The service department at Maserati of Baltimore is absolutely outstanding. I have owned many fine cars, and I have never had such a positive experience with any dealer, at any time.
I recently brought my 2006 CambioCorsa Spyder in for what I thought would be a major problem. I was immediately impressed by the service advisor, Mike Reiblich. We chatted for about ½ hour, and it was clear that he knows these cars inside and out. Also, it was a pleasure taking about cars with him, and he is an overall great guy. Just from my description of the problems, he was able to come up with several hypotheses that were very different from what I incorrectly thought was wrong.
The following day Mike informed me that the problem was quite simple – an interrupted circuit in the transmission due to a wire which had not been fastened correctly by an outside technician. Although the fix was easy, it took a good deal of time and sleuthing to locate the problem. The service charge was amazingly reasonable, especially compared to what I am used to paying a dealer for problems with a Japanese import which is supposed to be very reliable.
I want to add that this is my fifth Maserati. I have also owned a Ferrari and many Alfa’s, and I have never been so impressed with a dealership in terms of competence, fairness, honesty, and overall customer satisfaction. I love my Spyder and plan to keep it for a long time, but I am also considering purchasing a closed car for the winter, possibly a Ghibli, and I look forward to dealing with Maserati of Baltimore again.
