Papa V’s. You walk into a small entrance area and are greeted with a waft of cooking pizza. After being directed through a small swinging door to the dining area you begin to realize just how rund down and dirty this place is. Some standard tacky Italian restaurant décor rounds out the look of dirty ceiling tiles, dust covered fans, and cracked paint. Part of the dining area is used to store pizza boxes and other service items. From this uninspired beginning springs the best pizza I’ve had in town. The salad was light on ingredients and accompanying spaghetti and meatballs average, but the slice of pepperoni pie I had with it was excellent. The service was friendly, if not the most attentive. If I’m back in Towanda looking for somewhere to sit down and eat, I’ll go to Vincent’s down the street. If I’m looking to grab a pizza to go, Papa V’s would certainly be my choice.

Papa V has great pizza. It’s a wonderfully tasty New York style thin crust. I tried what they call holiday pizza. It’s a white pie with spinach, broccoli, tomato, garlic, and ricotta. I wish I would have got more pizza but I really wanted a cheese steak. Although it looked really good, it didn’t taste as great. Less then average at best. The steak was a bit overlooked and a little tough. The roll wasn’t anything special, although it was fresh. The downfall is the dining room. Uncomfortable booths and old dirty décor in need of a good cleaning and updating. You can actually see fuzz on conduit runs along the walls and on the cords hanging from the ceiling that seems to be almost falling down that feed the lights. I guess to sum things up, if you want to dine in head to Vincent’s up the street for a better experience. If you’re looking for take out pizza this is your place.

Surprisingly decent pizza you would not expect there. The host is extremely cheerful and friendly. Sadly the place is a little run down and water drops from the ceiling. If we were in the area again, which will probably not be the case, we would be back!

Best pizza and cannoli in Bradford County! This is the closest you can get to NYC style pizza around here! I LOVE their food. The staff is friendly and quick. Other than the restaurant area being a little cold in the winter and the bathrooms could use some work.…this place would be perfect.
