History
Established in 1978.
Holmes & Watson, occupies 450– and 452 Broadway.
From 1890, the City Directory lists businesses at 450 Broadway (a tavern or restaurant on the main floor and a small hotel on the second floor) under several names.
Between April of 1903 and May of 1925, the Stoll Brewing Company, located on Spring Avenue, leased the premises and sublet to tavern keepers who agreed to serve Stoll product exclusively. Matt is grraduate of SCCC, magna cum laude, with a Culinary Degree.
Matt makes most everything from scratch, and everything in his kitchen is made to order. He is on the premise each day from early morning and usually through the dinner hour. We do try to get him to take a day off now and then, and we are closed on Sunday and Monday
