Dr. Hui is my godsend.
I had been seeing an orthopedic doctor and a physical therapist for some time for lower back pain, sciatica and stenoses. The doctor recommended cortisone and muscle relaxants, both of which I didn’t like due to possible side effects. The therapy didn’t help at all. I’m saddened that I wasted so much time with that approach.
Dr. Hui started to relieve my pain in just one session. I saw almost instant results. He uses electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, decompression therapy utilizing a traction table along with spinal adjustment/​manipulation. At some point in the session I also I got treated by the medical massage therapist, he is absolutely gifted, I felt so much better after these total treatment sessions. The results have been miraculous, a reduction of stiffness and spasm, an increase in flexibility and a significant decrease in pain. He also recommended certain stretching excercises that I can do while at work, in my chair at my desk.

I was skeptical about chiropractic (thought it might hurt) at first. A co-​worker referred me to Dr. Hui for mid/​upper back pain. It took several visits before I noticed any improvement, but the voila, one day I had NO pain after months of typical modern-​life pain (walking, standing on the subway, carrying bag on one shoulder).
The ‘electro stim’, and adjustments work wonders as does Sam the therapeutic masseuse. I was taught stretches to help maintain a good poster and to relax the muscles that would get hypertonic (taut).
Friendly staff, easy booking. Highly recommended.

I’ve been going to Dr. Hui for about 6 months now for spinal adjustments, upper back, shoulder and lower back pain and I have seen great improvements in my posture and less pain. Dr. Hui takes time to listen to your problems and offers solutions. I’m a runner and he helps me with streching advice to avoid injuries.
Its very easy to make appointments, the staff is very friendly and they have convinient office hours.
I feel light like a feather everytime I leave!

5 months later since my previous review of Dr. Hui, I feel brand new! Everyday NYC stress doesn’t hurt like it used to. I have been taken to dinner by a friend that I referred to Dr. Hui-​he can’t believe how flexible he has become. Lastly, my husband started going to see Dr. Hui for a knee injury that he was told to get surgery for. His pain has diminished greatly and with Dr. Hui’s program, my husband feels that his knee is as strong as 15 years ago. Unilocal didn’t post my first review-​I never understand how they decide that– maybe because i gushed over this guy. But believe you me, in an ocean of stress, Dr. Hui is a beacon!

I’m updating my review after using Dr. Hui’s services. I was unable to get a refund from Living Social and ended up getting a day off so I was able to make the limited availability. The location was at the SE corner of Central Park, office area under construction so it was very noisy with drilling, etc. I was sent into the exam room and told to change into a gown, wasn’t sure what to take off and how to put the gown since I’ve never had to do this for a chiropractic exam before. Dr. Hui was professional, thorough and nice. He spoke quickly like he was in a hurry but I’m a medical professional so that was okay for me. The adjustment with Dr. Hui was pretty good, more than I expected with some traction thrown in. I also got a 45 min massage included with the Living Social voucher, which was rough but needed. It wasn’t your typical massage, imagine a massage in your doctor’s office, no mood music, no dim lighting, no sheets to cover you but it did the job. Not sure of the credentials of the massage therapist. He used lots of pressure to work out the knots in my neck, shoulders and back and at times was painful but I prefer that style to others that use too light a pressure. I would return if my insurance covers it for more adjustments. I give only 3 stars because I didn’t like the terms of the voucher, the office was under construction, and the set up in the exam room w/​the massage was awkward. Worth the $ 49 I paid for the voucher in the end.

I have been seeing Dr. Hui for the last several months for spinal adjustments and I am very happy with the results. I came in looking for some help with my migraine headaches after reading an article about how spinal adjustments (and neck and shoulder massage) have been shown to prevent the onset on migraines. I come in once or twice a week and found that scheduling the appointments is pretty easy, as the practice stays open until seven and the admin has been able to squeeze me in. Dr. Hui took the time to listen to my concerns and seemed to really understand what kind of treatment I require. The treatments have been going very well and I am noticing that the frequency and severity of my migraines have decreased. I will be continuing my treatment and fully recommend Dr. Hui (and Dr. Andreas who has treated me also). In addition to the help with migraines, the adjustment have been helping me feel better overall. I have talked to other patients while sitting in the waiting room and it sounds like they excellent massage therapy as well.

I am a patient of Dr. Hui at his new location…5^th Ave. The location is convenient as well as the hours of service. My experience with the staff and treatment have been pleasurable. Dr Hui has worked wonders with my hip and back pain. He is patient and fully explains in detail his plan of treatment. I am a very satisfied patient. Grace S.
