Lucky Dawg Mobile Grooming

My first time using this service and I was very pleased. Our groomer explained everything to us. He made us feel comfortable and our husky took to him right away. I highly recommend them!!!

We are so thrilled with Lucky Dawg Mobile Grooming, just had to give them a shout out. We have two big German Shepherds. Our elderly boy, Ber, is 112 lbs and has lost so much mobility in his hind legs we can no longer get him in the car to go to the local groomers for a bath. We started calling around for local mobile groomers and found that people were either not taking new clients or only wanted to take small dogs. From the moment I spoke with Alison of Lucky Dog, I felt at ease. She was so friendly and understood we were concerned about finding the right person to be caring and gentle with our babes. She got us an appointment almost right away– the day after Thanksgiving — and today Earl showed up early and ready to go. He met our dogs and wasn’t fazed by either Ber’s size and wobbly legs or Coco’s long, shaggy coat. He hoisted both of them into the bath in his van all by himself. He bathed them, treated their fur, and then blow-​dried them. You should have seen the fur! A super positive experience for both dogs. Although they were a little concerned at first about going into the van, they were in and out in no time and both looked beautiful when they were finished. It never occurred to us before Ber’s legs went to try mobile groomers, but this is the best way to go. No more having the dogs at the groomers all day waiting in cages for their turn getting anxious and upset. Lucky Dawg Mobile Groomers has some new fans and clients.

Just used Lucky Dawg mobile service for the 1^st time and I must say it was very convenient and they did a great job. Carlos the groomer was very professional and did a fantastic job with my dog. I’ve never used a mobile grooming service before but it was definitely beneficial from a time savings standpoint and also less stress on my dog.
I will definitely be using them again.

Great Experience.
This was the umpteenth time for us, but first time for our cat. Appointment was easy to make. Rachel called in advance to see if we were available an hour earlier then planned, due to a cancellation; we were, and everything worked out fine.
Our cat is pretty mellow, but was even more mellow after having some matted fur buzzed. The lion cut looks great to us, and must feel great to him.
Some reviewers have commented about the van not having a generator; jeez, can you imagine how that sound would spook an animal? I’d vote for a quiet electrical outlet any time.

Very good first-​time experience. I was referred to Lucky Dawg Mobile Grooming by the owner of our dog walking service. We have two shetland sheepdogs (shelties) and both of them have developed severe allergies. Our Vet Dermatologist has prescribed a weekly bath with a medicated shampoo. We booked at appt by phone with Allison. Their mobile groomer showed up on time, and did a great job on both dogs.
I rate them as reliable, competent, and we will use them again.

Absolutely wonderful! Both mobile and at the shop itself. These guys take their time, but know what they are doing. After a couple of bad experiences with a couple of groomers in Southbay, I finally found a place where they trim your dog appropriately and in accordance to their breed. Just overall fantastic!

OK I like to be fair. I drop my dog made a app day before over the phone price I got $ 75 for shaving inc bath nail etc. I got there groomer Told me better for my dog to get brush out other than shaving her because she is Italian massif has short hair. than they told me former shampoo will be $ 10 extra ooooo well I got no choice right I said OK. that makes total $ 85,groomer was so help full that’s for sure. I agreed .they keep my dog extra hours for me no extra charge which it was nice not to rush. we pick her up she look same .When groomer told me they going to use former shampoo will help her shading less but not going to
so far her hair its coming up still but not like before, so she was right. I like to work they have done. but I find other PLC for $ 55 for same job my friend told me little late. I called and told them before I pick my dog the only thing is lady the over the phone told me everybody has different price. underatandbel .but me smart ass… I should say her respond put? In mind call few different pls for price match they said they do price match and speacialy if u never been there they wanna earn my business .I have big dog that means its a bit price. Well next time I will give a try to other PLC see the work is different or
far my dog look fine.

The groomer came right on time and had done a great job grooming my yorkie.

Best groomers around! My dogs and cat love Mike. He does a great job with all of them. I have all purebred animals that look weird unless cut a certain way, and he does such a great job. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I get my animals groomed every three weeks and they could not look better. I recommend this place to everyone!

Today was our first time using a non-​family groomer for our eight year old chocolate lab, Emma. Unlike the round up needed to get her in the shower she calmly got in the van, where Carlos lifted her up and cut her nails. Our usually vicious attack dog — NOT — never stopping the wag of her tale. In short order, she pranced into the house, ears cleaned, teeth brushed, glands emptied (yuck), coat shiny, and quite happy. We will definitely do this again and ask for kind — and tri-​lingual — Carlos.

I had a great experience with Lucky Dawg Mobile grooming for giving my cat a lion cut for the summer. They were friendly and did a great job. I will definitely recommend them to others.

Hi Mike. First I want to say how surprised I was yesterday to receive your letter of apology and a refund check. Thank you very much. It makes me feel good that my first impression of how I felt when I first spoke with Allison weren’t wrong. I always had a good feeling when speaking with her. I felt the same way when you came to my house to look at my puppy’s. I know you we’re not happy with what your groomer had done to my dogs, but I felt you did want to make it right. I was very disappointed with follow up. Reading your letter you sent me, helped me to understand what happened.
I do believe when someone is trying to make something right, they deserve a second chance. Your letter of apology and refund shows me you want to make it right. Thank you.

They have a shop on Crenshaw near the Ralph’s. It has do it yourself stalls. It is a little pricey ($ 20) but they give you as many towels as you need and its your own enclosed space (in case your dog doesn’t like being around others).
Everyone was super nice.

I have been using Lucky Dawg Mobile Pet Grooming for about 3 years now, ever since my dog was a little puppy. They are not only gentle but the owner loves when customers give feedback on the groomers. Anytime a groomer has been switched with your pet she makes sure to give you a call and let you know before hand to make sure you are aware and okay with the fact. Then she will also give you a call after your pet has been groomed (usually the day of or the day after) to ask you if you liked your new groomer and if there was any problems, concerns, etc. I have had only wonderful experiences with Lucky Dawg and i recommend them to all the pet owners i know! Make an appointment with them, I know 100% you will be satisfied and as happy and I have been!

Very disappointed with these people. I sent them an email through their website. She called me back and made an appointment for Wednesday then emailed me a confirmation for Thursday. I immediately responded that we had verbally made the appointment for wednesday. No response.
I get an email Wednesday morning at 7:30 am telling me they have an «opening» at 8am if I would like it.
Problem is, I did not check emails until 9:30…
Bottom line… Bad experience.

After going through many local groomers I found this one. On time, not rushed, and very attentive to our needs. Many thx!

Fantastic job on Cubby, my 10 year old pom. Dri, the groomer, arrived at my house on time and was very friendly to me and to Cubby. She worked on Cubby for 1 hour and did a fantastic job. Check out the pic. I will be using Dri again!

Today was my first experience with Lucky Dawg and I’m very happy with the results; especially after having another mobile groomer no-​show on me this week. My first good impression was with Alison on the phone. She was very friendly and obviously very compassionate towards animals. She spent a lot of time talking with me about my cat’s needs and did not rush the conversation at all.
Mike the groomer was also very nice and made the effort to bond right away with my kitty. He also spent a lot of time talking with me about options for flea treatments. I felt terrible for not addressing my cat’s flea problem sooner. I recently moved here from a colder climate and haven’t dealt with fleas before, and didn’t know who to call.
OK… I could have done better! Waaah! Mike didn’t scold me (thank you!) or make me feel bad. He offered very good ideas for how to deal with fleas on the cat and in the home.
I would definitely call them again to groom my girl.
Even though it’s another «dog-​named business»!!
