I keep coming back here, even though this office is not an «approved provider» on my insurance list. Even with the higher deductible, the prices are good but mostly the care and professionalism are the best I’ve found in Tracy. I’m also glad that the optometrist is separate from the Costco optical department, so there is no hard sell to purchase frames, lenses from them.

Dr. Upshaw is the best, he takes his time, really cares about his patiences
his one person staff is super nice… he sees lots of people and has been the main stay of the costco eye office for years and years, so look…
take it from a guy that believes in great service, you need an eye exam go to Dr. Upshaw he is your guy and no… you do not need to be member of costco to see him.

After my dilema with Wal-Mart…I decided to go to Costco to buy some food. I stopped by the Optical department to ask some questions and didn’t realize that there is an optometrist right next door. So I went there and was seen right away because someone no-​showed.
I am leaving for Europe soon and decided to get contact lenses for the first time. And might I say the world is so much clearer and brighter! Ha! ha!.. I love them.
Dr. Upshaw is very, very thorough. His receptionist is very sweet and patient. The service is quick and excellent. For teeny, weeny, tiny office office, Dr. Upshaw sees a lot of patients and they move people through really quick!!!
