«specials» board. That was one thing that I missed before ordering and there were some great sounding dishes on there. The table we sat at was in the back and right next to a bunch of old books that were fun to look at and gave off even more of that cozy vibe. I can definitely see coming back here for breakfast on the regular because of how close it is to me and how laid back the place is. One thing to keep in mind. CASHONLY!

We visited the Lansingburgh Café for breakfast on a busy Thursday morning — I think we were the only non-regulars in the place. But that didn’t matter — we were treated as old friends, greeted and seated quickly, and welcomed into the conversations. We had one of the specials, the Mediterranean Turkey omelet, which was very tasty(as well as being very filling!). The food came out in reasonable time; in the meantime, our coffee and tea were kept filled and hot, and they gave my wife a second teabag(unlike many places, which seem to expect you to use one bag for all your refills). I’d go back quite happily.

Over 10 years ago, my friend and I dined often at the Lansingburgh Café since he used to live within walking distance. Back then, this café served pretty good breakfasts and at the time also served dinner on the weekends, a good German menu with schnitzels and potato pancakes. The homemade Chili has won the local Chili Cookoff several times. Presently(2009), Graham’s Lansingburgh Café is open daily 7AM-2PM serving breakfast and lunch and breakfast only on the weekends. The atmosphere inside is very cozy and homey with lunch counter seating and table seating, kitchen in the back. The lunch counter is decorated with lots of old time baseball memorabilia, mostly NY Yankees with some Boston Red Sox. The opposite wall has old time framed photos. Recently, I decided to stop here for breakfast around noon on a Saturday. It’s seat yourself, so I found an empty table and grabbed a Metroland to read. There were several locals(families) already dining here. There were 2 servers on staff. I was given a menu and I asked for coffee($ 1.25). The coffee was decent. The breakfast menu offers breakfast sandwiches, egg dishes, pancakes and omelets. I decided on the Chili Omelet($ 6.95) served with homefries and toast. The food took 20 minutes to come out. The omelet was pretty good stuffed with the famous hearty chili which had beans and steak(not ground beef), a bit salty taste. The homefries were okay, lightly grilled and had small pieces of zucchini. The raisin toast was buttered. However, the service was less than stellar, just unacceptable. The other server had a cold and kept coughing and my server always disappeared and not once offered me a refill on coffee when my cup was near empty. My server walked by and dropped off the check and quickly disappeared again. The other server took away my plate when I was finished and I asked for more coffee, but the other server went along and did some receipts instead of refilling my coffee cup, the pot of coffee was obviously full. After 5 minutes(finished reading Metroland), I left the money with the check and walked out, no one even noticing. I ended up going someplace else an hour later for coffee. The food was overall decent, but the service was out to lunch(should I say breakfast), perhaps not a good day.
