Greyhound Bus Lines

I love Greyhound. Dayton Trotwood is no exception. The bus station here is nice because it’s always clean, the busses are generally prompt, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoy the service that is given.
I will caution those traveling that the chargers generally do not work in this station.

Greyhound’s WiFi is straight up fake. It never ever works. Go Trailways if you have a choice. GH drivers are cool, but don’t advertise something you don’t really have

Never will I again go cheap out and get a bus ticket instead of a coach flight,
took bus from Omaha to Dayton 2 months ago, buses were always late and or drivers were just total idiots, only one impressed me and he was flat out forward with his rules.
Constantly having to watch my stuff cause even if you go take a wizz someone would rifle your personals looking for what ever they can steal. getting dropped in trottwood? Yeah right just where I would like to be at 11 pm waiting for a ride or cab.
Some people on the bus must have been either just plain dirty people or haven’t showered for the last week. Just all around bad experience and smells
Not once during this 20 hr ordeal did the bus stop at a decent place to get food, all that was available was processed reheated crap from nothing better then a roach coach wagon run by minimum wage teenagers or unknown legality status of south border folks. The buses were advertised as updated? this is very comical, none of the buses I was on probably would have passed an inspection.

As of 10÷27÷09, Greyhound no longer services downtown Dayton, OH. However, for nearby bus service in Trotwood which is a northwest suburb of Dayton, you must use the Trotwood service location, address below:

This new Trotwood location offers multiple daily bus trips to Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Chicago, Columbus, and Detroit.
The Trotwood location is safe and functional and offers close access to the highways, which means bus service here is reliable, albeit totally «out of the way.» After stopping here I had to take a half hour RTA bus to Dayton downtown, which cost only $ 1.75 and left the station hourly if not better, 18 hrs a day. I suppose a cab would also be an option.
I only came to this location once out of necessity one time, and I am going to do my best to avoid being stranded here a second time. I was annoyed when I found out the hard way that the intercity busses no longer serve downtown Dayton, but due to a lot of prodding on my part, Unilocal,google maps, and even
now all contain disclaimers that «Dayton» terminal should now be really called «Trotwood.» So hopefully no one lands here by accident the way I did my first time after their relocation.
The new bus station is not in a good area for meal breaks. Aside from a few fast food locations in Trotwood, there is nothing to offer sustenance around within walking distance. As is typical for Greyhound stops, there is NO WIFI, neither free nor paid. They apparently don’t want to invite people to stick around, but if you do find yourself stranded here, there are still some rudimentary vending machines for your entertainment.
