History

Established in 2012.

Calcagno Media is based on the idea that great video shouldn’t cost thousands. There seem to be only two options for multimedia content: shaky cell-​phone video or costly production companies that draw out the process. What we need is professional and engaging, affordable and timely video production. That’s what we’re about.

The business is run by Michael Calcagno. He grew up in Gresham, Or, graduated from the University of Oregon in broadcast journalism and went to work in television news. After learning a lot and experiencing many different communication styles, Michael decided to transition from news to video production to follow his true creative passion.

Using his background in deadline driven, breaking news reporting, Michael can film, edit and produce stellar content in a fraction of the time as a big production crew. We don’t waste your time or ours. We shoot documentary-​style, organic, interview-​driven compelling video that immerses the viewer in your story.

Michael grew up in Gresham, OR, graduated from the University of Oregon in broadcast journalism and then took his first job as a field reporter for the CBS station in Boise, ID. After two years, Michael moved back to Portland, OR to take a job working for Good Day Oregon. After that he decided to follow his true creative passion and started Calcagno Media with the mission to offer high quality, affordable video production to help small businesses grow and spread clear and concise information about their products and services.
