You don’t have to wait for a summer break or for a new session to start. Just call one of our year-​round swim schools for more information on class availability; it’s as easy as that! Classes are offered from 8AM to 8PM, Monday through Thursday for all ages. We also have Saturday classes available. If a swim session has already started and there is still room to accommodate you, the cost can be prorated based on the number of classes. Call and sign up today! Learning to swim is not only a life saving skill… it’s also fun!

We offer classes for ages 6 months thru adults year round in our indoor, heated pools.

History

Established in 1973.

With over forty years teaching experience, Jim Booth has found the answer: Early success leads to bigger successes-​one step at a time. Our swim teachers use gentle encouragement plus high expectations to build happy, confident swimmers.

How We Teach:

Welcome to the Jim Booth Swim School. Our program started over 40 years ago with one goal in mind: Excellence! Our techniques are unique and emphasize good basics. It is easier to learn the right way the first time, than to have to relearn later.

A Little Progress Everyday…

This is our swim school motto and your teacher’s goal. We believe that a lot of little steps lead to great achievements and self-​confidence.

Our innovative use of a smaller teaching pool allows swimmers to develop their stroke and confidence. The supportive teachers and warm water (94 degrees) helps kids relax. Swimming short distances with constant positive guidance encourage good stroke habits encouraged in the children.

I strongly believe that swimming should be fun. When kids are having a great time, they progress faster and become great swimmer.

Our teachers constantly challenge our students in ways that help them explore the water while learning the fundamentals of great swimming.

Over forty years of experience has taught us that learning correctly in the beginning leads to lifelong success. Practice doesn’t make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.

My family had me in the water as a young child, before I could walk. I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t swimming. It was a fun and memorable family tradition that I hope to share with your family. This is why I love the Parent/​Baby classes. These initial experiences in the water help create a lifelong appreciation for the water.

This is not just a business for me. I enjoy meeting the students & their parents. I’m always available to answer questions or chat about swimming.
