Turf-N-Tree

What a wonderful experience we had with this business over the last 2 ½ weeks! Great guys, great workmanship, wonderful communication and attention to detail including cleaning up after themselves each day before they went home.
If you need any kind of landscaping work we highly recommend you check them out. They cleared out an old, cracked patio and some dead lawn and installed the most beautiful pavers you can imagine. Very professional all the way from Oscar’s first visit until the entire yard was scrubbed clean once the job was finished.

Excellent service & more than fair price. The team laid sod, repaired fences and cut a tall tree away from the house for me. The work was completed perfectly in less than 24 hours after I received the quote and they cleaned up after themselves like they’d never been there. I am thrilled! Scott and his crew have done some palm tree trimming for me in the past, and so when I needed to replace the 75′ wooden fence and wooden retaining wall being pushed out due to the queen palm root system (bad planning by the original owners), my mind immediately went to Turf n Tree.
After several bids from local contractors, I realized that there was a fear and lack of confidence they all had due to these trees. None of them would guarantee:
1. The queen palms wouldn’t fall over after the current retaining wall was removed.
2. The new wood retaining wall would contain the roots long enough to not have to revisit this problem in a couple of years.
Oscar from Turf n Tree came by and we talked about options. There was clearly a higher degree of experience and knowledge I got from Oscar. After he understood my concerns about strength and longevity of the fence/​gate & retaining wall, he suggested a retaining wall system using interlocking stones by McNear. He walked me through how the entire job would go step by step. Then he wrote up a couple of different quotes, sent them to me electronically, and left me with a clear understanding of what my options were.
It took Oscar & his crew about 5 & ½ days of hard work (rain & shine) to complete this job. There was no time wasted and they kept the job site as clean as possible throughout. There was clear communication by Oscar during the job, so I always knew how their progress was going and if there needed to be any changes. They also had to contend with my uncooperative neighbor barking orders at them for encroaching ¼″ on his property line with a fence slat. They took this in stride like professionals.
In the end, I was left with a gorgeous 75′ long redwood fence + gate sitting atop a 26″ high Merlot style versa-​lok McNear stone retaining wall system that is sure to last for many years to come & be the envy of the neighborhood :)
He even up sold me on adding black lava stone and fountain grass in front of the wall — which compliments his handy work quite well I might add.
I am a very particular person & I literally could not be happier with the outcome of this project! These guys do exceptional work and take pride in their craft. This was an expensive project for me and something that weighed heavily on my mind while saving up for and planning it.
I feel like I got exactly what I paid for in the end; a gorgeous corner lot and piece of mind that the work was done with the quality & care to last.

We needed a 40 foot tall Raywood Ash removed from our front yard. The tree’s roots were extremely invasive and were beginning to crack the front porch concrete. Turf N Tree removed the tree, the stump and a root system that had taken over the entire front yard and part of the side yard. They added too and amended the soil. Removed a bunch of rocks, and raked and rolled it smooth. T&T installed new sprinkler risers, installed new turf and planted a very nice non-​invasive replacement tree. T&T also removed several large bushes and planted appropriate replacements. The entire job was completed in 1.5 days and the job site was left spotless. All work was performed as advertised and estimated. T&T was on-​time, and professional in all respects. Scott (the owner) and Oscar (who provided the original estimate) visited the work site frequently and their on-​site supervisor demonstrated he had years of experience and knowledge. We recommend Turf N Tree without reservation and will use their services in the future.

Scott is very professional. Sticks to his quotes. His team is quick, efficient and clean. They removed an awkward tree within 15 minutes. Will hire them again.
