Krupp Center – Bernard Krupp

I had the best experience here! Katia and Christina was amazing. Dr Krupp was good aswell. He’s a surgeon and they usually aren’t too chatty… lol I would recommend this facility to everyone I know. I went in crying like a baby about having my wisdom teeth removed and they made me so comfortable. Very clean practice!

I was extremely impressed with Dr. Krupp and his coordinator, Diana Smith. I have a complicated dental situation, and I had seen two general dentists, an endodontist and a periodontist, and been told by the latter two that I needed root canals, crown lengthening and crowns. I was concerned that if these failed, and I needed implants, the crown lengthening procedure might compromise my ability to have implants. After doing and interpreting a (free) CT scan, Dr. Krupp explained that I probably didn’t need a root canal at all, and it was very unlikely that I needed crown lengthening but I did need a very good general dentist. Although I would have listened to him, he told me not to think about implants yet, because right now, I just need restoration. In other words, he didn’t push his services in any way, he just helped me understand what I needed, which was not him. He gave me two great recommendations for dentists, and sent me on my way. His coordinator was excellent with very strong communicative/​educational skills as well. This is the kind of medical practice I cannot praise highly enough. All the other professionals I saw told me I needed their services immediately (and the endodontist’s office in particular have called me several times trying to get me to schedule an appointment!) Dr. Krupp deserves all the accolades, as do his staff.

If you come here it’s likely to have unpleasant dental work done. I had to have a tooth extracted after a bad root canal followed by four failed root canal retreatments. Since I had four procedures done within two weeks of having it pulled, I was a mess. They instantly put me at ease by providing a stress ball and playing positive music. I found their bedside manner to be perfect and just what I needed. I will need future work done and this is where I will come.

So I’ve read some negative reviews on here and another site but I don’t really share any of those experiences. I went in there to get 4 wisdom teeth pulled and they did an amazing job. I don’t know if it was people getting other services done that had the problem but I read reviews saying Dr. Krupp was narcissistic and so on with negative results. They might have experienced something I didn’t but all worked out well on my end. And it was awesome getting teeth pulled out by someone who reminded me of Michael Douglas as Liberace! And he told me I looked like I could be a nanny vs a mom.

Great Oral Surgeon!
I am VERY picky about my doctors (ok, I’m picky about everything), and after calling around to several places, reading reviews on

, and even consulting with an alternative highly ranked oral surgeon (with a filthy outdated office), I decided on Dr. Krupp. I’m glad I did! I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed with minimal pain last April. On my initial call, the lady I spoke with was very helpful — definitely the most knowledgeable person I spoke with on the phone when comparing oral surgeons.
Pros
— Clean upscale comfortable office
— Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was very nervous but the staff was very comforting
— Laughing gas and Iv sedation puts you at ease and knocks you out
— I had no pain and only had to take 2 pain killers the entire recovery process (my cheeks did swell a lot which was uncomfortable but not painful). I took the first 2 doses as scheduled but my mouth never started hurting so I just stopped after that.
— After eating a chip too soon after the procedure, my mouth started bleeding and I was able to reach Dr. Krupp on his cell phone in the evening for instructions on how to stop the bleeding.
Cons
— They wouldn’t give me pain or antibiotic prescriptions before the surgery. I understand painkillers are abused, but because of this I had to go to the pharmacy after surgery which was stressful and inconvenient.
— Dr. Krupp comes off as a bit cocky (I asked about something my dentist told me and he said something to the effect of «Well, he’s a dentist and I’m an oral surgeon. Dentists don’t know as much as oral surgeons.» He also said there was a small chance of nerve damage «But, that’s not going to happen to you!» hmmm… so certain in your abilities?)
— I was charged a bit more than the original quote, not quite sure why but it was only $ 80 so I didn’t bother contesting it.
Overall my wisdom teeth extraction and recovery went smoothly and I definitely recommend Dr. Krupp!

I would give him no stars if I could. He was extremely rude to my daughter (the patient) and his staff! The absolute worst bedside manner I have ever witnessed… and I have been a nurse for over 40 years. My daughter was in tears (and not from the pain) when she left there. Her first comment to me – He is a d*ck!
The surg techs were extremely nice!!! I can’t imagine how he speaks to them when patients aren’t around.

My dentist told me that I needed to get all four wisdom teeth removed and referred me to several oral surgeons, but I actually found out about the Krupp Center through a friend that had recently had the same surgery.
The weeks leading up to my surgery, all my wonderful friends and coworkers told me their horror stories about getting their own wisdom teeth removed. Some had woken up in the middle of their surgery when the anesthesia wore off and others had infections after the surgery was over. Of course everyone told me about how puffy my face would be for DAYS and maybe even WEEKS after the surgery.
The day before my appointment, I received a call from their office to confirm and I was tempted to cancel. But I did not. The woman on the phone reminded me that I needed someone to drive me because I would not be able to drive home after the surgery. After I confirmed, I counted down the hours to my appointment and dreaded every minute of it.
The next morning, my mother and I walked into the Krupp Center and after filling out a few forms to sign my life away, I was called into the back. I said goodbye to my mother and off I went. I know dentist offices are supposed to be clean, but this one is extremely clean and all the utensils and tools sparkled. The surgical assistant, Tamara, was very sweet. She soothingly explained to me what would be done while hooking me up to all the machines and anesthetics. I knew I was in good hands. Shortly after, Dr. Krupp arrived and introduced himself. The next thing I remember is Tamara waking me up and handing me off to my mother and I was out the door.
I don’t remember much of the ride home, but I know my mom stopped by the pharmacy to pick up the antibiotics that doctor prescribed me. I followed the instructions for the medicine and also from the doctor: no solid foods for at least the first two days, place an ice pack on my cheeks to reduce swelling and take aspirin when needed to lessen the pain. I had the kind of stitches that dissolved on their own after a few days so I wouldn’t have to go back for a follow up appointment. My face was pretty swollen, but with all the ice packs and sleep, I was back to normal that night! TAKE THAT FRIENDS!
Two months later: my gums have completely healed and there were no infections. I highly recommend the Krupp Center for anyone that needs any kind of oral surgery. They are great at what they do and really take care of you.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed after being referred to this place by my dentist. Dr. Krupp was my dentist and was SUPER nice. I was knocked out for the whole thing and had no probs at all. They gave me my prescriptions early so I could get them filled before the procedure and wouldn’t have to stop on the way home. the place is really upscale and i would def go back if i had to.
