These are still the most caring professionals I have ever encountered in the medical industry. I have some funky affordable care act (Obamacare) insurance and not only do they honor it here, they have helped me navigate the whole bureaucratic mess. My results from all of the grueling physical therapy is still working and I am just about pain free. The staff here are all so pleasant to deal with and I am a perpetually late person and either they are used to it or they are beyond tolerant.

Dr. Weitzman is amazing! He is like no other Dr. I have ever had. He is caring, friendly and really talks to you during your visit. He helps you understand and really educates you in pain and what the «plan» and steps will be to a better and happier lifestyle.
I have had chronic pain for years and Dr. Weitzman gave me a comprehensive plan to get on the right track of being happy again. I am 2 months in and I can sleep through the night and move around with my kids and not be so irritable in pain.
Great bed side manner and an overall good guy!

I came to Dr. Weitzman out of referral from my neurosurgeon’s suggestion. I’ve been in back pain for about 3 years (off and on) after being ran over by a car. My surgery did help a lot but I have terrible muscle spasams. He does operate out of the same center where I had my back surgery a little over 1.5 years ago. First of all the ability to work with my insurance is greatly appreciated. I felt like the turn around time was better than any other clinic I’ve been to– and the break down about my bill was very upfront (less than expected and very well explained).
After my initial assessment I was suggested Faucet treatments. It hurt me a little more than I anticipated which is not too bad. I explained this to Dr. Weitzman and he was quick to change the method and I had no pain. I think this shows his ability to really understand pain. Some doctors just don’t. After my second treatment just a week later I was out of pain by use of an epidural injection. Dr. Weitzman explained to me that I’ll need to start physical therapy immediately to help the pain before the injection wore off. He shares my vision for a pain free life and has been very encouraging.
Now I’m still under the façade of an epidural injection and I do believe that I am able to become pain free over time. I think most problems can be solved with back pain with perseverance. I’ve chosen to do my physical therapy at South Bay Pain Docs as well. I get attached to my doctors and having him be able over see my progress will most likely mean I’ll have a more successful recovery. One of the problems I think I’m having is that the physical therapy I received post Surgery from another clinic just wasn’t the real deal. South Bay seems much more dedicated to my recovery than the last clinic I went to.

This review is FAR overdue. I have been a patient of Dr. Weitzman for several years for various issues (neck, back, elbow, etc.). I have had chronic pain due to many factors (snowboarding, running, sleeping wrong, you name it). Most recently I had severe elbow pain that kept me from using my computer (no injury) and more importantly kept me from sleeping and lifting anything with my arm. After traditional tests showed there was nothing «really» wrong, Dr. W suggested an MUA (manipulation under anesthesia) — basically worked out my extremely tight muscles while I was asleep (read: it hurts to dig deep into muscles when you are awake). It has been about 4 months and I am completely pain free. I can rattle off a bunch of other procedures that Dr. W has done on other painful parts of my body that have helped me get back to my normal life, but that would take far too long and remind too much of how old I am getting. I highly recommend that whatever your issue is (assuming you are in physical pain), that you see Dr. W. If nothing else, he is honest and if for whatever reason he doesn’t think he can help you, he will tell you.
PS — I should also mention that I work in the healthcare industry (20+ years) and have worked with and seen a lot of physicians, Dr. W is truly one of my all time favorites — he is kind, honest, knowledgable and effective. You really can’t ask for more in a pain doctor.

Dr. Weitzman is the first doctor to get to the root of my back pain. He explains things very thoroughly so I have a full understanding. Very kind and patient!!! He also has a nice staff. He is the BEST pain doc in Los Angeles!!! So happy I found him!!!

My husband has been seeing them for about 6 months now and we are so grateful to have such wonderful people to help us. They actually care about the patients. They sit down and review your insurance with you and take the time to make sure they truly understand the issue at hand. We very much appreciate everything they have done for us! Thanks!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Weitzman since moving here about 9 months ago and am a fan! I have chronic back and neck pain and he’s performed epidurals and an rfa that have made a remarkable difference in my quality of life. I’ve dealt with chronic pain for years so he isn’t my first pain management doctor but he IS the best I’ve seen. He is cautious with pain meds, doesn’t over-​prescribe but doesn’t let me suffer either.
The office staff is great and the medical team’s easy going energy has a calming effect when I’ve had procedures.
Lastly, I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment the same week and never waited more than 15 minutes, usually 10.

The most important qualities I look for in a doctor are compassion, highly qualified in their practice, and aggressive with fixing the problem while conservative with being invasive. Dr. Weitzman certainly fits the bill. Besides being a genuinely caring doctor, he works hard to help his patients. One year ago, he took multiple approaches at fixing my significant leg pain through multiple therapies while minimizing the need for invasive practices. After helping me eliminate my leg pain, I am now back in his office for a tear in my shoulder. It is terrible to have to go back to the doctor, but at least I can go to one that really cares and will help me fix the problem.

I can’t give this place any kind of positive review because after calling and being transferred around to three different women and being put on hold for five minutes, I was told they would not see me unless I had an attorney. I specifically called this place because of a review that said after their accident the doctors here had them feeling better.
I will add that they would gladly see me on my own insurance. Which defeats the purpose of not being out of pocket for accident I did not cause.

Amazing staff and doctors! They really know how to make a lady feel special The front desk girls are very helpful and understanding. Dr Kim is such a charming man! He truly cares about your pain.

What more could a girl ask for than an office full of smart, attractive young men?! Not to mention the amazingly talented massage therapists.
Dr. Zaker and Dr. Kim really know what they’re doing. If you’re looking for a place where they actually take the time to treat you, LISTEN to you and give you the best plan of care then this is the place for you! I appreciate the care and knowledge these doctors have and share with their patients. Its a plus that they offer personal training as a part of your treatment plan which is covered by my insurance! Couldn’t get better!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Brian Mañas for a couple of months now for my headaches and pain in my mid back. I can’t say enough of how amazing Dr. Mañas is! He is very committed to making sure I’m comfortable at all times and is very thorough in explaining his treatments. I always leave the office walking on clouds. Like the other reviewer said, he is compassionate and intelligent. He really cares about his patients and he’s a great adjuster. I highly recommend him to anyone in South Bay looking for natural pain relief.

I have so much to say I do not know where to begin. I was referred to Dr. Weitzman for my carpal tunnel. I was in a lot of pain almost all of the time and my thumb, first, and middle fingers were almost always tingling and numb.
When I went for my appointment, I was greeted by very friendly and caring staff. I am so sorry I do not know all of your names! I was assisted into the examination room and was asked a few questions and then Dr. Weitzman came to evaluate my left hand/​wrist/​arm.
He is friendly, intelligent, and compassionate. We talked about options to start me on the road to recovery. I chose to receive medication to relieve the pain. Dr. Weitzman administered the medication while continually evaluating if I was ‘doing okay’ and helping me keep my hand steady.
After the medication, I went to therapy with Dr. Brian. He is also very compassionate and intelligent and funny. He talked to me about the therapy he was going to do and also checked on me during the therapy to make sure I was not in any discomfort. He explained everything and made me feel very comfortable with the therapy I was going through. Now, 2 weeks later, I have NO pain in my left hand/​arm most of the time. Dr. Brian is still working on the tight muscles in my forearm and the little bit of pain I have now and then.
I am also seeing Roman for my sciatic issues. The pain is really bad at times. Roman is, as everyone else, very compassionate and intelligent. He talked to me and we started on stretches after a warm-​up. I became overheated and felt ill. He brought me water and continued to ask if I was feeling better. He stayed with me even when I went to the restroom. I felt so bad because I was just overly warm, but he assured me I did not need to worry and everything was okay. Feeling better, we continued. He asked several times if I was still okay and helped me when I was feeling overly warm again.
Some of this might seem like the smallest things to the reader, but all of them are huge to me. I drive from Encino to doctors in Torrance because of the compassion and care I receive from them and their amazing staff!
I briefly spoke to Dr. Nick. He greeted me with a huge smile and a lot of warmth.
I feel like I am and will be in ‘good hands’ at South Bay Pain Docs. I recommend them to anyone who has any type of pain. They are among the most amazing people I have had the pleasure to meet!

This place has it all… A one stop shop and Im now doing excellent after recovering from a car accident thanks to these wonderful doctors… Thank you all.
