Dr. Kiely has performed thousands of hair transplant procedures since 1981, and he personally performs all of the procedures.
Today, many hair transplant clinics are operated by trained technicians or laymen who hire moonlighting physicians to perform surgery. Be extremely wary of these clinics. Ask to see medical credentials if they are not prominently displayed but do not rely only credentials to make your decision. As it turns out, a significant number of these specialists may only perform one or two procedures per month. Some organizations are off-shore owned and use names of physicians long retired. There is no Board Certification for Hair Transplantation recognized by The American Board of Medical Specialties so it is up to you to do your own research.
