Emil’s Lawnmower Service & Sales

This is a local business. I went in to get a choke cable. The worker just told me to use the internet… Like I didn’t try that. I thought they would have that hometown helpfulness. Nope. Very rude, very dismissive to my needs. Didn’t want to help me at all. I will never go back here for anything.

I have a Sthil SH55 blower that needed repair. I got on the Sthil website and found this guy to service my blower. He’s local so I figured I would give him a try since I try to shop local. His hours weren’t posted on the web so I figured I would drive over there on a Saturday afternoon. I arrived at about 1:30 to see the sign says they close at noon. As I’m pulling out he comes out and asks if he can help me. I tell him my story and the first thing he asks is if I purchased the blower from him. I said no since I recently moved into the area. He told me he only services what he has sold. What??? He said he can’t keep up with demand. Now, I don’t know about you, but if I were in business I would try to gain new customers by servicing thier needs.
On a positive note, he did go inside and look to see if he had the part in stock. He gave me the part number and told me a few places to call. This is the only reason I gave him two stars. He was rude and not helpful. I told him I would be buying a new mower this spring and it still didn’t change his mind. I don’t know if I’ll back since I’m not in his «inner circle» of customers.
