I have been bringing my toy poodle here FOREVER. Michelle is always so kind, caring, and attentive– although she is very busy all the time. When I came to pick up my dog today, Michelle, and the owner explained to me that during grooming my dog was nicked with the clippers. They were extremely apologetic and offered to pay any vet expenses. I immediately brought my dog to the vet just to make sure she didn’t need stitches, it was a small gash and just needs to be monitored at home for a few days until it scabs over. She is not in pain, and not licking the cut. The way they handled this was extremely professional and I, of course, will be returning. We all know our pups can be squirmy while being groomed (otherwise we would do it ourselves), I do not blame them for this and I know it was an honest mistake. Michelle even wrote down her cell number so I could text her if the vet said she needed to have any work done. I appreciated there honesty and the way they handled the situation.

I took my dog here and they did a lousy job. They didn’t cut his ears and his shampoo was half ass. The only thing i noticed they did was his eyes (not face) and sanitary. Lousy job. We won’t be returning to this place.

Here goes! So this place used to be pretty good a few years back, they moved locations, increased clientele and the quality exponentially went down. My family and I have noticed that the past few times we’ve taken our dog here, they try to take the easy way out. We have a small Maltese/​shih tzu dog about 11 pounds and we like to keep his hair medium length, especially in the winter when the days are colder. However, when we brought him for his last appointment, the lady at the front desk said that we would have to shave all his hair off because he was «matted». Mind you, we brush out his hair every single day and even brushed him a little extra before his appointment. I asked the lady to show me what exactly she was talking about and she ran her hands smoothly through his hair saying that there were some tangles which would «take too much time, and I’m not gonna sit there and brush his hair». Uhm girl you’re a groomers? That’s your job to groom. When I get my haircut at the salon, my hair dresser doesn’t complain about briefly brushing out my hair before she cuts it because she knows that it’s part of the process, that’s what she gets paid for. She didn’t want to cut it medium length because it takes half the time to run a blade over his body, and I’m sorry but I’m not spending $ 50 for something that can be done at home. I’ve also spoke to other customers who had similar experiences and none of us will be returning. All in all, unless you want your dog completely shaved and like to deal with rude and unprofessional people, I suggest going elsewhere :)

Thank you Pampered Pet for getting the dogs ready for Thanksgiving company! I always like that the dogs wag their tails when we pull up to the Spa! A clear sign of how well they’re treated while in your care!

Also, since I have brought my dog home he has been acting very strange! He’s not himself and he seems almost traumatized. He won’t let me touch him as much he freaks out he keeps hiding himself and sleeps all day long and doesn’t even eat. He keeps licking one spot in his arm I think they hurt him and who knows what else they did. I just read a review that someone saw workers hitting the dog? I hope not!

I love the Pampered Pet. Michelle is awesome. I have been taking my pets here for years. They are always so friendly. They are wonderful with my pets. They do such a fantastic job on dogs and cats. Just took my long haired Siamese in for a lion cut and bath. He looks adorable! Thank you Michelle! You rock!

I apologize for the long review but I know some of us love our dogs more than life itself and I told myself I would only give 5 stars with my reviews but when it comes to my babies I break my own rules. So there goes the 3 stars because of Michelle and my past experiences.
Where to begin?!! Let’s see, if Michelle was the only employee of this place it would be an amazing place for she is an amazing person, I only trust her with my dogs.(From what I could see, she is too busy taking care of everything else to groom my dogs by herself) However, the quality of the service has declined while the prices got increased. I used to love taking my dogs here but after our last couple of visits I changed my mind about staying as a costumer. I brought my big king shepherd I asked to please cut the fur by her feet and to get rid of most of the mast by her belly. When I picked her up about 5hrs later, even though she had an appointment; her ears were dirty, the fur wasn’t cut and all the mats on her belly/​hind legs were still there but she was brushes to perfection and was very clean. Then I brought my little 10 lb baby and he had 2 nipples cut and the ears where so square and nails so long I couldn’t stand it.
My husband asked me to leave when we dropped my little dog off because he saw another employee hitting a pup because he wasn’t letting her do a Mohawk and apparently she was being too rough with him. For my husband to say something like this is because it was bad really bad. (The other employee was the blond girl who is always there and the dog was a small white dog)

I went to The Pampered Pet for the first time and Michelle helped me, she was wonderful. She knew how much my little Stella girl meant to me and she made me feel really comfortable leaving her. When I picked up Stella, I let her roam the car and she was one hell of a happy girl. She was all nice and clean and smelled really good. I will be going there again, for sure!

Wish I could give negative stars. This place shaved my maltipoo and she was not given the teddy bear looking face that we spoke about, they even shaved the hair off her ears. I paid and then went back in to say I was very unhappy and was never apologized to except talk to very rudely with fingers pointing at me and hands moving the whole time. I told the lady she was talking to me very unprofessionally they never even offered money back or even just a sorry. She kept talking sh&$@ to me the whole time even as I was leaving out the door, she did not know when to stop. VERY VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. The place looks nothing like the pictures. They even cut my dogs nails to short u could see blood in her nails. My dog went in cuter than she came out. She had a few nots here and there but nothing enough to give reason to shave her. Seems as if they just don’t want to take there time to groom correctly and just want to shave off to do quickly and easy money.

While Michelle (owner?) is nice and the grooming seemed good, I had some unfortunate experiences and will not go back. First time there while picking up my dog, one of the employees did not clasp the collar on all the way and when my dog pulled the attached leash, the collar came off, the door was open and my dog ran into the busy parking lot. Luckily my husband ran after her and was able to get her quickly before she was hit by a car. Since the owner seemed as horrified by this as we were, I figured I would give them one more shot as it was an honest mistake. On pick up for the second time, I was given a Boston Terrier to take home with me, when my dog is a German Shepherd. I had to explain that I was given the wrong dog and describe my dog.
Also on the second grooming visit, I had to specify we need anal gland extraction as my dogs were exhibiting behaviors common with full anal glands and made us think that they were not extracted the first visit. We specifically asked to have the anal glands extracted and we were ensured they could do this. Unfortunately my dogs started exhibiting even more behaviors consistent with issues of anal glands. So after the second grooming appt made a vet appointment. After taking them to the vet, one dog had one infected anal gland (that required two rounds of antibiotics) that «most likely» was caused by incorrect extraction and the other gland was completely full. My other dog had two full glands but no infection. I can’t say for sure it was caused by this groomer, but it was quite coincidental we starting having these issues as soon as we switched groomers… especially since we never had any anal gland issues in the 8 – 9 years we used other groomers.
I don’t think the issues I had are because of a bad owner, I think they are just too busy, too rushed and may have some inexperienced employees that work there. Saying that, I won’t be going back again as it’s important my dogs are well taken care of, are kept from running into the parking lot and are not accidentally given to someone else.

What a mistake! Took my small pup in for a shampoo. He smelled great, but he was limping when I got him back! Since I had just come from our vet where he had an exam, it only could’ve been caused by the bather’s treatment of him. Michelle was kind and tried to get some answers from the staff, but deny, deny, deny! I paid the $ 25 fee for this bath, and told Michelle I was taking him back to the vet. I called her afterward and told her what the finding was.
Vet found that he had swelling in his arm/​shoulder. He got pain meds and for two days, he wouldn’t put weight on that foot. Nominal vet bill — $ 76.00, and they graciously (not!) offered to reimburse me $ 38.
In all, my trip to the Pampered Pet Grooming & Spa cost me $ 101 for a bath, and traumatized my dog.

Very good groomers my dog hates baths and they are so good with her. They are very reasonably priced too!

We have been going to the Pampered Pet since the first week they opened. They always take such good care of our dog, and we don’t trust her with anyone but them! Michelle is wonderful, and always so kind and sweet with the animals.
The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and Gidget always looks and smells so good after a grooming visit! I would recommend them to EVERYONE.

Not a good experience-​I actually turned around and left in the lobby choosing to not use their services. The lobby was very small and cramped — customer service was not their forte. I cannot speak to the quality of grooming because I didn’t leave my dog there.

My little chihuahua was a rescue dog & only with me for about 2 months when I brought him to Pampered Pets. My dog rarely barks & scares easily. I believe he had some bad past experiences. With that being said, I was so nervous about taking him to be groomed. But Michelle introduced herself to me & handled my little guy with so much care. When I arrived to pick him up, his tail was wagging. I was so excited & he smelled so good for a dog :) The small things matter to me but the fact that my dog was happy when I arrived shows me that he was treated with care.

Place and since they were mixed I gave them a shot. Well I should have known better. My dog is never going back to this
place again. Shortly after taking her she began scratching and itching we thought it was because of her sensitive skin. After close examination I realized she had gotten fleas. I definitely got more then what I bargained for! Never again

I was a customer of Pampered Pet Grooming & Spa for 6 years and had 2 of our dogs groomed there — a Pomeranian and a mixed Maltese/​Chihuahua. For the first approximately first 4 years when the original owner was managing the business, I was satisfied with their service. About 2 years ago, the new manager, Michelle, took over managing and that’s when I began to notice problems.
First our Pomeranian came home in pain from an anal gland cleaning they performed. I took her to the vet and she informed me that her (our Pomeranian) anal gland was ripped from the grooming. I had to pay a significant vet examination fee for this. I requested that Pempered Pet Grooming and Spa no longer perform anal gland cleanings on my dogs.
Another time, my Pomeranian came home from Pampered Pet Grooming & Spa with eye discomfort. Once again, I took her to the vet and they determined the cause was from solutions that they were using during grooming and I requested that they be more careful and to avoid getting solution into our Pomeranian’s eyes. Once again, I had to incur another significant vet fee.
About a year later, our mixed Maltese/​Chihuahua came home with the same issue — eye discomfort. Once again, I had to take my mixed Maltese/​Chihuahua to the vet and, once again, they determined that it was due to the solution during grooming. Once again, I incurred another significant vet fee and I asked them to be careful and not get solution into our dogs’ eyes.
About a year ago, when I went in to their groomers and they were still grooming our mixed Maltese/​Chihuahua, I could hear the groomer in the background yelling at our dog, telling him to stop biting. I found this to be unprofessional and it concerned me. I then started noticing that our dog would whimper in pain when I would touch him on his ribs.
About 2 months ago, Pampered Pet Grooming and Spa requested that I get our mixed Maltese/​Chihuahua sedation pills before bringing him to be groomed because he is scared, stressed, hyper and occasionally nips. I went to the vet, and she prescribed Acepromazine.
About 1 month ago, I took our mixed Maltese/​Chihuahua for grooming and when they were done grooming, they called and left a message to come pick him up. When I called back, they informed me that our dog had passed out completely, they thought he was dead and that they had to perform mouth-​to-​mouth resuscitation to revive him.
I took him to the vet again and she double-​checked the medication and said that this shouldn’t happen but, just to be safe, switch to Benadryl. When I called to make an appointment for our mixed Maltese/​Chihuahua again, I told Michelle that our vet wanted to switch our dog to Benadryl just to be safe. Michelle told me that she would call me right back, which she didn’t. At the end of the day, I called back and the attendant there said that she had already left for the day and I told them that I would call them the next day.
The next day, I called them and talked to Michelle and her and someone in the office started yelling and mocking our vet and saying that it was ridiculous to prescribe Benadryl. She then came back on the phone and said Benadryl wouldn’t work. When I asked if they had any other suggestions, they offered no other alternatives and said they could no longer groom our dog.
Our mixed Maltese/​Chihuahua is 10 years old and weighs 12 lbs. I find it hard to believe that they could not adequately groom a dog of that size. How would they ever groom a much larger dog? I then called other groomers around town to see if they would groom our dog and they said of course and that it is ridiculous that they could not handle our dog. They said they are professionally trained to deal with dogs like this, even much larger dogs with many issues including rescue dogs.
If you are considering using Pampered Pet Grooming & Spa, please consider my experience/​issues there, including the unexplained fainting, anal gland ripping, eye irritation, rib pain, vet trips/​costs, poor customer service and other issues I experienced there. Please, also consider the other negative reviews that have been posted on here including the dog that came home with a black eye. I believe that groomers should behave more professionally, be better trained and be more compassionate towards the animals and clients they serve.

I strongly advise that you stay away from this establishment. I would try Bella’s Grooming Boutique or other groomers. At least you won’t end with $$$ in vet bills!
Today I got my mini Schnauzer Gwen back and when we arrived at home I noticed that she couldn’t stop shaking her head and was keeping her head tilted to one side. My poor little girl was miserable.
I took her to the vet and found out the groomer left one of her ears very inflamed. Not to mention that we asked for her nails to be trimmed and they didn’t. I went back to demand a refund from the owner and he said «there’s no way that’s going to happen». Bad answer. There is no excuse for bad customer service in this bad economy. And there is definitely no room for lousy groomers making mistakes that wind up costing you vet bills! BTW Per the owner, Michelle was the groomer.
It’s not the first time either. I took my male Schnauzer last year and they did not properly express his anal gland. It wound up getting really inflamed and costing us more than $ 130 in vet bills. I regret not having said something or done something back then. But I was being nice and thinking «hey it happens».
I had a co-​worker who use to go there too but had her dog returned to her almost completely bald. They requested a specific cut and requested they call her should anything change. Did they call? NO! Almost bald dog is what they got. She asked for a refund stating they should have called because in that case she could have shaved him herself.
I feel real dumb for giving this place more than one chance. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Don’t even give them a try. TAKE REVIEWS LIKE MINE AND Cathy H, Anya S, Alfonso N’s AND ESPECIALLY APRIL M.‘S (dog returned w/​black eye) VERY SERIOUSLY.
Considering costs of more than $ 300 (my orig money back+vet bill+filing+serving them+my time) I have to evaluate if I want to take them to court. I want to prevent them from getting away with something like this or what happed to «April M.».
My advice for this establishment is to admit to their faults and simply offer refunds and an apology in these cases which is common practice in other service-​oriented establishments. Otherwise they will soon find themselves out of business as many businesses have in these times.
