Specialties
Cog’s Creek is a hip gallery of contemproary fine art & craft with an array of ceramics, fiber, works-on-paper & canvas, jewelry, furniture and sculpture by about 15 northern Michigan & regional artists.
History
Established in 2011.
Cog’s Creek Gallery is named after a dog (Cog) who cares more about a creek than most anything else in her life. The creek-in-question runs behind this city gallery, which opened May 27, 2011 in the old Coddington Dry Cleaners building, a Traverse City landmark located in the historic Little Bohemia neighborhood.
A year-long renovation project turned a 3,000 square foot, concrete & brick box into a hip gallery of contemproary fine craft and working artist & craftsmen studios, including owner Kim Bazemore’s own jewelry studio. Cog, the Chocolate Lab, is there most days too, greeting gallery visitors — when she is not down by the creek.
