Good food, very clean and the woman who does nails did a great job. Very friendly staff– but I’m taking off one star because a few of their fitness machines didn’t work at all.

I’ve visited other Korean spas but none compare to the services offered here. I chose the body scrub and shiatsu style massage combo.
You get over being naked in front of other guys pretty quick but it is a bit of a shock at first. A lot of older gentlemen just relaxing and soothing their aching muscles. The mandatory shower and jacuzzi soak before the scrub get your skin ready for the intensive session pool side. You will be completely nude while they perform the scrub but it’s in a semi private area. The scrub down is thorough and time consuming but well worth it. Up, down, front, back, side and feet are all attended too. The constant warm water doused on you is refreshing. But be warned, it’s a rough scrub which feels like coarse loofah. Kinda of like getting a full body tattoo. You will never be as clean as you will after this scrub, period.
A quick shower and off to the massage. Every inch is worked on by strong hands and I must admit I winced a few times. It relieved a lot of joint and muscle aches.
The facilities are clean and well stocked. I like the little shoe lockers when you enter the locker room. Try this place for some much deserved «ME» time.

PROS: Great amenities and services. Affordable. Clean.
CONS: People are allowed to wear bathing suits! This is a Korean spa, so if you are self-​conscious and think that people will stare at you, then you’re full of yourself. The fabric taints the water and I dislike that. The water in the LA Korean spas feel cleaner. I don’t care about your ugly ass, and stop trying to talk to me. I didn’t come here to make friends. People don’t know how to be quiet. They should talk at the lunch area or outside. People should be QUIET in the hot tubs, rest areas, rooms, and saunas!!! People should know how to conduct themselves. And people should NOT wear shoes! I just washed my feet and am walking around barefoot. I don’t need to step in your dirty tracks that you brought in from the streets.
Despite the cons, I like the scrub and the amenities offered at this place. I just wish people followed the rules. When in a Korean spa, follow the Korean spa rules! Don’t Christianize it. I don’t see Muslims here, and maybe because they stay away due to the nudity factor. They leave it be. They don’t try to change it to suit them. The management at Riviera Spa should have a backbone and uphold the rules.

Body aches, detox, or muscle soreness from the gym… cycle between the cold pool and jacuzzi! Body will feel like noodles afterwards. I like to end it off with the steam room to sweat out any toxins in my body.
I know a lot of people feel awkward being naked in front of other people but everyone else is naked too so what’s the big deal? Lol

Love the facilities and the variety of services. The scrub treatment leaves your skin glowing and smooth. They treat your face and hair too! The different kinds of saunas are also very cool! They have a Jade Room for hormonal balance, a Salt room for your skin, a regular sauna, steam room and a cold room to cool down.
Downside: the scrub and massage combo is not very relaxing during the actual treatments. You’re in an open room with other people and the masseuse all talk to each other. Mina is good for the scrub but NOT the massage. Go with someone else if you’re getting the combo. Go with Cindy if you can.

My first korean spa experience = two thumbs up! Being naked in front of other ladies is not a problem for me since I’ve been to public bath in Japan many times.
+Had no idea that there’s a Korean spa located in smack dab in heart of Torrance! This facility has decent amount of parking.
+Pay one time admission fee of $ 25 and you can be at the facility using their saunas/​eating/​lounging/​bathing all day long until closing. Once you pay your fee, the front desk ladies will give you a couple towels, pajama like lounging clothes, and a bracelet that has both your locker key and a barcode scanner that keeps track of your purchases so you can pay for the food & drinks later.
+First thing first, you go to the locker room and put your belongings in the locker, get naked, and go to the public bath to clean yourself up before dunking in the public bath.
+The public bath area is nice since you can opt for regular shower or the Asian shower where you sit on a small stool and use the shower head. They provide you shampoo/​conditioner/​shower gel/​new toothbrush/​toothpaste so you don’t need to bring any unless you can’t use generic kinds for whatever reason. For bath, there’s one warm bath, one hot bath, and one super cold bath to cool yourself off when you get too warm from saunas or the hot baths. The public bath area also offers steam sauna and regular dry sauna as well.
+Once you’re clean and good to go, you go upstairs to the common lounge room, which is where you lounge, buy drinks or food, or lounge in the sauna room. I’m sure nobody wants to carry their wallets around while enjoying the sauna and you most likely left in the locker room downstairs, you use the barcode scanner on your bracelet to charge any food or drinks that you ordered. I thought this was so cool and convenient!
+Don’t worry if you don’t want to pay for water and if you’re getting dehydrated, they have few cold or hot water stations in the facility so you can keep yourself hydrated throughout the stay.
+As for their saunas, they have few sauna rooms (salt room and two regular heated room). I really liked the salt room the most. When you lay your whole body over the heated salt, your body gradually gets super warm and you can feel your body sweating out all the toxins. I felt the other two rooms were less intense but still good nonetheless.
+Once you’re done with saunas, go back downstairs and take a bath one more time. Then you can get ready to go out because they provide hair dryers, q-​tips, lotions, and other necessities for girls when we’re getting ready.
+On a side note, they have mani/​pedi section down stairs for a fee if you’re interested.
–Beware, on busy days (day before NYE), the facility was pretty popular and I literally had to fight for parking. I’m passive so I let it slide but some middle aged fierce lady totally drove quickly and stole my parking space I had my eyes on –_​_​_​–

this is a great place to
relax, get clean and unwind. The hours are great and there are a lot of staff to cater to your needs. I like the scrub and massage the best. I have tried all
of the different spa rooms and the warmer ones do clear my sinuses.

The spa, sauna, changing area, restaurant… very clean!

I come here every Sunday to reset after a long work week. This spa is one of the best I’ve been to in Los Angeles. People here are always pleasant and welcoming which contributes to the peaceful experience. Did I also mention it’s only $ 25?!

Review from the perspective of a Korean chick whose been going to Korean spas for almost her whole life because her mom and grandma loves these places
When I was an elementary school kid, I hated coming to these places. I felt so weird walking around naked in front of a bunch of naked old ladies. I also thought the water was always too hot and the body scrub was too painful (and this was just a regular body scrub from my mom, not the ahjummas in the black bra/​panties). As an adult, I love coming to Korean Spas. I try to go with with my mom every few months because I always come out feeling squeaky clean and relaxed and it’s a nice way to spend a couple of hours with my mom.
The facilities: Riviera Health Spa is super clean and pretty spacious, The jim jil bang area is on the second floor. It’s coed and you have to wear these ugly fobby clothes (that are super unflattering and ugly) but every room/​floor is really clean. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t crowded at all. There was ample parking and sometimes I was the only person in the steam room. Prices for entry and services are the same here as they are for almost all the other Korean Spas. $ 30 for a scrub. $ 80 for a scrub and a massage. I didn’t have to pay the entry fee because my mom buys entry tickets to every Korean spa in bulk. (I have no idea where she gets them from… she just has them out of her wallet).
One weird quirk: I have been to over ten different Korean spas but this was the first place that I have seen allows women to wear bathing suits. I have seen women wearing bathing suits at Burke Williams and at a few fancy hotel spas but I have NEVER seen them at a Korean spa. Most of the customers here were naked, with the exception of a small group of women who appeared related (they resembled each other). What’s ironic is that when you are in a place where everyone is naked no one is looking at anyone except for the handful of clothed people.
The services: My body scrub was by a lady named «Han» (according to her tip envelope)…she looks frail, but she has incredibly upper body strength. Though she scrubbed me too rough for my liking, I thought she was fast and hardworking… Unfortunately, the shampoo portion at the end of my body scrub was really painful and uncomfortable. She grabbed the based of my head/​neck to pull me up higher without any warning. Not only did this hurt but it surprised the hell out of me because the entire time she had directed me (in Korean) which position to assume… I have no idea why she didn’t just tell me to move up higher in Korean. Then the actual scalp massage shampooing part was rough. I could feel her nails but honestly I was too shocked by the neck pulling that had happened moments earlier that I didn’t think to ask her to be more gentle. The worst part of the shampooing??? You’d think it was her aggressive or the neck pulling right? Nope, it was actually the five times she hit my head with the shower head when she was rinsing off the shampoo and conditioner. I don’t know if she wasn’t paying attention or if she was in a hurry or what but honestly I have never been hit in the head so many times before.
I do want to come here again, but I would definitely ask for someone else. If I somehow end up with Han again, I would ask her to give me some warning before she grabs my neck and pulls me up. I would aslo ask her to skip the shampooing part altogether. My scalp is still recovering from her claws, I mean her hands.

I’m very shy. My bravest stepping out of the shell moment was probably singing karaōke in front of a whole bunch of strangers on a cruise ship. I love singing and it took a lot of courage to get up there. I don’t step too much out of my comfort zone… if you see my buying keroppi stuff versus hello kitty, that’s about out of comfort zone as I’ll get… that was until Riviera Health Spa came along. For my 800^th Unilocal review, I share with you my ultimate stepping out of my comfort zone moment!
I first heard of Riviera Health Spa from my co-​workers. We often do a ladies lunch once a month and they suggested a girls day at this Korean spa. I was all for it till I heard how Korean spas work. You have to be completely naked. As much as I love my coworkers and hanging out with them, I wasn’t so sure about this nakedness spa stuff and I skipped out then.
A couple months later, with my mom’s birthday and me feeling the need for a good massage, I thought of Riviera Health Spa. I was still hesistant about the nakedness but I wanted to treat my mom to a spa day and I was curious about this place.
I booked an appointment for my mom and myself for Friday afternoon. Morning was all booked but when we came in the afternoon it wasn’t too crowded. I got us both the body scrub and massage combo. They give you a locker key up front along with a t-​shirt and shorts for the 2^nd floor facilities. If going into the spa and sauna, you do have to be naked. You basically undress in the locker room before going into the spa and sauna area. They do have a sign though that folks can wear bathing suits if they’re uncomfortable. I didn’t see anyone do this though. Every one was naked. Honestly as hesistant as I was, the naked part turned out to be no big deal. It is a traditional Korean spa and everyone is naked and no one cares! No one is going to stare at you and it really is no big deal. I promise that I was probably the biggest scaredy kitty ever with this before but it really is normal.
Once you undress, it is time to enter the spa area. The spa area has the jacuzzi/​pools. They are all 3.5 feet deep, one cold, one warm and one hot. Before entering the pools, you are asked to take a shower. You then soak yourself in the pool till one of the ladies will call you for the body scrub. I liked the warm jacuzzi the best. The cold pool was a little too cold for me but soaking in the warm jacuzzi was comfortable.
They called my mom and me right on the dot of my appointment. The full body scrub is first. At first I was worried that the body scrub would hurt. They do a good scrub and it actually it didn’t hurt at all. Cindy did my body scrub and she did a very thorough job. Like other Unilocalers have mentioned, they get every part of your body and your body comes out so clean, bright and oh so soft! I loved it!
After the scrub, you’re asked to take another shower and then it’s time for the massage! The massage is a little bit on the rough side but it felt so good and relazing. They apply milk and lotion all over. There’s also a cucumber facial and shampooing of hair included. Ahh it is such a nice stress reliever. It is simply the best experience!
My mom and I also checked out the second floor of the facility after our scrub and massage. The second floor is where all the saunas are. They have a salt sauna, clay sauna, jade sauna along with a fitness room, computer rooom and ice room there. It is also on the second floor where there restuarant and smoothie bar is.
I tried a small Korean shaved ice at the smoothie bar for $ 8. It is a pretty big bowl consisting of shaved iced topped with red bean, kiwi, strawberries, banana and mochi. It’s a good patbingsu and a nice sweet treat for our spa day though it is pricey. Also the folks working the restaurant are super strict. I sat in an area that I wasn’t supposed to (I didn’t know) and the girl scolded me and gave me a mean look. Similarly once I finished eating, I placed the shaved ice bowl in the area where they said to put dirty silverware, plates and the guy working there gave me a little talking to about how this is only for lunch items. I will most likely skip the restaurant and smoothie bar next time.
All in all though, I really loved my experience at Riviera Health Spa. It was one of the best bonding moments with my mom ever. I loved our spa day. It was so relaxing and nice. I loved my baby soft skin after. I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried this place out.

A friend of mine gave me a gift certificate for a scrub and massage. I was a little hesitant when I found out that it’s a full body scrub… they scrub almost everything! I don’t think of myself as a prude and I try to keep an open mind and try new things, but this made me think for a bit before I decided to to it. I am glad I did!
The spa is super clean and the scrub ladies (not sure if they have a proper name) called me right on time for my appointment. The scrub was amazing… but also gross me out a bit because I shed like a freakin reptile. It was falling off of me. The massage was great too and I loved all the warm water they pour on you. A little advice. These scrub ladies mean business! They don’t hesitate to flop you around like a fish they are preparing for their meal. Be careful that you don’t slide off the table. Cost is $ 80 which is reasonable for what they provide during your session. I ate dinner there as well. Delicious food!

Had one too many beers the night before so I wanted to sweat it out. $ 20 fee just to use first floor which is separated by sex. This includes locker room and spas — both hot and cold available, as well as showers. $ 25 gets you this + upstairs sauna, massage, gym, and restaurant services.
You get your own private locker, sauna clothes to change into (shirt & capris) as well as your own body towel. Smaller face towels are available inside the locker room. I was impressed at how clean the locker room was.
They include scales, a TV room with individual leather recliners, organized sinks, and drinking water. Outside the locker room are the spas and showers where you go butt naked.
To get upstairs you take an elevator connected to the locker room. Once upstairs, the saunas are spread around a large square room and easily identifiable. Each sauna room is different as they have salt, clay, and jade. Each one has a thermometer denoting the temperature as well. They also have a cold room which was set at 68 degrees.
The salt room was probably my favorite because of the scent and comfort. The clay room was a bit disappointing as they had mats laid out and not the clay pieces you can emerge yourself in like I had seen in pictures before.
At more that one time I did question how clean the saunas were. Pretty much people come and go and sweat through their shirts and capris. After laying down, there are sure to be sweat remnants so I didn’t feel 100% comfortable knowing I was laying down in someone else’s sweat.
The gym was nothing special. Had like 6 treadmills and that was it.
Overall I had a good experience. I think I’ll be back.

1.5 years as a veteran to this place, it’s only fair to update:
THE BODY SCRUB
calling it the body scrub hardly does this service justice. Aka (dirt, grime) and suri (rub) literally means to RID OF your layer of dead skin, EVERYWHERE. Think pedi callous removal except EVERY inch of your body. In a few short mins I was literally in a pool of my own «aka», good thing they kept rinsing it off.
THE MASSAGE
After rinsing off, now the massage. It’s like a drill Sargent calling out each one of my misbehaving muscles, roughing them up a little, then they shut for for weeks on end.
THE PAMPERING
With your live skin enjoying daylight, and muscles behaving, now comes the cucumber facial. Finished up with more massage and finally, the milk rinse!
THE CONCLUSION
No longer shall I spend money for those aromatherapy massages, $ 80 gets me a new bod!!!

I’m so happy I don’t have to drive to Korea town to get the same services! I got the acupressure massage and it was very relaxing. Afterwards I went to all the sauna rooms to just lay and relax in.
The services are good, the facility is clean, and the parking is easy. I will definitely be back!

If you’ve never been to a Korean spa, it’s a must-​try experience!
Entry fee is $ 25, but you can print out a $ 5 off coupon from their website. If you choose to do any of their spa services like a body scrub (ddaemiri), then your entry fee cuts down to $ 20 so there’s no need for that coupon.
The spa itself was pretty clean and a lot less crowded than Wi Spa in Koreatown. I’d definitely rather come here although it’s a little smaller. They have pretty much the same amenities like gender separate saunas & steam rooms where everyone walks around naked, and a co-​ed jjimjilbang floor upstairs where you wear the t-​shirt and shorts they give you. They have various heated rooms for you to lie and relax in like clay room, jade room, salt room, and the refreshingly cold ice room.
I definitely recommend the full body scrub (ddaemiri) which is $ 30. You can make an appointment for it when you first sign in at the front. It may sound pretty intimidating to lie naked on a table while a stranger exfoliates and scrubs every crevice on your body. But when you see all the dead skin cells flying off and you feel your super soft skin afterwards, you will realize it’s totally worth the mild discomfort!
The food here isn’t great but it’s not bad either. My friend and I tried their soondubu (tofu stew) and rappokki (spicy ramen noodles and rice cakes). Both were A-​OK. My favorite thing was the mixed fruits juice. It was more like a strawberry smoothie and it tasted so good! We were looking forward to having some post-​sauna shaved ice (patbingsu) but the kitchen closed at 9:30 and we were too late. :(Oh well. next time!

Clean as a whistle!
Mind you I never experienced a Korean spa but I desperately needed an exfoliation after a month long vacation where I pilled on sunscreen, bathed under a glorious sun, and swam in the clearest ocean. Jealous? Haha but really I wanted and felt like I needed to be cleaned, even my hair.
When I entered the front person was friendly and asked if I was a first timer. Usually I lie and say no but I didn’t want to mess this up and look like noobie. So she had a lady guide me along.
Have you seen the video clip of Conan O’Brien and Steven yuen? That is the best visual of what happens. You are butt nekked in the spa facility. 3 different tubs — hot, warm, cold. Soak and they scrub you, scrub you good. Seriously I felt so clean after!
There are different spa rooms. The clay (cocoa puffs per Conan) room but dude those bloody clay balls were pretty hot directly touching my skin. I ran to the cold room since the clay hurt my feet a little. There is also a jade room which I didn’t get to goscrubbed there is a large relaxation area before entering those different rooms.
They also have food on the second level where those different rooms are. Ohhh this area is the clothed part and co ed. Lollll don’t be like my friend and almost went there in her bday suit.
I def would go again especially when I want to be cleaned and feel like a baby’s bottom.

Love the korean spa… the first time was an incredibly different experience then spas like glen ivy or Burke williams. The men and women have separate rooms on the first floor. The women’s area includes a very hot sauna, steam room, hot pool, warm pool and cold pool as well as showers. They offer toothbrushes, tooth paste, shampoo conditioner and body wash in that area. Behind the hot pool is an area where they do the massages and scrubs. This is an experience. They lay you on a bed that looks like a hospital bed and is covered in plastic and proceed to scrub u for 30 minutes w little mitts… it’s great baby soft skin after and they put on a fresh and cooling mask. The massage is a little rough for me but still felt relatively good.
I love the jimijang or coed area. There are four rooms, cold, jade, clay and salt… so nice. There’s a heated floor in the middle of the jimijang and stones to walk on for acupressure. Also they have the juice and korean shaved ice bar – a must try topped with fruit, cereal, Ice cream, red bean and lots of other goodies and the hot food area with japanese and American style seating. I always get the beef tofu yum. You can get free refills on the side dishes.

Shower Area– it was nice to have them shampoos, a conditioner and a soap ready and they smell really good. And also my hair feels great.
Jacuzzi– it wasn’t that big but very bubbly. Me and my girls were just talking very quietly so that we won’t disturb the others.
Oh SNAP! Here comes the best part. THE SCRUB AND THE MASSAGE! It was just the best! Look for Ms. Han! She’s great! She took care of me. From head to toe! After I took a shower, again, my skin felt great! It was the best thing on earth!
They also have the HAIR DRYING AREA– ofcors they have all the tools we needed. But then we always bring our own hair brush. Please bring your own. Lol. They have a hair dryer, lotion, face moisturizer, a toner, q-​tips, pile of new and unused face towels. They also have a couch for you to rest. And a weighing scale. The locker room or area is very neat and clean.
The spa place is very clean! Very very nice!
We always order the same food BIBIMBAP! Yumm yumm!
They also have smoothies and other tons of choices for your hungry tummy :)
Salt Area is one of my fave.
The Mini GYM facility is very neat also.
JUST PLEASE TRY THIS PLACE. I promise you, you won’t get disappointed.

I finally got enough guts to let go of all my preconceived notions and got myself here at the Riviera Health Spa.
**MY FIRST KOREAN SPA EXPERIENCE EVER and I LOVE it!!!**
I love it so much that I came here twice in the past week.
My first visit I got the Riviera Special Package (Swedish/​Acupressure Massage) 90 mins for $ 100. OMG the masseuse Jina was fantastic… she hit all the right areas on my back and neck I was literally melting.
My favorite was the scrub down for $ 30. I have never been scrubbed ever like the way I was scrubbed. I felt like a baby. I LOVED getting my hair washed at the end and their soap smelled amazing! I did the same scrub on my second visit.
Yes everyone is naked in the women’s locker. But no one cares really and I got over it within a second my towel came off. There are several jacuzzis with 3 different temperatures, a sauna and a steam room.
Upstairs in the co-​ed areas, the Salt and the Clay rooms both at 135 degrees fahrenheit were excellent. Yes it was super hot but I managed to stay about 5 – 10 mins in each. The Jade room was slightly cooler at 125 degrees. My skin was amazing after popping in and out from those rooms.
The Korean restaurant (also located upstairs) serves up some delicious authentic Korean food. They charge it to your locker key number which you’ll pay at the lobby when you leave.
The facility was clean for the most part. The service was good with both visits. Some of the staff does not speak English very well but I got by just fine.
The day rate is $ 25 and they waive $ 5 if you buy any of their spa treatments.
I will definitely be hitting this place on a regular basis.
