Out of towners here looking for a place to eat. Family owned Italian food — sauce was excellent, Alfredo was great and bread was delicious. It’s a small place so big parties hard to accommodate. The red vinegar dressing is amazing! I begged for the recipe but forget it folks… its proprietary. Only level 9 security clearance will get it

This place is the real deal. Just a few tables and a small deli. The sandwiches were amazing — best meatball sandwich I’ve ever had. Service was very friendly as well.

Nana & Nano’s is the best Italian I’ve ever had. The red sauce was marvelous and you could definitely taste the tangy and sweet tomatoes used. The meatballs and sausage were moist and very well prepared. The spaghetti was al dente and had just the right texture. All these flavors and ingredients blended together in perfect harmony and made me feel like I was apart of their family. It truly is their mama’s recipe.

Without a doubt, some of the best Italian food I have ever had!!! I came here with my family on a road trip from California to Colorado and needed a place to stop for lunch. This place is in the center of a neat little town and definitely family owned. The great adventure starts when you walk in and the delicious Italian smells hit you. All of the workers are so friendly and the service was great. Once you order they bring you complimentary salad and bread right away. My family and I tried the rigatoni with sausage, spaghetti with meatballs, gnocchi, and their chile sausage. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. You can easily tell that the ingredients were fresh and made daily. The portions are pretty big and definitely worth the price. This place is awesome! For the locals they already know to come here, but for you people traveling by I would definitely recommend stopping and grabbing a bite to eat. There are only 7 tables since it’s partly a deli but don’t let that stop you! I would definitely wait or order to-go. Thank you Nana’s for a great experience!

Passing through Trinadad on our way to Colorado Springs from CA. Beautiful small town was the perfect place for lunch at a local favorite. The food is classic Italian made with much care and love. I ordered the gnocchi and Italian sausage. The gnocchi had perfect texture, the sausage was seasoned well and it all came together with an amazing marinara sauce. The owner and staff are friendly and the service was on point. Definitely suggest you stop for a meal here!

Seating is very limited — so this is a good«take out» type of place. I think I counted only 6 tables. If you bring your group of 6 to 8 people, you might be standing. Now, the food is AMAZING. Top quality Italian meals. :) No Wi-Fi. Not much parking on Main Street. Just park wherever you can and walk.

This place has some authentic Italian food. Coming from an Italian background and living in New York I can say this is top 5 of Colorado!

Seeing the previous reviews for this place, we chose to give it a try even though it is not located anywhere convenient for grabbing a quick meal while traveling through this place. The bars on the door and windows should have been a clue in retrospect(as they were designed for keeping people out, we shouldn’t have been fooled by the open sign and unlocked door). It seems to be an Italian deli as advertised with a decent menu, however, eating the words on the menu rather than the actual meal, certainly would have left us feeling more like we ate an actual meal of food rather than the feeling of every organ in your body violently rejecting the foreign substance we violated it with. Of the 4 different sandwiches we ordered, each of them appeared to be some form of Spam, either artfully crafted into a meatball with a melon baller or delicately sliced to resemble some form of «deli» meat. These various forms of Spam were then either covered in watered down ketchup, salsa, bbq sauce or the greasy remnants of previous unlucky patrons and smashed between a microwaved hotdog bun, wrapped in foil and possible stepped on based on the pancake size width of the sandwiches. As for taste, imagine the picture I just painted and then imagine making the same poor decision we did and actually go through with eating it, enough said there. Now to back up a bit, we also ordered garden salads before the sandwiches, now, I’ve seen some weak salads before and I’ve even made a few, but I have rarely if ever seen a restaurant give you a dog bowl full of chopped up brown core shots of what was left of a former head of lettuce and then dress it up with one cherry tomato sliced into 8 pieces with 3 shoestring slices of a baby carrot. Dressing choices included, water mixed with olive oil, water mixed with olive oil and mayonnaise, or mayonnaise with pepper flakes in it. The ambiance was fairly unique as well, thinking back I never actually witnessed them take any«deli» products out of the elaborate display to prepare anything, which sort of leads me to believe they were possibly plastic show pieces. All the employees were dressed like super Mario bros. there were a handful of seemingly homeless or lost people just lingering. The few tables smashed in the small space forced you to practically hold some strangers baby as it was breastfeeding, while the person behind you was dropping shaved Parmesan in your lap.

Haven’t been to the restaurant but I had a good friend bring me some of Fran’s meatballs and sauce and they were magnificent. Can’t wait to get to Trinidad to try some more.

I recently went here and had the«Fran’s special» and tiramisu. Both were very delicious. I will definitely come here again. They sell various stuff, as well as kitchenware. Very friendly staff! I highly recommend and will definitely come again!

Love this small, family run Italian reaturant. Had the gluten-free spaghetti with clams in Olive oil/garlic sauce! My favorite. The dinner was quick, no frills, and delicious. My daughter had the Alfredo sauce which she said was perfect and my hubby had the rigatoni w/tomato sauce. Another hit! Try their Italian Dressing. We bought 2 more bottles to take back home with us. Love it!!! The staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful. Even trying to help us maneuver the Christmas Light Parade to be able to get out of town before the weather turned bad. I would give it a 5 except I save that ratings for good food, service, and ambiance. This is no frills, good, home cooked italian food and you get just that!!! Well worth the visit.

Great food, but the hours can be sporadic. It is understandable in a town this size with such intermittent travelers. It is just frustrating, so have a plan B. The food is worth the hassle. Great gravy and sandwiches. Best for lunch.

I go to Trinidad at least once a month, & I usually just grab fast food. We found out this place had Italian food, and decided to stop by and give it a shot. I can say it was definitely a great idea to stop. Wonderful delicious food, very nice people running it. My grandmother and I enjoyed this place, and will definitely be making more stops there.

Tried out this little place tonight for dinner. The combination deli and restaurant is pretty cool. I ordered ravioli with Alfredo sauce. It took a while for our food to arrive bit it was worth the wait. The meat ravioli was cooked perfect and the Alfredo sauce was very tasty. If you are in town, give this place a try. I plan on going back for lunch soon. Their many types of Italian meats is awesome. If you come, get there early because they close at 730pm.

We read a few great reviews & decided to go. Best gnocchi I’ve had in Years. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! Friendly people. Family owned. Not many tables but it wasn’t too busy so it was fast service too. If you’re anywhere near Trinidad you have to make this stop!

You must try the heavenly combo! I come back time and time again and just cannot seem to stray away from those subs. Reasonably priced, quality, Italian cuisine served by a polite staff makes me glad this place is in walking distance from my house. 5⁄5

My wife and I pulled into Trinidad with no idea of where to eat. Driving down Main, we saw this little hole in the wall. As soon as we entered, I knew we had stumbled onto something special. It has the feel of an authentic New York City deli. My wife had gnocci. My Italian sausage hoagie was awesome. The food is delicious, and the staff is awesome. Hope you can find a table!
