NY Pizza & Kabob

The philly cheese steak is awesome. The chicken and other kabab plates are also pretty tasty. We order from here a lot and the quality and taste is always very consistent (except the wings which have been a hot or a miss)
Definitely recommend the place.

I’m Afghan and don’t like most Afghan restaurants, that’s probably because my mom is the best Afghan cook so I’m really picky when it comes to Afghan food. I came here a couple days ago with my friend who suggested this place, and I was hesitant because the last time I tried this place was about three years ago and did not like it at all. Well, this place has a new owner and the kabobs are amazing! I got the Tika kabob with bolani… best kabob and bolani hands down! I brought my mom the next day and she’s even pickier than me and she loved this place! Their chicken kabob and somosa are also really good.

Mediocre is a good way to explain this place. The pizza is largely underwhelming. I liked some of the other offering but if you are looking for a good pizza place I would try any of the many pizza places in Tracy.

I come here for the cheese steaks and the burgers. Best place in town hands down, looking forward to stopping here again sometime

This place was pretty good. I ordered the shami kabob plate and was pleased with both the quality and quantity. You get quite a bit of food per order. It came with two kabob skewers, rice, salad, flat bread, a side of garbanzo beans, and chutney – all of which tasted really good. Would definitely come back to try other their other fare, like the gyros or the chef’s combo.

Just had the Philly cheesesteak combo. Amazingly tasteful and great price. Definitely coming back. Again great food

Went here for the first time. We ordered kabobs for the hubby and I got pizza. Was really really good. The kabobs took a while to make but at the end it was well worth it. I’m glad there is places like this in Tracy

very delicious pizzas here, as well as the kebabs. Pizzas was very cheesy, and the dough was thin just like ny pizza. This is my new pizza stop from now on and great prices.

As much as i love this pizza we will no longer be getting our pizza here. Posted outside their doors is the picture i posted. ANY 2 LARGE pizza for $ 17.95 apparently means only pizzas in the picture. I argued with this man but I found out this time that «customer is NOT always right. Talk about customer service!!!

Ordered from here a few times and so far things have been great. The pizza is great and they have not made any mistakes. Their dough is especially good, always cooked perfectly.

Since moving to Tracy, we’ve been looking for our go to pizza place, this is NOT it! With that being said, my gyro was great, and anytime I don’t feel like cooking, and I’m craving afghan food, I’m sure I will call in an order.
Please, someone, put a decent pizza delivery place in Tracy. The kind of pizza with the ooey gooey chewy real mozzarella cheese…

I had the chicken kabab with rice and the nypk burger. Both were sooo flavorfull and filled with magnificent spices. Defintely will be back next time! going to try the pizza next

I’ve been here twice now and so far I’ve really enjoyed the food. My favorite is the combo Kebabs over rice. Very tasty! Probably not good if you have high blood pressure, but it’s worth at least a try! The pizza is ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ in terms of how it turns out. The first time the pizza crust was too hard/​crispy… But the second time was just right. I am a strong believer that everyone has bad days, but if I have 3 bad experiences in a row in terms of Food quality, customer service and wait time; I move on!!! Thanks for reading my review.

Great food and a kind proprietor.
I have had the pizza and enjoyed it. I really go here for the afghan food.
Tried the baby pumpkin with garlic and it was delicious.
I am a fan of their kabobs-​be sure to ask for chatney
Relatively clean.
A bit slow, but always kind service and the food is worth it.
Decent pricing.
I go for dine in and do a bit of take out.

Food is great! Pizza never disappoints & the burger patty has an awesome flavor to it!

Despite the few reviews from others I decided to go to this restaurant and try their food.
I found the food to be very affordable and tasy (pure afghani traditional style) good blend of Pizza with their own style.
Remember: to go to the counter and order your food, dont just go in lobby, sit and expect someone to come and take your order since it is kind a like a fast food but in their own style but if u tell them ur gonna wait in lobby someone then will come for you, but not on their own.
This restaurant is run by a husband & wife and they dont have much of a staff to help, so please feel free to help yourself. By the way the food was delicious and on a very affordable price.
I had 2 full seekh kabob with a bucket of bread + yogurt and chilly sauce for just $ 7.99 and it was plenty of me and my wife. Hope this review will help others

Sadly downgrading to 3 stars as the last few times I have been here the experience has been less impressive.
The restaurant seems to be an after thought where the staff concentrate most of their attention on the take out. The food quality (Kabobs) appears to have gone downhill and the last time I came here I witnessed some not so pleasant food practices from the gentleman who prepares and cooks the food.
The Pizza’s are still good, some of the better to be found in Tracy.

First time here and I’ll be back. Yes, the service in the afternoon is sketchy being walk-​up. However the chef was pleasant and helpful.
The food we ordered was all Middle Eastern and all excellent. It was fresh and tasty.
We had the large combo platter and some egg plant dish we could not pronounce.
It was all excellent. I’ll be back.

The kabobs are to die for, my favorite is the Tika Beef. Portions are generous and they don’t have an extensive staff because this is a mom and pop type restaurant. Also, this is a pizza place and they are not claiming to be a fancy joint, just wanted to clarify given the below reviews seem to bash the place on customer service. If you are concerned about looks, go to as chain, but if you’re interested in excellent food and a kind server/​owner who is a hard working small business owner, give this place a try.

I visited NY Pizza & Kabob on 2−21−13, fairly early in the evening. Arriving, I was the only person in the place so, I was attended to and ordered right away. There are two menus to choose from. Italian and an Afghan menus. I tried their Afghan menu.
As an appetizer, I ordered the butter squash. for the main course, I ordered both the chicken and lamb kabob’s, which come with your choice of white or brown rice and a small side salad.
The wait time to get my order took a bit longer than I liked but, I made use of the time by getting the restaurants address, business hours and interior photos to post on Unilocal.
Once my order was up, I grabbed it and headed out the door for home. Once there, I gave both the lamb and chicken a try. In my opinion, I think the lamb was overcooked a bit because it was tough and chewy. The chicken was cooked and tasted perfect. I also really liked the rice and the accompanying garbanzo bean salad.
This is a super nice and clean restaurant with great customer service. One of the highlights is the traditional Afghan Style seating in the dinning room. It adds culture and uniqueness which makes it a 4 star place in my book.
