I specialize in positive reinforcement training. From basic obedience to tricks, even special needs dogs (hearing impaired, physical disabilities) and dogs for therapy work. My training program provides a unique experience for the pet parent and their dog. Training is fun and effective.

History

Established in 2013.

Manners Please was created by Stacie Lemieux in 2013. I decided there wasn’t enough options out there for pet parents. Most training programs follow cookie cutter training plans. After working in that environment, I realized I could do so much more! So I created Manners Please to provide more customized training options for my clients having lessons in the environments where challenges were taking place.

I have always wanted to provide therapy preparation training for dogs. I have trained two dogs that went on to work in Canine Assisted Therapy. This has given me an opportunity to give back to to community.

I have always had a special connection with animals since I was a child. I have had the privilege to have several types of pets though out the years, from parakeets, turtles, tadpoles/​frogs, dogs, cats, hamsters and rabbits, to mice, rats and even pot bellied pigs! I have always thought having a pet brought happiness and peacefulness to ones’ life. My family was a Puppy Raising Family for Guide Dogs Of America during my high school and college years. That was when the seed was planted. I knew then I wanted to have a career with animals. After working in the «rat race» for 15 years, I decided to go into business for myself and I have never looked back.
