Café Antonio’s used to be really good, but not anymore. It barely eeks out 2 stars from me for dinner. The cream of mushroom soup was like goopy glue and it was cold. I sent it back. We got 2 small pieces of bruschetta in place of bread for the table. It was decent. I got the baked manicotti and it was ok but nothing special. I ate it because I was really hungry. It was $ 11.99 and included nothing. Soup or salad were $ 2.50 extra. My friend got chicken with broccoli in a garlic, olive oil, white wine sauce over cappelini. Hers came with salad because it was a Monday chicken special. It was $ 12.95. She said it was mediocre. The service was friendly but the waitress knew nothing about the menu. She had to go and ask someone in the back about every item we questioned. She said she only works days. They don’t have pasta and eggplant parm at lunch? That is not made there, so if you’re tempted to order it, I’d say think twice. I will go back for a slice if I’m in the area but I’ll never get one of their dinners again.

YUM! This is a review of their pizza, specifically their $ 4.00 lunch special. For $ 4.00 you get a small fountain soda and 2 slices of your choice of pizza. Go early for the best selection The sauce is tangy, the pizza is thin to medium thickness with a nice crisp exterior while maintaining the chewy surrounding crust that our region is known for. I will say this pizza is best enjoyed fresh, I’m not crazy about it reheated; otherwise, delicious.

I had been trying to find a decent pizza place since I moved to the area. Finally I’ve found it! This isn’t «tomato pie», this is good pizza. I also tried their wings, which were great. Service was on point too, with less than a ten minute wait for two pies, wings, and knots!

The pizza is good. But stay away from the chopped antipasto. Lacked veggies, plenty of ham, salami and provolone.

This is strictly a pizza by the slice review. I ended up here today because Golden Bakery next door was not open for business when I drove up around 2:30 pm. I don’t mind pizza any day of the week, so Café Antonio seemed like a good alternative. Well, not exactly. While the café dining area was old style attractive, it was divided into two parts; the front for people eating the pizza special(2 slices and a 16 oz. drink @ $ 4.), and the rear for waitress service. Unusual, but no problema. I went with their special and waited on my plain cheese slices. They took a few minutes to arrive, which I took to be a good sign that they would be hot and bubbly. Despite the extra time, however, they were only warmed over with the cheese still cool and congealed. To me, even as a loss leader, pizza should be served as hot as it was when made the first time. Unless it gets enough time in the oven, it just does not wake up again. The crust gets hotter due to contact with the oven floor, but the rest stays lukewarm. The sauce is flat and the cheese chewier than it should be. Amazing how few pizza parlors actually understand that serving warmed over pizza guarantees a lost customer, as I won’t return to a place that takes no pride in its offerings, regardless of what it is or what it cost. Here, the sauce was salty, while I prefer a sweeter touch, and the cheese flat and tasteless. The crust was thin and crunchy, but the overall experience was of an underdeveloped pie. The pizza might be good directly after its creation, but I could not tell from what I ate.

This has recently become my new go-to pizza place. I love the fact that they deliver and the service is fast and friendly. Their pies are authentic NJ fare, with great tasty crust. I love their garlic knots which I always get and are awesome. I’ve also had good luck with their subs which were large, well made with quality meats and great tasting rolls. Lastly, they’ve been kind enough to throw in an item as a freebie from time to time which I thought was an awesome gesture and has won me over as a return customer. To be honest, there are a lot of good pizzerias in the area, but Café Antonio’s good, honest food and fast delivery… keeps us coming back for more!

This place is priced decently, and they always promote daily specials. The Sicilian Pie is above average, but all their other slices are average at best. Their wings and garlic knots are pretty good. I’ve never sat down in this place but, it looks cool and private. I’m not a fan of their minimum credit card limit — sometimes a guy just wants a slice to go…

«Tutte le salse sono deliciose,» I told the boss. In other words, we went to the all-you-can-eat pasta night($ 11, with salad or soup and a serving of bruschetta). I had the vodka sauce — fantastic — with linguine, and then reloaded with the scampi sauce; delicious. Both sauces were chunk-full of flavor and ingredients… the vodka sauce has finely minced prosciutto, the scampi sauce plenty of chopped garlic, butter and lemon. The pizza is good, too. The sausage used on pizza has a wonderful«real» Italian taste. I don’t know if it is something they get made for them or commercially available, but it was tasty. They don’t deliver it and there’s no takeout of the pasta on pasta night. I think you can BYOB.

Café Antonio’s is the place on Sunday. For less than $ 20, my entire family enjoys pizza and wings and I don’t have to cook. Sunday is their pizza deal and you just can’t go wrong. Always fresh and delish!!! Check out some of the other specials during the week. Our favorite pizza place in the area.

Just trying to offset the guy who gave this place a one-star. Really??? Are you that mean? So, really, it’s 3-star, perhaps 4 if you catch them on a good day. Real good pizza, nice guys work the kitchen/counter. Great specials. This is our go-to pizzeria for take-out. Really good wings as well. I don’t dine-in here but that’s only because I’m a drinker and they don’t have me covered on that count.

My sister loves this place but I can’t seem to get into it. You really can’t go wrong with pizza but for some reason it just lacks any zip or excitement. I found that each of the times I’ve had pizza from here, I think about chewing cardboard. Also, I’m pretty sick and tired of seeing the Café Antonio van all over Sloan, Quakerbridge, and Flock Roads. I applaud your attempts to get the name out there and gobble up free advertising but give it a rest.

You just can’t beat Antonio’s lunch deal: $ 3 for two slices and a 16oz soda. If you’re thinking about turning in to the Burger King across the street, do yourself a favor by eating some real food for a change. Over the course of two months, I’ve been able to sample the dozen or so varieties of pizza they have during the lunch deal. There is not a single one that I didn’t like, and the place gets so packed during lunch that pies move very fast during peak hours. My favorite: plain and pepperoni with root beer. I believe that the heart and soul of pizza is in the dough and sauce. Why? Because a good pizza shop will make dough and sauce out of scratch and it’s delicious. That being said, Antonio’s may not be the best pizza around, but it’s pretty darn good and I’m betting hard to beat with that price. I always walk out satisfied and full — no regrets whatsoever. Credit cards are accepted, but there is a $ 10 minimum charge, I believe. Yesterday marked my official last visit to Candela’s; I had to go one last time to check and make sure that my pizza lunch allegiance to Antonio’s was being made under sound logic. Oh, and they make one mean eggplant parm sub.

Sunday. A day of rest. A day to watch football, or baseball, or the final round of a golf tournament in your home. Or a bar. A day to finish things up around the house. A day to relax before beginning another grueling week of work. But what to eat? Well, if it’s Sunday, get your butt over to Café Antonio’s Restaurant & Pizzeria for their fantastic takeout deal. $ 5.00. That’s all it takes for a large pizza and a 2 liter soda/iced tea. Not bad. Not bad at all… Neither is the pizza for that matter. It’s good. It’s pretty standard pizzaria good, but good nonetheless. And it’s only $ 5.00! I guess that makes it a little bit better. (Café Antonio’s Restaurant & Pizzeria also offers other deals, though I’m not quite certain what they include.) If you don’t feel like eating pizza, or if you would like to eat there on any day other than Sunday, Café Antonio’s Restaurant & Pizzeria offers a full dining room and plenty of sandwiches and entrees to choose from. I’ve only ever really had their pizza(both traditional and Sicilian), so I’m probably not the ultimate authority on this place. But, did I mention that whole $ 5.00 thing?
