Just Awesome Concrete

I live in Tracy CA. The summer sun is intense.
I have used Julio from Just Awesome concrete twice, and am happy with both jobs. First was in 2012 to strip, restain and seal an existing stamped and colored patio. The acid stain and sealant used turned out nice.
I just finished having him restrain the same area. The sun in Tracy is intense and the acid stain was starting to fade. This time he used a brush on non acid stain which covered extremely well. (This stain didn’t exist three years ago.) He then applied two coats of sealant which really made the color pop. Looks very nice.
Three things I learned:
1. Weather has to be not to hot or too cool. Start early am.
2. Be patient and allow stain and sealer to cure for a day between activities
3. Keep your animals in the house while the stain cures. Our cat decided to take a walk on the fresh stain, and left a «trail» on unstained concrete. (Julio was great and got it up with Muriatic Acid. But lesson learned on my part)
Overall, top notch job. And he’s now branching into concrete etching. I’m updating our house and will likely try this on other concrete areas.

Just Awesome Concrete started out awesome. Made an appointment for estimate and Julio arrived on time and gave me the a verbal estimate. That was in Feb 2015, I called several times and sent emails. I got two call backs from Julio, but never a final estimate. I really wanted to do business with Just Awesome Concrete, I was super patience and understanding. To be fair, I didn’t give them 1 star. In the end, if you didn’t want my business, you could have told me and not waste my time.

Julio did a great pattio cover for me at my townhouse.
The construction was done on time and the quality of work is excellent.
Its been close to 5 yrs — no issues what so ever!
Julio is also very responsive to after sales support calls!
I needed some documentation regarding the work that was done 5yrs ago — Julio not only remembered the exact job he did as soon as i told him my address but was prompt in his response to dig it up and send it over to me.
I would not hesitate to recommend him.
Perhaps he would be my first choice next time too.

Just Awesome Concrete is just that «Just Awesome» We embarked into a sizeable make over to our back yard and started with good size cost in our phase one. Just Awesome Concrete was one of three contractors we were looking at. Julio won the bid, not just on cost but on his communication, honesty and willingness to exceed our expectations. He is up front with every detail and open when something does not make sense. During the project we ran into hiccups with a pre-​existing condition and instead of stopping and pushing back, he worked with us to develop solutions to not only the existing conditions but to complete the project on time and to budget. Julio and his team did outstanding work, the quality is top notch and it looks so good that we have now contacted him to start our second phase of the project. We have had many positive comments on the workmanship from our friends and neighbors. Julio is more than a contractor, he is a collaborative partner in meeting our renovation needs. Thank you for the openness’, communication, honesty and high quality work. It is hard to find all these qualities now a days in a single place.

Julio and his crew did more than what we were expecting «JUST AWESOME». They lived by that phrase and can’t be more than happy to have them beautifies our backyard. Julio’s customer service is top notch. We did a lot of modification on our first plan and without any hesitation, he accommodated everything we’ve asked him. Julio is an honest contractor and a good person with clean conscience. He’s not the kind of person that will make money out of you when you don’t know nothing about construction. I’ll greatly recommend him.

This company does amazing work. We’ve had Julio work on 2 of our houses as well as my uncles house. The crew is prompt and courteous and jobs are extremely well priced. The work is beautiful.

Julio and his crew are great! We had a horrible first experience with another company, and our neighbors used Julio (they highly recommended him) so we called him! Just Awesome concrete is more than just concrete, they did our sprinklers, retaining wall in our back & front yard, travertine patio & side walk, sod, plants, lighting, outdoor kitchen, arbor and I’m sure I’m missing some other things! We have been using Julio and he’s Guys for over the passed year, they are all very professional and nice! They do amazing work and price good! We couldn’t be happier with how our front an back yard turned out! I’m sure my husband will be finding another project for Julio and his guys to do! We def highly recommend Just Awesome Concrete!

I hired Julio to do my entire concrete deck, with stamped concrete. I had designed the steps but Julio showed how much better it would look with larger steps down to the lake. I must admit it looks great. I also had Julio do my sprinklers and my lawn. Julio has finished two other projects that I have referred to him with my neighbors all the jobs turned out great but are all different. I also referred him to two more neighbors that he and his crews are working on. Julio is honest his prices are competitive, and his work is truly awesome!!! I must also add that his crews are great and honest! I would recommend Just Awesome Concrete to anyone needing the total contractor.

I had a backyard disaster at the new home I purchased. I called around to various contractors on a Saturday morning and was disappointed in the results. Some «no answers» and some voice mails, no live voices. I left messages and waited for return calls. About 2 hours later Julio from Just Awesome Concrete called. He apologized for the wait and while he does not like to work on Sunday he agreed to come over the next day to look at the job and give me an estimate. I had left 6 messages and the only other call I received was the following Thursday evening.
Julio arrived on time and we began talking about what I wanted and what options I had. He was good at listening to what we had in mind and even better at making suggestions that would enhance the job without trying to change our intentions. He gave me a price on the spot and it was about what I expected. I told him I would get back to him because I still expected that other contractors would call (all I read about is the bad economy and people out of work). By Tuesday evening I called Julio to accept his offer and schedule the work. It has been my experience that if you have to chase a contractor to get a quote it will only get worse after you hire him. I believe in relationships in business more than contracts and I felt very good about Julio and the way he presented himself.
He started the job about 5 days latter. The stamped concrete patio was done 4 days after they started. They installed the sprinklers and sod as soon as the concrete could be walked on. His crew was well mannered, dressed professionally and did great work. They left everything clean and neat at the end of the day.
Bottom line is we are very happy with the job. Julio did what he said he would do and the quality is top notch. Next time I have a project I will save some time and only make one call.

Don’t let the name fool you. They do more than just awesome concrete.
I called Julio, from Just Awesome Concrete to get an estimate for a small concrete pad in my backyard. He responded quickly and was very nice. His prices were reasonable, so I hired him. Within a few days his crew began working. He said he would finish in two days, but he finished in one. I was telling him that we were going to have the rest of the yard landscaped when he was finished with the concrete and he informed me that they also did landscaping. He gave me an estimate for everything else I needed done and it also was very reasonable. They had done such a nice job on the patio that I gave him the job to finish. They added another concrete patio, leveled the backyard, replaced the sod in the backyard, added sod in the front yard, put in edging and sprinklers and added lava rock to both yards. They did all of this in 2 days! And they did such an amazing job. From the pictures, I could see that they did nice work, so I trusted him and didn’t micro manage the job. I was pleased with all of the little details they added without being asked. He has a really good eye and I was thrilled with the results. I could see from the pictures on his website that he does beautiful work. What can’t be seen is the incredible customer service you will receive from Julio. I would highly recommend him for any landscape or concrete work you need. Thanks Julio… I LOVE my yards! You Rock
