The best all you can eat dining hall option at Towson University. The last time I went there wasn’t so bad but other times it gives you the McDonald’s processed food hangover. Great going in but then it hits your gut and then it hits you even later. I run a student association at TU and my students take me here sometimes. They go to it as a last resort and because as part of their dorm housing agreement they have to sign up for a dining plan and have 14 meals a week to spend. Usually they eat somewhere else or settle for instant noodles at home. The lines during the weekdays to get prepared individually for you items such as burgers, cheesesteaks, omelets, and mongolian stir fry can be long and they start winding up around 7pm. At 7:30 there’s just dried up buffet items like pizza, fries, and salad. At 8pm they kick you out. My last trip to Newell Dining Hall– Fries crispy on outside, creamy inside. Barbecue chicken moist and flavorful. Fishcake passable. Cheesesteak blah but I added sriracha and soy sauce. Pizza not good. Omelets bad. They get the eggs from a plastic bag rather than from eggs with shells. Chocolate soymilk good.
