The negative reviews seems to be from a year ago, so looks like they fixed things fairly well. That said, here is the full review: We got lucky in getting one of the ocean-facing rooms, but even without that, it was actually quite good. Yes, it’s a bit run down for sure(the AC broke overnight… but the very next morning they immediately set about fixing it). Beach: It’s NOT far from the beach, its right on it… the«problem» is that the beach is about 1⁄8 mile wide at this point. The WATER is a long ways away. Bugs: No roaches or bed bugs at all. Price: The price is fair for what you get. Don’t expect satin sheets and turn down service, people. ;) But DO expect a mostly comfy bed, a lack of insects, relatively clean rooms with expected stains and occasional dings in the furniture. Customer service: They’re great =)

Spent two nights over the past weekend with my children here. Loud, run down, no parking and far from the beach. If you are traveling with kids, I would look elsewhere. There are less than 20 parking places on the beach side and if none are available then you have to park across a busy, busy street and walk back and forth(not easy with young kids). Rooms are old and tired and not what pictures show — for example, we had a micro-fridge when the pics showed a full-size. And we had a first floor, pool-side room — it was so loud that it made it very tough for our family to stay asleep. People in the pool and walking on the narrow path beside our window until very late at night. And the beach is a hike if you have children in tow. I recommend a wagon to bring things to and from — or better yet — book somewhere else that is closer to the beach, cleaner and more child-friendly. Additionally, the pool was FREEZING and the«kiddie pool» was too. My children and I could not even get in it.

Run down place looks like ask things are old out dated and about to break. This place not worth the money I would never stay here again. The only up side is that the customer service at the front desk wad very very good. nice ladies night and day shift. Cleaning ladies not do much just walk around hating life looks like.

Lovely little gem we found here! If you are looking for a quiet and laid back get away, this is the spot. Located right on the beach, this small place is well kept and clean. Luis at the front desk is great, and all the other staff is so nice too. Our room was clean and all we needed for a simple, no frills weekend at the beach. They have a nice pool area, huge patio with shuffle board, grills and chairs. Great value and location — we will be back!

Don’t believe the hype!!! It is awful here, apartment was dirty with roaches all over. Full kitchen is a joke!!! My fiancé was locked in the bedroom because the door broke and the staff some how pointed the finger at us. The customer service lady was completely rude. This place will never be considered again, even if they gave it to me for free!!!

I like the Tahitian. We’re here during prime time of spring break for $ 130 /night. That is a big 1BR with a window that looks at the beach and a full kitchen. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s clean and everything works. The folks at the front are VERY friendly and helpful. You can’t be any closer to the beach and they have a nice pool for the kids when they get tired of the ocean. I think it’s pretty likely we’ll be back.
