This place has the worst customer service ever.
The young white kid was the most disrespectful little prick in the world, with his sarcastic remarks,
Never coming here to bowl ever again

Took my kids bowling on the last day of Christmas break. The place was very dirty, and the equipment is very old. This place needs a major face lift. The prices for bowling are very inexpensive. But I guess you get what you pay for. I will definitely not recommend this bowling alley.

So when the staff is THIS serious about their job… OVER IT!!!

Great bowling lanes to get out and have fun! Went with coworkers to have a group party and Jim and his team took care of us. Had easy access to food and bar and prices were great and overall a good time. It might not be state of the art but has old school feel and genuine customer service. They are people who care and we were thankful for the service!

First of all ask for your receipt! Only if their ask for the receipt they will give it to you. I use my receipt here as a guide to the line and game I’ll be playing. Now back to the review! We bowl here in two different occasions both time we had similar experience. The first time was on a Saturday afternoon place was pack of families thats just summer time for you. That Saturday the cashier (guy) at the register knew nothing about keeping it together when rushes step in the door, First he charged us all we ask but did not ask if we needed socks. Second he forgot to give us info on the bowling line or receipt that would give us that info. Third we where told to step on the other side for our bowling shoes but took us 15min to get them off the shelves. Even if the experience was just standard, the over all pros are the 20 bowling lines, server on the weekend and cleanness of the bowling alley. Also the prices are not to shabby!

Best dark bar in town. Even better when Valerie is your bar tender. Stiff, inexpensive drinks. The kitchen rocks too. Cheesey, jalapeño fries are ridiculously fantastic. I don’t bowl, so I can’t comment on that. But the bar, when Valerie is working, is nothing short of perfection.

Bad unprofessional customer service at its finest! And when management came to deal with an issue we were having, we received the same rude customer service.
We spent $ 350 that night because we had a large group and next time, will not even think twice but go to AMF Torrance instead a few miles down the road. Don’t waste your time, bad customer service comes down from management itself.

Shame on Palos Verdes Bowl for their pathetic customer service and environmental practices. We signed up for a coupon and brought the electronic version which they refused to accept. We live in a world where technology has afforded us the opportunity to treat the environment kinder and it is irresponsible for Palos Verdes Bowl to not do their part. The manager treated us as though we were scamming them for not bringing in a paper copy and would not allow us to print from their computers. Terrible customer service. Thankfully there are many options.

Took family for bowling. 2 adults, 3 kids. Spent about 2hrs, played 2 rounds and had drinks for about 80 bucks total. Not crowded. Friendly staff. Would recommend for family night out!

Took advantage of the 2 free games for Summer since my youngest son is visiting Cali for the Summer. I was able to bowl in daughters spot when we went. The gentleman that helped us was friendly. I was expecting to bowl so I didn’t bring or wear socks but was given a free pair that could fit toddlers fit lol better than nothing right. We used lane 4 which was the party area with all the other kids that where there. Definitely come back for more free games this Summer since all my kids are out of school.

Older bowling alley, but has varieties of food selections. Family oriented. Friendly service and not noisy and crowded for a Tuesday night after 8 pm.

My experience was characterized by poor customer service. I have been going to this bowling alley for years. Even joined a league for awhile. The customer service has just been going down hill. On this early Saturday evening the gentlemen behind the front desk did now look happy and acted distracted. No enthusiasm or conversation skill just to start with. We asked for 2 games and the total came out pretty high and I had to ask why. He added too many shoes because he didn’t even ask how many we needed. That was followed by us reminding him to give us the shoes! We were the only customers at the front desk so I’m not sure why he wasn’t focused.
The left side of the alley had sporadic lanes taken with breathing room in between. The right side was fully congested with a few parties packed in with each other and the middle of the bowling alley was left open for leagues coming in later. My group was placed on lane 37, the last available lane on the right side in between the congested parties. When we went over to sit down there wasn’t even space for the people already there. They had children barely able to walk going up and bowling.
There just wasn’t any space for my group on a safety or comfort level. When we asked the same guy at the front desk for another spot he just said «No». When we explained there wasn’t any room he offered no accomodation and would not help at all. Didn’t offer a smile or time frame or assistance of any kind like he was just ready to go back to playing candy crush on his phone. With that kind of service we asked for a refund. I should have checked what the amount was because I found out that they shorted me $ 10!!!

I must say that they lost me as a customer and it’s not worth going back with this service when their bowling alley is dirty and poorly managed…

This is a different type of place than Lucky Strike Bowling. If you just want to bowl and have a good time without all of the bells and whistles this is a fun place to go. It is also a lot cheaper. As soon as you walk in the door you know what you are getting because it is a typical bowling alley experience. We have a good time here and it is low-​key.

I came on a Sunday afternoon when families were bowling. Was given lane 37 I believe, which broke down twice during our game and took a while to get going; the couple we came with finished 8 frames ahead of us and we considered just leaving with them. We were not offered any kind of discount, free game or lane switch to make up for it.
Also, the place was a bit old and dingy, but since it’s a bowling alley, I didn’t have high expectations to begin with.

I bowled here with my son and a friend and her daughter. When we arrived, there were two men behind the counter and no one in front of me. I waited for one man to get off the phone and then when I told him what I needed, he sent me to the other guy for help. All I needed was a lane and some shoes. If he can’t do this, I am unsure why he is at the front counter???
The shoes were clean and not horribly used. The place there that serves food was extremely slow. We ordered a couple items with no one in front of us and asked it be delivered to our lane, but it didn’t show up. We had to go back and follow up and get the food ourselves. I can’t comment on the food quality as I didn’t eat, but my friend seemed content. They also have drinking water for self serve near the food, but the water bottle was empty.
Overall the place was fun and clean enough but could use some updating and deep cleaning. They also keep lighter balls for kids behind the front desk.

I like this place because they are friendly with special needs population. They sponsor organizations as Blessings of the Heart. They serve food and there’s also a bar — very discreet.
Always busy. Family friendly and a great hangout for young adults.

Great place to get away and forget your problems for a couple of hours. Bar on site for those who like to enjoy a libation or two, (uh… yeah), arcade games for the kiddies and great deals after 8:00 pm on Wednesdays. Maybe a tad rundown but I ain’t hatin’…

I’m giving this place 4 stars because I always bowl well here. Don’t know if it’s the oil pattern on the lanes or something else, but it just feels right. I bowled 3 games last time in and averaged a 198, while my usual average is 160, so this is my new spot.
I love the retro-​ness of this alley. Feels like somewhere The Dude would bowl. From the exterior to the interior, it feels like stepping into the 60s.
Games are typically $ 5 each with shoes being $ 4 — luckily I have my own. They do $ 20 unlimited specials for 3 hours late night Fridays and Saturdays which I used to love as an 18 year old.
It doesn’t feel as ghetto as some of the other alleys around (Bowl O Drome, Gable house) despite its oldness. And with 40 lanes, it’s never full. You will usually always have an open lane next to you while bowling.
The one thing I never liked about this place are the metal bowling ball caddies, or whatever they are called. Where your ball comes out in between rolls. They remind me of the old urinal troughs at Dodger Stadium before it was renovated. I always feel like my bowling balls are getting jacked up in these unforgiving steel carousels. But hey, as long as they lanes allow me to get strikes, that’s the most important thing.
I have my own balls but for those who don’t, I would say the selection is pretty scarce. They don’t have a ton of options for each weight like an AMF, nor are they organized at all. You’ll probably spend 20 minutes hunting for a ball.
But in the end, if you like retro, throwback establishments, PV Bowl is right up your alley. (Forgive me for that one)

Fairly dive-​y spot, but has a certain charm to it. Looks like it was built in the 60’s and not changed.
The beer is pretty cheap, the lanes seemed good (I just observed while drinking — didn’t actually play).
There’s a bar /​dance floor when you first walk in. The dance floor was empty when I arrived but was full of white people over 40 GETTING DOWN as I left.
