I was on the hunt for aqua socks or crocs! It’s a glam world being a parent. As it was mid-August, every store was sold out of «water shoes» and if my little guy was going to enjoy the beach, I needed some. Damn you, zebra mussels! Luckily, I hit the croc jackpot! Right size, right place, right time(and right price at $ 4!) at Back Around Again. New ones are upwards of $ 20. Happy little feet for the rest of vacation AND plenty of extra wear and tear on them once we’ve gotten home. It’s a very nicely run shop. Nice staff. A lot of selection. I wouldn’t say its super well curated but the basics are all covered here, but you’ll be picking through a lot of discount brands, be warned. Totally fine with me! I also picked up a long sleeved shirt for the tyke for the chillier nights and a never worn pair of high tops in a bigger size for down the road(Children’s Place). Buying things full priced for kids is a joke, they either ruin it or outgrow it within moments so secondhand is the way to go! Get it home, give it a good wash and you are in business. They also have a selection of new toys and books(including Melissa & Doug products!) — so its not all«previously loved.» There is also a small maternity clothes section for those expecting. This place is a goldmine if you are 1. having a baby and need to get some of the essentials at a fraction of the price. Babies hardly use stuff! 2. want to consign some of your items(call to check about policies and intake times). Enjoy!
