«Hot donuts» enough said. Get there early before they sell all the good ones. Every one that I try is better than the previous.

The donuts tasted like grease. Not sure why. I was expecting a lot more. I have heard a lot of good things. They were okay. But the Amish market in Annapolis Maryland blows them out of the water. Wish they had been a little better, especially for 14 +$ a dozen.

This place is amazing I love their donuts and how they make them the very one of a kind donuts because it’s actually out of the oven every day not every donut shop is like this those really one of a kind

The doughnuts were fresh from the fryer! Fairly fast service. The doughnuts met expectations. Nothing to complain about at all. Only thing is the ambiance of the place, very little layout and direction. But overall, the Fractured Prune is a good place in my books!

It’s not even reasonable how good those doughnuts were. Fresh and hot and perfect doughnut goodness.
The menu can be overwhelming but the owner was really helpful in making suggestions as to local favorites.
When I got my doughnuts they were so fresh and hot that they were still practically steaming by the time I got back to my office. I tempted one of coworkers into having some of my Smores doughnut and I do t think she will forgive me until I bring a dozen into the office. I tried the Smores, Dulce De Leche, and Lemonade and I honestly can’t tell which is my favorite.
The next time I’m rebelling against my diet I will definitely make it a point to drop by.

Christ all mighty heaven in my mouth. Plenty of toppings to choose from and the donuts are fresh. This is my new addiction.

OK I’m not sure why this is not pointed out more in reviews but these donuts are made to order and ridiculously good ! My only suggestion is eat what they call a Plain Jane or go off of their menu suggestions with a simpler coating options as the real star is the donut. Also it is not like running into DD as they do make to order so it takes several minutes but worth it!

This place is awesome! I’ve been to plenty of doughnut places down in D.C./Arlington area, and must say that I love this place! I have not actually been to any place where they make the doughnuts fresh to order: starting from seeing the flour being poured into the bowl itself, to coming out of the fryer and then decorated. I still can’t identify these doughnuts as either «cake» doughnuts versus «fluffy» doughnuts since these are kind of in between. From what I could tell, they only made regular-​flavored dough, and then the toppings were the kicker. They had at least 15 different types of doughnuts you could request, each with a different name. By the time you get your box, you don’t even remember all the different ones you ordered and you eat them anyway and they’re all delicious regardless. Would totally recommend this place!

Decent donuts made fresh as you order. The toppings were all mixed together. Which means if you ordered a donut with glaze on it, it probably got sprinkles with it. Because they are made after you order, this takes time. Which is fine, except the the parking out front is by machine even on Saturday. $ 1.25 got me less than 40 minutes.
Also, if you eat in store, they do not offer plates or knifes, which would have been nice as my family was all trying the different ones we ordered.

I absolutely LOVE fractured prune donuts! We don’t have one near us so whenever I’m in Baltimore for a doctors appointment we come here! I like the carnival and the lemonade!(I’m allergic to lemons but it’s so good that I don’t care! I just load up on Benadryl!) very handicap accessible!

Tried for 1^st time today and OMG donut heaven!!! The price is amazingggg considering the donut is HUGE & FRESH!!! My fave was the dulce de leche! The older blonde woman at the counter was super sweet also. The location isn’t that pretty but who cares with food that good. They also offer lot’s of different types of beverages and breakfast sandwich on a bagel or donut. Can’t wait to try that next! Parking sucks

I think their doughnuts taste great. Previously, I tried a different local location, and I really didn’t care for the doughnuts one way or the other. However, coming here made me like them because mine were hot, fresh, and tasty.
I do admit they’re a little pricey; I wish they offered an option to purchase a half dozen. Right now it’s either spend almost $ 2 per doughnut or buy a full dozen for over $ 15.
Even though the workers are presumably college students, my experience with them was great and prompt, unlike some other reviews.

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time although he had been to a Fractured Prune before. We weren’t greeted and the college student who took our order was cold and was clearly going through the motions so she could get back to shmoozing with her stoner friend who stood at the counter beside us. When I asked if she could put 2 pumps of caramel in my coffee, her annoyed face told me this was a HUGE inconvenience. The $ 5 minimum is bullshit, but the doughnuts were great. Perhaps hiring a staff that cares more about customers and less about the Facebook post that her friend tagged her in last night would make me want to revisit this specific location… but probably not.

So I decided to try this location today since it is new to the area and a teenager was working there and I made my donut selection.
The donut is way over priced at $ 1.69. The teenager would not take my credit card for the purchase and suggested I get another donut and a drink to make the $ 5 minimum needed to make a purchase. So I walked out with nothing.
I can get better deals a block south at the dunkin donuts where they take my credit card.
It’s a donut shop learn to take credit cards and give better service especially if you are over priced for something with no nutritional value!

So, for the sake of transparency, I made my way back here because the owner reached out to me via Unilocal inviting me back for a complimentary dozen on her due to my less than stellar previous experience. With that being said, they seem to have worked out the kinks — the donuts were freshly made and consistently sized. I still think the blueberry glaze was not quite as yummy somehow, but maybe I’m just imagining things. Overall they were piping hot and just what you love about Fractured Prune.
I do have the say the kids working here are all super polite and cheerful. The crowds seem to come in waves and they take it all in stride, patiently explaining how to order and then finally waiting for each person to decide what they’re ordering. Kudos to the owner for finding great staff.
Anytime I need a little donut fix, I’ll certainly make my way back here.

My girlfriends and I went out for a Saturday night in Towson, and the best part of ladies night? Fractured Prune, hands down. All 3 of us, had been to Fractured Prune at the beach and love it. So we were so excited when we saw one had opened in Towson. After having a few drinks at a bar, we decided to get some warm, delicious donuts in our system. We got there around 8:20, and they closed at 9. Even though you could tell they were winding down for the night the employees were super nice, and got our fresh donuts out to us in just a few minutes. I had a Morning Buzz and a Cookies & Cream donut, and am currently drooling over just thinking about them. It is probably a very good thing that they are not any closer or I would be 30 pounds heavier.
If I make it up to Towson, I know I’ll be back. My only thought is that they might want to consider keeping it open past 9; in a college town where there are lots of people looking for late night munchies, Fractured Prune could clean up.

I read the other reviews after I went here.
But, they wouldn’t have prevented me from trying it out.
20 feet away from the entrance you can smell the fried doughy goodness wafting along the sidewalk.
I have never been to a fractured prune (I have heard about them being almost mythical).
So, when you go, you order the type of donut you want from a menu. They then make it for you and call you name when it is ready.
I got a key lime flavored one.
They put it in a cool looking box (which to echo some of the other folks) made the smaller than usual donut look minuscule.
All of that said, the donut was absolutely delicious!
I’ll be back again.

I couldn’t be more disappointed. I was so excited when I heard they were coming literally blocks away from me because I was obsessed with the one in Ocean City. But I went there today only to be extremely dissatisfied. My donuts are way smaller than I’m used to getting from Fractured Prune and the toppings are barely even on the donut. What I liked about the one in OC is they were passionate about what they were doing and took time to ensure a quality donut, this location not at all.
