History

Established in 1971.

Scuba North began in a small gas station near Bower’s Harbor in 1971 and has steadily grown over the years to better serve the greater Traverse City area. Over the years, the store has moved to a few different locations in the Elmwood and Greilickville area, and we are now located at 833 South Garfield Avenue. With over 44 years of success, we look forward to adding you to our long history of happy divers.

Bob fell in love with scuba diving on his first trip to Mexico. Bob enjoys being able to serve the public at Scuba North, where our professional dive staff and their expertise is the driving force of the business. Bob hopes to provide you such a positive experience you’ll remember to return to Scuba North when you’re in search of a great adventure underwater.
