Moti Buchboot

We had Moti Buchboot Electric re-​do all of the electrical in our house, much of which was original from the 1950’s. He brought everything up to code and replaced our electrical panel. We are extremely happy with his work. Every outlet, light switch and light fixture was carefully placed in the precise spot. Moti was excellent at working us into his schedule (we were having other work done as well), always showed up when he said he would, was available by phone and was so good at helping us decide placement of new lights (recessed can lights, closets, bathrooms, etc.).

He pays attention to detail and has an eye for a good aesthetic result. I also like that he itemizes his quotes and his prices are competitive.

Moti was the only electrician that actually showed up after going down the list calling and making appointment with. He was very accommodating to stop by the house after I got off work. He knew what he was doing when he showed up and worked diligently to correct the wiring issue I had. Everything was fixed promptly and he even offered to install the new light fixture I bought. He did not charge me extra for going over the hour slightly. I would recommend him to anyone needing electrical work done at the house.

Moti came out to install some ceiling fans, a new bathroom light and troubleshoot some wiring. Had some trouble getting our schedules to line up, but he did a great job. He kept everything clean, didn’t make unnecessary holes, everything is installed where we want it, and he did it all for a very reasonable price (had another quote from an electrician that was substantially higher).
Would happily call him again for any more electrical issues we may have.

Moti was great. Arrived and finished the job on a weekend afternoon. Was attempting a DIY 4-​way switch installation that didn’t turn out. He spent a fraction of the time I spent on it to make it work. Even walked me through it. 5-​star satisfaction, strongly recommended!

Moti is fantastic. His work is impeccable, reasonably priced and he’s a reliable, honest guy.
We have used him several times for our electrical needs, and will continue to use his services. Our house is a fixer-​upper and he’s been able to handle all of the work we’ve thrown his way. We have worked with other electricians in the past, but their service was not at the level of Moti’s. Highly recommend.

Called Moti on the Friday before the long weekend, not really expecting him to get back to me. But he did, and offered some helpful suggestions that I could do myself to see if I really needed him. Called him late in the afternoon, and despite being past his normal business hours, he came by to take a look. That alone, warrants 5 stars, but his superior professionalism and knowledge of what needed to be done warrants more than the scale allows for. Checked all the breakers, and replaced the worn ones. He could have charged me double what he did, on a Friday afternoon before a long weekend. But he didn’t. I work with contractors all the time, in every profession, and Moti is one of the best I’ve ever worked with. Efficient, professional, courteous, and more than fair. I look forward to working with him again on all future electrician work.

Moti is very professional and extremely pleasant and his prices are reasonable. I normally hate dealing with contractors but he is truly a nice guy who seems smart and sophisticated.

It was like watching Michelangelo at work as he maneuvers with circuits and tools to fix your problem. He knows what he is doing and he does it right.
I had a failed DIY attempt at installing a wall light that ruined the circuits in my home and the lights in half my house wouldn’t turn on. For a week I was living in half darkness, every electrician I called wanted to charge me large sums of money before even taking a look. I finally found Moti on Unilocal and I was first very surprised that he even took the time to ask me questions so he can understand the context of the problem and even had me try some trouble shooting on my end to save me the expense.
Finally, when none of that worked, he came to my house at 6:30 am, his daily hours start at 8:00am FYI, but he made the extra effort to come two hours early because it was the only time I was available before work to fix my problem. Within minutes my lights were on, my light fixture was properly installed and I couldn’t be happier with the turn out. He surpassed my expectations.
I will literally recommend him to every single person I come in contact with that even mentions an electrical problem, and have even given him as a contact to my real estate agent (since I just bought this home in September) to give to any clients buying homes with electrical problems.
I have further work to do with my house, installing outside light fixtures and a bathroom remodel project, he will undoubtedly be my electrical guy.

We just moved to the South Bay (Torrance, Palos Verdes) area, and we needed someone to install recessed lights, change out all the light switches and outlets with new ones that are to code, run computer network cables throughout the house and install totally new bathroom fans. Moti was able to recommend the bathroom fans, lighting and was very accommodating. We had to remove popcorn ceiling and paint the all the ceilings and he worked around their schedules, so we were able to move-​in on time. He was also very affordable at the same time. We liked him so much we recommended him to our other family members.

Thank you Moti for speedy response to replacing a noisy bathroom fans with a super quiet ones. I liked that he was able to make the new ones fit perfectly in place without the need to patch or paint.
The best part of doing business with you was that I could leave you along in my house and all job was done perfectly when I came back from work. The palace was clean as nobody work there.
