History

Established in 1892.

James Kennedy founded the business as a stonecutter producing grave monuments in 1892. His sons incorporated blacksmithing and mechanical repairs shortly thereafter. In about 1925, Kennedy’s started a service station on the site. In 1965, towing operations were started when Peter St. Germain purchased the business in that year. Kennedy’s grew and thrived for the next half-century. Kennedy’s was purchased by Michele and Cliff Craft of TC Craft & Co., Inc. in 2011. Kennedy’s remains today as a première towing and repair service in the Capital District, renowned for it’s fast & efficient service and knowledge of the towing business.
