Redac Gateway Hotel

The room is nice and front desk lady was nice but i was kinda upset that i didn’t get any breakfast because we didn’t booked from them instead we booked at third party (
.) It says it on there site and the
site, you get a free breakfast in the morning between 6:00am — 9:00am. I went there at 8:00 am and ask me my room number, i gave them my number and they said «we can’t give you breakfast because you didn’t booked from us». Even though I stayed there?
Whatever.

There is a lot of travel sites claiming this s a 3.5 Star hotel, this is not. I’ve seen much better 2.5 star hotels than this! The room was a joke one tiny desk and chair and a fairly uncomfortable bed with a headboard thats all you get, it’s not modern décor, its just cheap. Even smaller bathrooms, i dont even think they have a pool. I ended up walking out not even staying it was that bad. There are certain luxuries expected from 3,4,5 star hotels, pools gyms, on site bars and great dinning is expected when all of this is void and you walk into a room a terrible as I did, an overwhelming sense of disappointment is the only thing this hotel delivers. Value is terrible for these reasons, should be about 60 – 80 a night they try and book you for about double, Just stay somewhere else either spend more, or spend less your going to get better bang for you buck anywhere else. Oh the rooms also do not match most of the photos the only one that comes close is the empty photo with a bed!

I had a travel trip for work, they booked this one for me through a third party site. I checked in, the young man at the desk was polite, he had a nifty little mouse pad set up rigged up that my co-​worker commented on. We got our keys and headed to the room to prepare for the next day of work. On the way up I noticed some construction going on in the lobby, and the elevator had a «temporary permit» sticker inside of it. My co-​worker and I both commented on the «JDM» vibe around the hotel. The room was neat when I arrived, window open. I dropped my bags and hit the restroom. «Whoa, look at this toilet!» I yelled to my co-​worker. Far different from what you find in a typical American restroom, the toilet had a seat warmer, and bidet. Later that night I put my earplugs in and search for deep sleep.
The following morning we woke up to, co-​worker showered first. When he came out he said, «Good luck in there…» I turned on the water, waited 10 minutes, «Hmmm not hot, let me turn the nob the other way…» A couple minutes later, «dang, still not hot…» I ended up hollering for 5 minutes in the shower under cold water at the top of the morning. Yeah, it woke me up, but was not pleasant, or what I wanted.
The place wasn’t bad, hopefully when the construction is done, the hot water will be working again and the place will be nice and finished.

No warning they were doing construction. Which meant No resturant. No patio. No sauna.
I stayed 1 night and the maid interrupted me in the morning TWICE before checkout time… pathetic.
No tv guide in the room, or anywhere.
Also, no DVD player available to watch Redbox.

ROOM looked nothing like the photos online. Not even close. Completely outdated and dirty. I booked the SUITE with a jacuzzi tub and the room was disgusting. The room had a stale smell to it, similar to cigarettes. The suite was right next to the busy highway and was noisy when opening the window for fresh air. The Ac smelt awful as well. Unless they have a deal for the suite, don’t book it unless it’s like $ 40. Other then that your wasting money on this place. Horrible. 1star

I stayed here this weekend as they are remodeling my house.
The management staff have got to be the worlds biggest cheapskates! I asked for a late checkout and they offered an 1130. Most hotels will offer an hour not half an hour. And even with the late checkout, my key wouldn’t work (after 11) to go back into my room to get an item I had forgotten. I explained to the front staff that I could not re enter my room. And that that’s why I asked for late checkout, that’s why they asked for my room number so the keys can stay activated.
All they said was, «it’s ok.»
It’s ok? Um no it’s not! I don’t think the lady spoke English so it was frustrating. Ok don’t understand my English but at least understand my tone and body language that it’s NOT OK. I need to get into my room. I forgot some shit in there! I ending up getting so frustrated with her I told her to keep the fucken items I forgot.
She still said, «it’s ok.»

Most annoying note experience of my life. I will never go back and I will not refer anyone to stay at this backwards hotel with an incompetent and greedy staff.

I stayed here bc it was close to Harbor-​UCLA medical center which I was a little worried about due to location but what a gem it was. The staff were attentive, detail oriented and it was obvious that they strived to make it the best experience you could hope for. The place is clean, modern/​updated and tastefully done. They recommended me to use their shuttle service to the hospital allowing me to get to my interview on time where half of the other applicants were late trying to find parking. I highly recommend this place and would happily stay there many more times when needed.

Got a great deal online for a room at this nice hotel would recommend to anyone rooms are nice and clean

Do not stay at this hotel!
The service is horrible. They take $ 100 deposit in case their guest breaks property. If you are lucky you will not be charged, and they don’t let you know when you check out.
In addition, breakfast is the worst. I could not eat anything. The bananas were brown and old. It’s just disgusting.
They have no shuttle service.
The staff is OK but they don’t make up for the low level of the hotel itself.

First I check in I’m very tired long drive with four kids. They give me my room go upstairs with all my stuff. The room is dirty has not been clean. Then I go all the way down stairs tell them they gave me a dirty room. They don’t even apologize. Give me an other room so there we go again with all the kids to the and they give me a one bed. So there we go again and I tell him. I need a two bed how am I going to fit in one bed with four kids. So they give me a two bed rooms. The rooms are ok I ask for a crib. No cribs what the hell never again for this price I can stay at a Raddison with breakfast included. They only have one crib.

this hotel is great. we stayed here as an invitation from our friends ON SUNDAY NIGHT. we had a couples slumber party. the beds and bathroom were great comfortable and clean. the toilets clean your butt and va-​jay-​jay too. and there soap is a thicker and it looks like a leaft, than your old regular hotel square immediate vanishing crap. the staff at the front desk very calm and respectful. they have breakfast buffet listed on the guest directory but we woke up late and missed that. for brunch they have japanese curry cuisine, burger japanense style and other item i can’t remember. over all my experience was great and i would definetly come back.

BOOKING NIGHTMARE!!!
I had a friend visiting from out of town and helped booked this location through a third party after seeing some positive reviews of it on that website. I was told within the hour that plans have changed and this will not be convenient anymore. And thus begins the worst experience I’ve had with any hotels/​motels.
I was told by the third party that the hotel has a 12 hr cancellation policy (which was not reflected on the website) only after I tried to cancel. I was directed to talk to the hotel itself to resolve this and spoke with a lady with almost zero English speaking skills. She informed me, after several exhausting attempts to explain the situation to her, that there is no manager on duty and sent me to a voicemail of someone who is not even a manager of the property (I found this out way later). I waited the entire day for a reply from them which of course never happened.
Resigned, I went out of my way to the motel only to find out that a) Mr Gomez is not the person I should have tried to talk to. b) the manager could be reached but they are dismissive and unconcerned. c) It’s my own fault and I have to deal with it.
After much arguing and complaining with the front desk clerk, I was told to come back during regular business days and he would discuss it with me then. In the meantime, they will still charge me for the day despite the fact that I tried to cancel within the hr and never checked in.
I found out that mine is not an isolated incident and that there’s been issues regarding this ridiculously rigid policy before. The whole incident spanned several hrs and has soured the whole experience for me. I would suggest to think twice before committing to this place.
I would have given no stars if only it was possible.

Located on Western Ave. between Carson St. and 190^th. This hotel is catered towards the Japanese, but of course anyone can stay there. There were numerous signs in Japanese around the lobby, they had a Japanese soap opera on tv in the lobby and the check in attendant was Japanese as well. The 2 employees that worked the front desk were friendly even though they were busy on the phone and checking in other guests.

and compared pictures on Unilocal.We thought the price was too good to be true for such a nice room, but it’s legit! This has been one of nicest rooms I’ve stayed in for a while. Super modern décor, clean and up to date technology for everything. Flat screen TV, the microwave and coffee maker looked brand new and the toilet even had a seat warmer. Fancy!!! What really got me was the small details. There was Wolfgang Puck coffee and the toiletries in the bathroom were some sort of herbal concoction. Extra fancy!!! My only gripe was that there was no ice machine and we had to have an employee bring ice to our room. Not a big deal except he only brought us a small bucket. They pride themselves on customer service so I see where they are coming from.
Overall, we had a great experience here and I would definitely book a room again.

I highly recommend this place, why? Because their bedding were cozy, their room had really nice Decoration, very simple and clean. Their bathroom has a special toilet that I really liked. The second floor is currently being renovated. I’m sure when they finish it’ll look outstanding. For the price they gave us, we are definitely coming back.

So happy here! Stayed two nights and I was so glad I chose this hotel. Looks like they’re renovating it and am glad bcuz it’s so affordable and so nice looking. The bed was so plush & comfy & the service was great! I’ll definitely be back

The hotel was under remodelation. But no dust. The room very clean very confortable great bathroom the toilet is an experience. Front desk very friendly. I will be back for sure to this hotel.

So I booked this hotel pretty much last minute for Valentine’s Day just because all the other hotels were all booked. At first I didn’t expect much from this hotel since it was my last resort but this hotel was actually nice. It’s not a fancy hotel but it’s pretty decent and clean for a reasonable price. The lady at the front desk was very nice and greeted us when we walked in. This is a good hotel if you’re looking into staying for a night or two.

Had a wonderful stay at the redac hotel! Front desk was always nice and helpful! Would stay again for future trips to SoCal.

Room is smelly, but they changed it for me. But still the AC is not working well, it’s kind if hot at night. And there is no water one day. they noticed, but the notice has no date on it. It only stated «today», so when we saw it at night, we thought it’s today. So the other day…

When you first walk in it is cool and fresh.
Very clean lobby. The carpets are clean and the floors are shinning.
The rooms are the same. A very clean Hoyle to stay at.
