History

Established in 1969.

Our office has been serving the South Bay for 44 years. We are established and have built a reputation on honest, high-​quality dentistry and unparalleled customer service.

We are conveniently located in the beautiful Skypark One Medical Plaza on the corner of Hawthorne Blvd. and Skypark Drive in the second floor of the Prudential Building just next to The Olive Garden.

We are a Comprehensive, Esthetic & Implant Dental Center meaning, we will care for your dental needs what ever they may be. We provide preventive care such as digital X-​rays and cleanings with one of our experienced dental hygienist with a combined 80 years of practice. We offer cosmetic procedures from whitening and veneers to Invisalign, for whom we are a Preferred Provider. For those who have missing teeth or are unhappy with the fit of their dentures, we were one of the first to offer dental implants in the South Bay area.

Dr. Sydon (pronounced «sigh-​Din) Arroyo is a Comprehensive and Esthetic Dentist highly skilled in cosmetic and surgical procedures including veneers, implants, Invisalign, wisdom teeth and root canals. Dr. Arroyo is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry where he was awarded honors in prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. He completed an advanced post-​doctoral residency in comprehensive and implant dentistry at the University of Florida & Shands Medical Center.

Dr. Arroyo grew up in Burbank, CA but now resides in the South Bay. He takes pride in thoroughly educating patients about their oral health and the gentle, conservative treatment of dental pathology. He strives to create the perfect smile that functions in precise harmony with biological function. Dr. Arroyo is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the West LA Dental Society.

10÷31÷15 My husband and I owe mighty thanks to Dr. Sydon Arroyo, DDS for his fantastic medical care. His meticulous skill and adroit dexterity in manipulating mouthfuls of tools in a tiny awkward area to fix a serious problem is very obvious and enormously appreciated. We have the utmost confidence in him. We also enjoy his love for his profession coupled with his happy yet calm Zenlike approach, topped with common sense and oodles of human kindness. Of particular note is Dr. Arroyo’s method of constantly apprising the patient of his findings and updating the patient ahead of time as to what new noise or different tool to imminently expect, –so there are no surprises. For me, I found this a huge stress reducer. We extend heartfelt thanks to him and Evelyn and each of his warm competent staff. My husband and I share our sincere gratitude and affection for this stellar gem named Dr. Arroyo –as do each of our happy respective teeth.
One cannot separate the person from the profession. Dr. Arroyo’s personal devotion to nature and the environment evidences itself in his perfectionism and goodness in treating nature’s humans. He is a real find!

You will like Dr. Arroyo from the first visit. He is very cheerful, helpful, gentle and professional dentist. Don’t hesitate to contact him. I recommend him for your dental problems. He likes his job and always check with his patient if everything is going ok. I had one cleaning teeth and one filling appointments with him and so far were excellent.

From the moment I walked in the door of Dr. Arroyo the staff was attentive and I was treated courteously. I was called in exactly on time for my scheduled appointment. Once in the Dentist chair, I was made comfortable and was soothed by the nice music and great view of the trees outside the window.
Dr. Arroyo is very methodical, calm and thorough. He explains everything precisely and really makes me feel part of the decissioning. He is excellent in his trade and very approachable. He takes photos of your teeth so he can refer to them over the years. He is awesome! Can’t ask for a better Dentist or experience!

Dr. Arroyo and all his staff are top notch! Dr Arroyo gives the most comprehensive, thorough exam I have ever had. He explains his findings and recommendations to you in detail and you never feel rushed pressured to make any decisions. I made my appointment with him based on the recommendations I read on Unilocal and I can say I am totally satisfied. I will be going to him for all my future checkups, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Dr. Arroyo is the man! I HATE going to the Dentist. I really cannot tell you why but I dread the sound of the drill, the shots in your gums… ALL OF IT! But, from the first minute I started talking to Dr. Arroyo he put me at ease. His thorough explanation of what he is going to do, the patience he has while answering your questions (Even during the procedure) and the quality of his work are great! The office is in a nice building but the best part of it is everything in the office is top notch. Myself and my wife both go there and I reccomend him to anyone looking for a dentist. Dr. Sydon Arroyo is a great dentist. I started going to him about a year ago when I moved to Redondo Beach. He takes care of me and my husband and we both have had a great experience. I am currently doing invisalign with him and my teeth look great. I get so many compliments. Definitely visit him if you are looking for a dentist.

I recently completed Invisalign with Dr. Arroyo and was extremely pleased with the results. He is very thorough and does a great job explaining the entire process in detail so there are no surprises. My teeth look incredible and I owe every bit of it to him and his expertise. Scheduling office visits was a piece of cake and he always had me in/​out of the office within a very reasonable amount of time.

Dr Arroyo is great. They don’t take only cash (as the other reviewer claimed), I paid with a credit card and then sent the bill to my dental insurance company. Great guy though, did a crown for me and came out well.

I go to this dental office because of Rounsavelle and his many years of experience in dentistry. Now, he is replaced by someone who has much less experience. It does not seem right to pay the same amount of money for a new dentist with less years in dentistry. They accept cash only, and they charge much higher than what the insurance would normally pay.

Dr Sydon Arroyo is very detailed and patient dentist. I commute from North Hollywood to Redondo Beach just so I can get the best quality work with my teeth from Dr Sydon Arroyo. Fantastic dentist! When I came in to get a root canal, Dr. Arroyo put me at ease by thoroughly explaining the procedure and by listening to my concerns. You can tell he really takes pride in his work and is meticulous with every step of the procedure. Extra kudos to his dental assistant Yemaina for calming my nerves and doing a great job assisting during the root canal! The icing on the cake to this office? The front desk staff. They take the time to listen to your needs and even give you a personalized phone call (not just some recorded memo) to remind you of your appointment the day before. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Arroyo to my closest friends and family. Just might be the best dentist ever!

I would highly recommend this office to all my family and friends. First off the building is in a very serene setting with a view of the pond and ducks. The office staff are very friendly and accommodating. The interior is very clean and modern. I am currently one of Dr Arroyo’s patients being seen for Invisalign treatments. He is always up to date on all the cutting edge technology in his industry. I feel confident in his decisions for my treatments because he is very thorough and pays attention to detail. He also does a great job of explaining everything to me so I feel involved in the process. I already see a major difference in my teeth. I am very pleased with the treatments I have received thus far and have always had a good experience in the office. Book an appointment with him if you’re looking for a great dentist in the South Bay!

I’ve always been somewhat of a nomad when it came to dentists. I found many serviceable ones, but never one whom I knew I would be comfortable going to permanently. I think I finally found that dentist with Dr. Arroyo.
Bottom line: he is good at what he does, makes you feel comfortable and does not make you wait or treat you like one of a thousand patients. He honestly cares about your health and isn’t just trying to make you go through the most expensive procedure. If you are looking for a dentist I highly recommend visiting Dr. Arroyo.
Only con I can think of is that the office is a bit hard to find, so make sure you go a bit early the first time you visit.

Dr. Arroyo is great! I am currently seeing him for my Invisalign as well as annual teeth cleanings. He has been wonderful, taking me step by step through the Invisalign process and is very knowledgeable. His staff and office space is wonderful as well.
I had already had braces about 15 years ago, but since then I stopped wearing my retainer and my teeth had shifted a little. Dr. Arroyo gave me a comprehensive analysis and showed me exactly which teeth were going to be shifted should I proceed with the invisalign process. Feeling confident with his knowledge and explanation, I decided to give the Invisalign a go. So far it has been a great experience, and much easier than the process that braces entails. I have already referred a few friends over, and would definitely suggest him to anybody looking to change dentists or are interested Invisalign!

I initially visited Dr. Arroyo for Invisalign and teeth whitening. My friends have notice the before and after difference since then. I now continue to visit Dr. Arroyo for my regular follow-​up knowing he pays close attention to detail, very professional, and has a genuine caring nature that is second to none. As an added bonus, the office is the nicest dental practice I’ve been too with views of the pond from your room, personal TV monitor and Wi-​Fi for the patients. But what truly matters to me in a dentist is top quality work and professionalism, and Dr. Arroyo exceeds my expectations.

Looking for a dentist who is awesome and caring and who actually loves his job? You’ve found him. Dr. Arroyo has been my dentist for a couple years now and now that I’ve met him, I’d never go anywhere else — I actually drove from OC to SFV (his old office) to see him a few times, yes he is THAT good! He always makes you feel comfortable with what he’s doing and explains to you exactly what’s going on as it’s happening. He’s very gentle and made my fillings look like they don’t exist (with all the grooves and divots in the right spot). When I had questions, I just called the office and his staff made sure to pass along my message and even got a personal phone call from him! I know most people are afraid to go to the dentist, but don’t be. Dr. Arroyo will make you smile and have your smile looking beautiful too!
