Dr. Dugel is brilliant, talented and gifted. OMG, I went from blind to 20 – 20 in a painless 20 minute outpatient procedure. You want a guy who is good, does this surgery all the time, cares for his patients, and loves what he does.
His staff is weak, but who cares, when you are getting The Best.

The staff could be better. Dr Raj Dugel is pleasant. He was highly recommended & with good reason. He will tell you his rates upfront. No hidden fees. Everything is explained thoroughly. Very accurate in his diagnosis. I would recommend him to everyone in need of an excellent eye doctor.
The staff? Mediocre. a shame really for such a skilled doctor.

I’m really not sure why I had to wait an hour and 15 minutes to see the doctor. Add to that the time I had to wait for my eyes to be dilated for an annual exam, and my visit ended up taking more than 2 hours while there was only one other person in the waiting area. The clinic staff don’t seem to want to be there, nor are they helpful. Despite the fact that Dr. Dugal is an excellent doctor, the overall experience of waiting there takes away from that merit.

I accompanied my daughter for a first visit to Dr. Dugel. Although her appointment was the following week, the staff fit her in early due to the discomfort she was experiencing. Dr. Dugel is a bit abrupt but we found him to be extremely knowledgeable, especially compared to other opthalmologists we have seen. We will definitely continue seeing him.

I have been going to Dr. Dugel for over 15 years and I can honestly say he saved my eye sight. I was diagnosed with glaucoma when I was 45 years old, which is sometimes too late, and Dr. Dugel provided me with a systematic series of treatments which over the years became more complicated, but Dr. Dugel, a superb surgeon, never lost his commitment to save my eye sight. I have had many physicians in my 85 years and I found Dr. Dugel to be not only extremely competent but also personally interested in my state of mind and well being. I found his office staff to be courteous and accommodating. I would like to say to other reviewers who are concerned that they sometimes have to wait a little beyond their appointment time, it is only because Dr. Dugel is taking extra time on another patient which I would think would be appreciated since the same would apply to you. During a critical period after an operation, Dr. Dugel even gave me his cell phone no. in case of emergency. A caring physician.

A bit surprised by the other 2 reviews, but I respect their experiences. Mine was actually very pleasant. A bit annoyed by the ½ hr wait at 9.00 am (you would think I was the first one). But both staff and doc was very pleasant and efficient.

Although Dr. Dugal is highly rated by other doctors I know, I was not impressed by the service and the office was backed up so the wait was longer than I thought feasible. I won’t go there again.

Dr. Dugel and his staff are unprofessional and heartless. Do yourself a favor and google him so you get an idea of how terrible he is. I wish I would have done my research.
