Our legal practice specializes in the areas of criminal defense (including drunk driving and traffic tickets), landlord/tenant, and probate/estate planning. Many, but not all, of our clients come from Downriver and Monroe. We also represent several local businesses in diverse areas such as horse boarding, atm machines, and landlords. In short, we represent people.

Meet the Business Owner
John K.
Business Owner
John Knappmann has been an attorney for over 25 years, including experience as a Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor and working in various executive capacities in government. An active member of the legal community and the community as a whole, John is a member of the Michigan Bar (including the Criminal, Real Estate, and Probate sections), the Downriver Bar Association, and is a Brownstown Township Trustee. He has previously served on the Brownstown Zoning Board of Appeals and their Planning Commission, the Wayne County Board of Canvassers, the Wayne County Art Authority Board, and helped draft a new Ethics Ordinance for Wayne County.
John is a veteran litigator with over 100 jury trials and countless bench trials and hearings. He has had success from minor traffic cases all the way up to Murder trials. He graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and University of Michigan Law School.
