Instafirm Body Wraps

I purchased a Groupon for One Debut mineral body wrap ($ 49). Luckily that week Groupon had 20% off for spa services, so I only had to pay $ 38. When I called, they informed me that the mineral body wrap will not guarantee any weight loss results. If I wanted to see results, I would have to upgrade to their $ 45 or $ 60 package. I really wished that they said that in the fine print on Groupon. I decided to not upgrade because I knew that these results are only temporary. Ps, I am 5’1 and weigh around 116 lbs.
The whole process is pretty cool. She writes down all of your measurements and wraps you all up. I definitely felt a mummy. Then, you go on the elliptical or jump on a trampoline for an hour. There is a little sauna for you to use if you get chilly. They empty the bags on your feet after 30 minutes. After an hour, she unwraps you & records your measurements again. I lost 9 ½ inches overall in my body, but I am sure it was mostly water weight. She did not weigh me at all. No before or after weight. My head was also forward the entire time, so I could not check if she measured me correctly or not. The debut mineral body wrap is really just for detoxing, not losing weight. I still have cellulite and unwanted fat in my body.
In my opinion, I thought this was a waste of money because I have wrapped myself at home & have gotten better results. Pinterest will teach you everything. Maybe the electro body sculpting session would have been a better option. I also did not like the fact that the owner lets her dog roam around in the public waiting room. Very unprofessional.
2.5/5.0~ I would round up, but the way they attacked L.L. in the below reviews show how unprofessional they are. When businesses see a negative comment like that, they should at least try to apologize or fix the problem.
Bottom Line: Look ladies, we are all trying to find easy quick ways to lose weight, but the truth is the only true way to lose weight is exercise & a proper diet.

Just say No!
I too purchased a Groupon to Instafirm for a Facial Sculpting Session. When I called to make the appointment I was immediately put off. Before I had even stepped foot in the Spa the girl was telling me that the Groupon I purchased was basically worthless because the results would only last a few days unless I opted to purchase the $ 750.00 package to go with it.
Note, nowhere on their website does it say that it takes 10 visits to achieve results that last any period of time and then ongoing maintenance. By the time I got off the phone I felt like I was trying to buy a used car.
All of that said and done, I had already purchased the Groupon so I made the appointment.
The day of the appointment I setout to the Spa in less then pleasant weather conditions, and being new to the area managed to hit a horrid stretch of road and blow out two tires in a pothole. So there I am on the side of the road with AAA changing my tires and get a phone call from the Spa at 12 minutes after.
Were they inquiring to my well being? Noooo. Where they calling to see if I was lost or needed directions? Uh Uh. The message on my voicemail was, and I quote «You are almost 15 minutes late so we are cancelling your appointment. If you decide to rebook you will have to pay full price for a session before we would be willing to honor your Groupon on a second visit.»
Don’t fall for their «it was owned by a little old lady who only drove it on Sundays» Groupon deals. This is not a place looking to build client relationships or address your individual needs. This is a get them in, get their money and get them out as fast as you can kinda place.

I set out to get a body wrap and normally I look upon Unilocal reviews to make my decision as to where to go. My cousin referred me to this place even though the Unilocal reviews were lower I still give it a shot, and boy am I glad that I did. The first time I came a few days ago, I did a body wrap. After filling out paperwork they explained exactly what they were going to do to me for the wrap service, and even suggested extra fluids. They were very sensitive and caring during the process. The place was very neat and clean, even the bathroom. When I went in and undressed they were very respectful of my privacy, then entered after a few minutes to wrap me up. I got the private wraps related in bed for an hour, and after every 15 minutes someone came in and Portlick without me blotted my face and gave me a straw so I could drink some cold water. I have my own private room with the lights dim the and relaxing music playing. Was very relaxing experience. The woman measured me before and after, and I have lost a total of 16 ½ inches. I’m sure a lot of it was water weight but I definitely felt smaller and look smaller afterwards. I am already back for another session and some extra services. ALL of the ladies who work here are very friendly and professional. I have even since referred a friend of mine to do an ionic foot bath and she was very pleased with the results. She even did a body wrap on the same day and also lost 14 inches. Today IM back for a second wrap and some other services, I’ll post again once they are completed.

They gave me my first ionic foot bath in the public waiting room in full view of customers and people walking by on the sidewalk. In case you aren’t familiar, the ionic foot bath draws slimy chunks of brown and yellow toxins from your feet. I had to do this in the waiting room while the other customers looked on in horror as the water became greenish-​brown. After it was done, I lifted my feet out of the brown, soupy water, and had to clean the chunks of brown from between my toes with the wet rag that was provided while the other customers commented about how disgusting that was. The best way to describe this experience is HUMILIATING. No one wants to see waste come out of another person, and I certainly didn’t appreciate having mine displayed like that.

BEWARE! I decided to do this wrap because of the deal offered by Groupon. After the entire wrap process, the girl taking my measurements would not allow me to look at the measuring tape as she took my final measurements stating that she wanted my head up & eyes straight (even when measuring my abdomen, butt, & thighs). This was a red flag for me so I watched her. I had NOT lost any inches and when she took the measurement, she would look at the «before» number and just take one or two inches off of that number instead of writing the actual measurement. I CLEARLY saw the measuring tape indicte that I hadn’t lost any inches but she lied and wrote a false number to make it appear as if I had! AWFUL!!! She was honest with some measurements, wrists & ankles, and correctly wrote the numbers down indicating no change or inches lost. But in the places that count (for myself & most women) she outright falsified the numbers to make it appear that I had lost inches! Every time she saw me looking as she measured, she stopped & instructed me to keep my eyes straight ahead. Then, to top it all off, the owner made a ridiculous up sell on future wraps when I was trying to pay. She was high pressure about it and kept saying things like «This is a one time offer» & «With your results, you are dumb to not get more wraps!». The whole experience was awful and I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. These wraps may work for some but I am a true testament that it does not work for others! Who wants to give their business and hard earned money to a place with such deceitful practices anyway??? BUYER BEWARE!!!

I came here for a body wrap a couple days before my wedding. I had the first appointment of the morning. I can’t remember the women’s name who wrapped me but she was nice and professional. They weigh you and do mark you with a pen when they take your initial measurements. After they wrap you up, they move you into a work out room. It has one small trampoline and about 4 cheap elliptical machines. Your not suppose to really work out, just keep moving. Unfortunately, during my visit the sauna was broke. It does get a little uncomfortable during the hour your suppose to be «moving». First, it starts to get really cold. They don’t keep the room very warm. Your wrapped in wet bandages and your feet are in plastics bags collecting the «toxins». Which is really more of hazard. Ever try walking with bags of water of your feet? I was so afraid I was going to fall. After the hour, they unwrap you and remeasure. I can’t even really remember how many inches I lost. It didn’t seem too impressive. My biggest problem with Instafirm Body Wrap came when I had to pay. I had bought the Unilocal coupon and when I went to use it, the women at the counter, which I believe to be the owner, quickly became upset. She told me I had to notify them when I made my appointment that I would be using the coupon. Why? It didn’t say anything in the fine print about that. I went to show her my confirmation coupon on my phone and she was visually irritated because she couldn’t get the computer to except my code. She made me feel like I was trying to scam them or something. I offered to read her the code so she could write it down and try again when the computer was working. Overall, she made me feel awful for using a coupon. I just didn’t understand why they offer the deal if it seems to upset her so much when people use it. Also, she had her dog in the store, which is totally fine with me. It was walking across the counter and would sit on her lap. Well once I told her about the coupon she yelled at the dog to get down! Making things really uncomfortable. I don’t think I would go back.

Awesome! This place is great! Wonderful ladies that work there. Ive done the «dream body» wrap, the EBS and the detox foot baths all with great results! Also, Joni the owner is great!
