History

Established in 2009.

John and Sharon opened their doors for business on Oct 1^st 2009. As they close in on their first full year of business they have helped many individuals remain safely in their homes while providing many needed jobs in the Northern Michigan area. BrightStar of Northern Michigan continues to raise the bar for service and quality with the expected accreditation by the Joint Commission, the agency which accredits hospitals, Medicare and Medicaid agencies, and hospice organizations.

John Z.

Business Owner

John has spent most of his life in healthcare working the last 27 years in the pharmaceutical industry in sales, marketing, and sales management. John has also spent most of his life helping others. His desire to help began in Boy Scouts where John learned the value and personal satisfaction from helping others. He continued to help others as a volunteer fireman and EMT in Illinois for 20 years, coaching youth sports, serving on his local parish council, and of course serving as Scoutmaster for 12 years.

John and his wife Sharon started BrightStar with that same commitment to helping others. Their goal is to provide the same level of care they would expect for their parents. Every aspect of the work they do is based on one simple rule — «Would you provide this level of service for your parents?» If the answer is no then they look for a better solution. «We will not put anyone into your home we would not put in our parents home»
