GAG. I went here for dinner one night and got mahi, I asked for it grilled. Their mahi is breaded? And they tried to grill it? AREYOUSERIOUS? It was DISGUSTING. They didn’t even cook through the breading, it tasted like they had had frozen mahi with the breading already on it, put it on the grill until it burned, but it wasn’t even cooked through. Absolutely disgusting, will not be back.

Everyone here is very friendly and sweet. I usually go to the L&L in Carson on main, but I just thought why not try another location. This location is a bit small and very clean. They give you bigger portions than the others. This is now my go to L&L(:

Food is really good here and price is also for the amount of portion they give you. Myself being a tall big guy i ordered a regular instead of the smaller size and wow I couldn’t finish all of it lol Definitely coming back again.

This was my first time eating at L&L Hawaiian BBQ and I have got to say that it was pretty delicious. I order the Chicken Bowl because I wasn’t that hungry and I can say I made a wise decision. It had rice, vegetables(which were tasty) and chicken. Not only was the food great but the customer service was AMAZING! Jannay was so sweet and kind it made me feel welcomed and eager to come back. GREATJOB.

Great food and very affordable. Katsu chicken is the favorite in my family. Personally, I like the ribs and spam musubi. The plates come with rice and macaronni salad. You have the choice of a regular plate or mini. For the katsu, a mini has a generous portion of chicken. Katsu is always cooked fresh and each order comes hot and crispy. It comes with a sweet plum-type dipping sauce. Ribs are marinated like Korean-style Calbee. The texture is firm but not tough. Tasty and finger licking yummy! Spam musubi is a generous slice of spam, dipped in sweet-smoky sauce, then cooked on a flat grill just enough. Its placed in-between some white rice and wrapped in nori(seaweed sushi wrapper). Outdoor seating is available between other fastfoods. Indoor seating is limited. I suggest calling orders ahead. Credit cards accepted

This would be my comfort food all day every day if could! I have been to a couple other L&L locations and this one is my favorite. The owner is awesome and sweet. I highly recommended the chicken Katsu and spam musubi

By far, the best LnL chain throughout SoCal! They give a lot of proportions, making it so worth coming back! I love the lady who works as a cashier. She’s really kind and makes sure orders are done correctly. Ordered a mini katsu plate but didn’t expect them to give a lot. I guess other Hawaiian places need to step up their game! Crenshaw L&L, you won my heart.

My fiancè and I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ chicken plates to go and we were so impressed with the quality and the portions they gave us! It was pretty quick service too, considering they were busy! best L&L you’ll ever go to. the employees are so sweet and friendly. Food comes out pretty fast. This L&L’s mini size is the same as a regular size at other L&L’s, so you definitely get more bang for your buck!

Happy satisfied customer yet again! I tried something new today, the BBQ short ribs aka kalbi and they were freaking delicious!!! I’m usually a fickle picky eater and have a tendency to stick to my staples but yall have made me a kalbi believer haha! Service is always on point, I adore the Asian lady Wing, she’s running the joint like superwoman!

Been here twice and the food is amazing and you get a big bang for your buck. came here with my Aunt, and they know here lol. If your order a mini plate you will still have food left over for later. the macaroni salad is so good and homemade, and the white rice is steamed to perfection(because everyone cant cook rice). BBQ chicken is so tender and juicy. Worth the drive and the customer service is wonderful as well

All you can ever want in a fast food Hawaiian place: Huge portions of crispy katsu, plenty of katsu or curry sauce, and honestly their fries are pretty decent too.

I love this place! They serve big portions of food. definitely bang for a buck! And it’s healthy. Well what I order all the time. Hehehe. I love their customer service. Their staff are so friendly and nice. They greet you a soon as you come through the door. When we dined in, I noticed that the cashier personally knew some of their customers name. That’s probably why they come back here all the time. And I’d rather drive here to this venue than the one in Carson/Sepulveda.

Was VERY disappointed with my Spam musubi. I could barely detect the Spam at all. It is really sad since we used to frequent this location. We will not be ordering Spam Musubi from them anymore.

A co-worker of mine bought for our whole bank. I had the Hawaiian chicken plate with white rice, mac salad and shredded cabbage. Man this food is not fit for human consumption. It was so gross! The Mac salad was just macaroni and miracle whip — no fresh veggies whatsoever. The chicken thighs were supper fatty — you could chew and chew but you would not get anywhere. The rice was aiiight but apparently they do not use salt there. Unless of course it’s garlic salt because that was so full of garlic it was gagging. That food after consumption just made you feel absolutely dirty; like you kissed your sister with an open mouth — yea that dirty! I could not recommend this place to anyone with even half of half a palate. Enter if you dare!

The BF had never been to an L&L up on the mainland before, even though he moved here more than a year ago. He was wary of trying it – due to the stigma that L&Ls have up here – but I told him that my experiences at mainland L&Ls hadn’t been bad. Though it doesn’t have that same local flair we find in island-wide L&Ls, I had always enjoyed the entrees I ordered from these Cali restaurant locations. The BF and I were deciding what to get for a late lunch one day, and we decided to stop in at the nearest L&L. The eatery wasn’t crowded at all on this early Sunday afternoon. Though the location was small, there was still a seating area, but we were ordering take-out. The workers were really friendly and it took us a few minutes to decide what to get(I didn’t order my beloved katsu this time because I knew I would be sharing some of my meal with the BF, whose stomach doesn’t have a great relationship with katsu breading). We got our orders in no time and went to enjoy our meals at home. I was happy with my dish – as usual – and the BF admitted that L&L up here wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be. He still prefers the ones in Hawaii, though. Here’s what we got, as well as entrees I wouldn’t mind trying on our next run: «Fried Fish Fillet»: Since I had to deviate from my usual katsu order, I decided to go with this fried fish entrée instead because I do love a good mahi filet. This entrée includes fish filet that’s fried to a golden brown and served with tartar sauce. I liked the breading of the fish – a good amount – and I thought it had enough taste(with just some salt added) so I didn’t use any of the tartar. The BF had a piece and said the fish was moist and fresh — didn’t taste like a frozen patty. I ended up getting a regular plate cause I was starving, and this meal ended up functioning as both my lunch and dinner. Regular plate lunches come with two scoops of rice and your choice of salad(mac/green), while mini plates(which I usually get) have one scoop of rice and your choice of salad. «Portuguese Sausage and Eggs on Rice»: If I ever go to L&L for breakfast, I’m so getting this dish. It sounds like what you would find at Hawaii McDonalds(yes, there are different menu items at Hawaii McDonalds), and I’m sure I would like the smoky, savory flavor of the sausage paired with eggs over easy. «Seafood Platter»: If I ever wanted a combo, I would probably go for this seafood entrée because it contains shrimp and fish … two seafood dishes that I really do like. I’d take fried shrimp over grilled shrimp any day, and I already know I like the fresh, moist fish fillet that comes with this combo. «Seafood Combo»: If I wanted one more element to a seafood-filled plate, I would get this combo because it provides a great sampling of some of my favorite meats. You get a fish fillet, fried shrimp and your choice of BBQ beef/chicken/short ribs or chicken katsu. Of course, I would go for the katsu because that’s my favorite entrée from L&L, but I like this option because it features two of my seafood favorites as well. Of course, that’s a lot of fried stuff in one entrée, but I would be sure to only eat half and save the other half for later. «Garlic Shrimp»: There’s nothing better than succulent prawns sautéed with rich garlic, green onions and butter. Except I would nix the green onions if I ever got this shrimp entrée. «Pork Lau Lau»: I don’t often get entrées with lau lau because they tend to be pricier, but I absolutely love this Hawaiian staple. If I’m really craving this dish, I wouldn’t hesitate to try the L&L version. It features hefty pork chunks wrapped with taro leaf steamed to perfection. And I don’t care that this plate lunch only comes in the regular size … it’s worth indulging in, and if I have any leftovers, I can always save it for a future meal. «Kalua Pork»: I’m usually pretty picky when it comes to Hawaiian food, but kalua pork(along with lau lau) ranks up there as one of my favorites. This entrée features smoked-flavored, succulent shredded pork slowly roasted to a flavorful finish. I don’t think I’d even order my brown rice(typical starch of choice) with this entrée … I’d get white rice to experience this delectable dish to its fullest. «Chicken Katsu Saimin» or «L&L Spam Saimin»: I’ve never ordered saimin from L&L before, but I’ve always been curious to experience it. I love how the saimin dishes that are featured aren’t just plain but have some extra elements, such as meats that I really like. If I ever ordered one of the saimins, I would probably go for the katsu or spam versions.

I don’t think you can ever really go wrong with L&L. Even if you’re not craving Hawaiian food, once you start eating it you won’t be able to stop. I noticed that most customers get take out rather than sit in. The service is typically always good. I’m pretty sure most employees are in high school. FOOD Katsu(5⁄5) — Crispy, moist, flavorful. Goes perfect with the rice and the sauce. Macaroni salad(5⁄5) — One of my favorite things about this place. I love their macaroni salad. Spam musubi(5⁄5) — I think it’s difficult to ever go wrong with spam musubi.
