Thanos Chris DDS

I have been going to see Dr Chris Dallis who’s practice is with Dr. Thanos for about 25 years. I have lived in other areas of the country and seen other dentists over this time. Dr. Dallis is by far the best dentist I’ve ever seen. I trust him. Currently I drive 125 miles each way for an appointment– that’s how good he is. I’d rather do that than try to find another dentist here in Bakersfield. Trust and knowing that you will receive quality dental work is incredibly important. His staff is top notch! Marsha at the front desk has been there as long as I have and she’s wonderful. His dental assistant Angel is professional and works to make the patients feel at ease. I would recommend Dr. Dallis for everyone, he and his office are the best!

While I’m certain he is a competent pediatric dentist, if you get referred by the Regional Center to Dr Thanos, I would not recommend it.
Supposedly he is good with special needs kids, but really he’s no better than any other pediatric dentist. He doesn’t take dental hmo so you may end up paying cash. He was unable to successfully examine our son, and still charged us $ 225 for 5 unsuccessful minutes. Our kid wasn’t fighting, wasn’t crying, just didn’t want to open his mouth. We tried this with Dr Thanos twice over a year before we finally came to our senses.
His office is clean, nice, tv’s above each exam chair. He has a very calm and pleasant demeanor and his office staff are nice. If you have dental ppo, it would be a great place to go. But if you are going because of your special needs child, I do not believe it is worth the money.
