My review is for the parents. We all need places to take our kids over the summer. Please don’t allow your destructive ass children to proceed like wild animals and tear the place apart. Dammmmnnnnnn… The way they act in public is how they act at home… So this goes out to the parents of the children who broke the T. Vs today so the rest of the patrons can no longer play the games and the SAME children who also broke the ball machine….

Okay so I have been here before and ‘know what I am getting’ which is climbing that is half way decent but to walk in and have the ball blower machine and the dancing room both closed/​signs up they are broken without being told about this… come on. It is like two of the bigger draws to the place. Also it is always dirty sticky funky and they understaff with some well intending girl running from taking your admission money to microwaving your frozen pizza. Yes food quality is gross here too. I’d say spend the extra distance going to TWINKLE TWINKLE CAFE in Lomita which is adorable and my kid enjoys more. The food is actually GOOD there too! This place has just gotten really SAD. And the little toy kitchen is always a mess with ridiculously poor inventory.

This place needs a good scrubbing, it has a layer of grease or dirt on most things. The large play structure should have a height/​age limit, it is really only for bigger kids. I went with my (almost 3 yo) in the structure and there were areas I was concerned that he would get hurt if he was in it on his own. The gal who worked at the front desk said it was up to me if I let him go alone in the big structure, but there should really be more of a hard rule, for safety. The plus was it kept he very busy and I had a really good Mexican chicken salad at their café, fresh and large portion.

Great price for a day of kid fun. I’m sure there are times of over crowding, but I purposely went during working hours. Parents can work or do as they wish while kids play, so I would have liked it if there was more employee oversight to avoid bullying to rough play.

3.5. We used a coupon so if was $ 5 admission. Not crowded on a Friday night. Toddler area has a lot of the oversized padded structures that the kids can play on, a couple swings, slide, and little push walkers. It’s a decent size if there’s not many people. Unfortunately the big kids kept coming in and one accidentally kicked my baby. ARGH. Staff was kind. Not the cleanest/​prettiest facility but a nice place to let your baby run loose a little. Like that it stays open late.

Don’t take your kids there if you love them. Honestly from the moment I walked in I was disgusted. I was taking my 2 year for some play time since adventure place in Manhattan Beach was close for the toddler section. I decided to come here n check it out.
I arrived and No one was at the front desk for almost 3 minutes so I just got myself started on the paper you have to sign. I payed 7 bucks for my toddler and 1. It’s cheap but for this place that seriously needs some cleaning and new toys it should be 3 – 5 dollars the most. More like the whole place needs to be remodeled.
The toddler section is ridiculously small with just a small slide and some gigantic old ripped blocks. My toddler care less to play there. There’s a section with foam blocks on the floor and with a small play kitchen. But the blocks r soooo dirty and the kitchen only has a few toys for the kids. Every time my toddler touched a toy a wonder when was the last time they were cleaned.
The big jungle play place, is okay but not safe for kids smaller than 4. There’s a ball pit with little balls that r small and hard. Not safe at all if kids decided to throw them at each other. The only decent place was the «art room» plenty of chairs, tables, papers, broken crayons n dried markers.
The place smells dirty n I didn’t even dared to go to the restrooms. I only lasted 1hr there, I let my toddler run around, which was another hazard since other bigger kids are running around n they are not told to stay in their designated area.
Won’t be coming here ever again. Adventure plex is the way to go!

Came in this past Friday due to the rain. Me, my kids, and everyone else and their mother! It was packed and they only allowed a 2 hour limit! It was $ 17 for my two kids for only two hours. The place is really dilapidated and old and it was super packed. It smelled bad too. They have a cafeteria right in the middle of the room so it kind of stunk up the place. There is one large play structure area that you climb up and are protected by nets and then there is an area with some dress up clothes, a train table with no trains and a lovely sign that says you have to leave your key or driver’s license to check out some shitty little trains. There is an upstairs area above the train table, like an alcove, that used to have those videos that you can dance and move along to, like on a wii or play station, but now the TVs don’t work and were just off. Some kids were running around in circles up there. There is also a small room to the right of the entrance for 3 and under kids with some foam mats, a tunnel, and two swings that while fun, slam into each other if you swing it more than just a tap.
We only stayed 1 hour or so and I would have left earlier if I had not spent $ 17 and if I did not want to get my kids at least a little tired before lunch and going home. I will definitely not be visiting this place again when there are so many better indoor playground options in the south bay: Adventureplex, Twinkle Twinkle, Play Hive, and the new Wonder of Dinosaurs — which allows you ALL DAY access for what you pay including in and outs. Now that is some bang for your buck!

We had a Groupon and playdate here with a family I adore, but I am not coming back. Probably 10 minutes in, I realized I hated Kid Concepts. It needs a major overhaul and there are other places like Gymboree, Silly Goose and Toddler Town that provide a much better experience with newer (and cleaner) toys and equipment. For one, the toddler room is extremely unsafe. Who designs a small confined space with swings so that your child can get kicked in the head? And who puts a roller coaster toy RIGHT in FRONT of swings so that it’s inevitable??? The baby gate doesn’t close easily (so people often don’t know how or bother to close it); electrical outlets are left unplugged and exposed; and old equipment is left here, temporarily blocked off by equipment that children pull away to play with.
The kitchen area is old and dilapidated with very few items to play with. The train table requires that you sign out the trains. WTF?
Maybe Kid Concepts great for older kids as they climb in the play structure and can read signs for where not to go, (or what’s out of service), but I hated everything about it for my 19 month old.

This is a place for kids and adults to climb and slide all over a playground. I came here for my cousin’s son’s birthday and it was quite a disappointment. NO shoes are allowed inside so you have to take them off and leave them in a cubby near the door. whether you are playing or not, you can’t go in the playing area with shoes on. But for whatever reason, the staff walks around the sneakers all day… how are the same rules not applied to staff?
The private room we reserved for our party wasn’t ready when we arrived. They promised her special decorations and extra food items which she paid extra for and they only had a few things with that character and forgot to bring the food she requested.
The other complaint I have is that there are not enough eating areas for adults. probably cuz the food menu is VERY limited… you will probably only get fries, if your lucky…
When they take you into the «gym» for private play time they play inappropriate rap music not suitable for children… I was shocked when I heard the music they used to play freeze games with 2 and 4 year olds. ABSOLUTELY inappropriate and I would never bring any child here. Staff was yelling out game rules and instructions rather than being playful and making sure everyone was having fun.
This place is the worst… you’re better off at the park with a picnic!

Took the kiddies here a few weeks ago for a private birthday party and my review is quite mixed. On one hand, there’s a ton of activities to keep your kids busy and active. On the other hand, service was slow, disorganized and at times I felt it was unsafe for my kids and I would not be comfortable dropping them off for a party if the parents are not invited.
The pros:
–large play structure that is clean, well padded and lit with ventilation blowing through
–the machine that sucks up the balls and shoots them out up top is pretty cool
–dance room with TVs
–under 3 yrs old play area
–play kitchen
–dress up area
–shoe cubbies out in waiting area
–tons of seating and tables for eating and waiting
Cons:
–the exit gate is not latched to prevent kids from leaving the facility and no one is at the counter to monitor exit/​entry
–the play area was not set up in time and 50+ parents and kids waited in the lobby area
–minimal seating in lobby area
–food service is slow
–front counter was unorganized
–child check-​in process was lengthy and too long for younger kids
–insufficient staff to assist when needed
Overall, it was an enjoyable experience for the kids but would not likely return.

Great place for the kids. You can drop them off and use the free wifi to do work. They have pizza n drinks. Lots of kids and pretty safe place. Clean place. Will come back soon

When you have twin two year olds and a four year old, staying cooped up inside your house will drive you insane.
To remedy this, we often hit up parks, playgrounds, and Chuck E Cheese. Kid Concepts is in our rotation because it provides something different. Kid Concepts is a huge play area for kids, and they also have a separate room for smaller kids. You can borrow trains for the train tracks at the front desk but you need to leave your keys or an ID. They have a dancing game upstairs that the kids enjoy playing. There’s a huge ball pit with lots of balls kids can throw around. The main attraction is a huge climbing/​maze three-​story structure.
You can bring your own socks. I forgot to bring mine, but the staff gave me a new pair to keep. No shoes are allowed on the play floor.
We’ve gone on week nights and the place has been almost empty. If it’s the weekend, or raining, expect it to be far more crowded. I also recommend calling ahead to check if there’s a large birthday party or other event taking place.
They sell food, but it is on the pricier side.
On my last visit, they even had the playoff football game on so football fans wouldn’t miss out and could still take their kids here.
Overall it’s a great place to let your kids run around and expend energy. Just know that it does cost to enter. Each paying kid can be accompanied by one adult; last time I went it was $ 7.

EEEK! I don’t recommend anyone bring their kids here. My cousin had a birthday party for her 2 year old son here and I thought it was sloppy on so many levels.
The room wasn’t ready when we got there and waited quite a while until it was. They require everyone take their shoes off and walk around in their socks but the staff walks around in sneakers everywhere — uhhhh why don’t they go with the same rules? Or have special shoes?
We were finally shuffled into a private play room which I thought was pretty meh. They played ratchet music that wasn’t really age appropriate. The staff memeber did a lot of yelling instead of making it a fun envrionment she was trying to shuffle everyone around. It was kind of ridiculous.
Then they shuffle you into a room to eat. My cousin paid for some extra food items which she had to specifically request yet again, even though she paid extra for it. They seemed to be rushing through the whole process and it wasn’t as well planned as you would expect for some place that does this all the time.
Sloppy and not really age appropriate.

Took my 2 gr. son’s ages 4 & 5, they loved this place. The 5 yr old was here visiting and all he kept saying for the next couple of days was
i want to go back to the balls place and the 4yr who usually doesn’t talk much went back home chattering away telling his mom about all the stuff he had fun doing. Thanks Kids Concept, my gr. sons really enjoyed themselves.

I’ve been to a few places like this before. They are an awesome idea for helping little people burn excess energy. This one, however, left much to be desired. First off, it was a busy Saturday, which I totally understand, but there was no supervision of the children (or adults, for that matter). In the block area, I witnessed at least eight children throwing blocks at each other. I don’t know where the staff was, or the parents for that matter. The air hockey table was over-​run by young children who weren’t actually playing, so that wasn’t an option for fun either. Young teenagers were sprinting up and down the stairs to the video room, with no regards to the younger children there. On to the giant jungle gym/​ball pit… there were tons of people in it. From three years old to grown adults. It only took a few moments to realize that this wasn’t a safe environment for my four year old. Children were running up and down, with adults chasing them (playing, not chasing their children), stepping on each other and pushing others out of the way. There is NO WAY that jungle gym is meant to have that many children and adults in it at a time. I mean, five or six children all stuffed in one of those tubes at a time!!! I was concerned for the safety of my child with the lack of regard for other people present in this place by the other adults, children, and staff. I saw five or six workers, but the only workers I saw interacting with the children were the ones at the front desk. There was no staff on the floor to oversee the activities going on. My son and I left. I didn’t bother to ask for my money back, because I was in a hurry to get out of that place. As soon as I was in my car, I called to speak to the supervisor, who didn’t bother to tell me her name. She pretty much just blew off all of my concerns. Guess we will have to wait until an accident happens and some children get hurt to see any change from this place. What a waste of time and money.
Side Note: The girl working the front desk was super friendly, and my son really liked her. That’s the only good thing I can think to say about this place.

Kid Concepts is an indoor playground on Hawthorne in Torrance — behind Centinela Feed Supply. $ 10 for children 3 and over and $ 7 for children between 1 and 3 for 2 hours of play. The facility is okay. The equipment is a little dated, and the ball pit is definitely missing some balls — it could use an update re-​do. That being said, the kids love it, and most of the kids here are pretty well behaved. We were here on a holiday so it was PACKED — parking lot and inside — and the café makes the entire place smell like pizza, but our girls had a good time. I would come again, but I cannot say that it is my favorite place to go. There are other indoor playgrounds with nicer equipment or fewer odors.

This is the 3^rd time I’ve taken my daughter here in the last year and a half or so. We’re not regulars and that may or may not change, but it is something fun to do at least once in a while.
There are lots of things to keep the young mind occupied, from a giant Jungle Gym type of contraption that includes a ball pit and cool air supported bouncy room on the second level. This alone seems to be a favorite.
On the other side of this giant play room is a second level that you have to climb to, which has 2 big screen TV’s on a wall for video game play, video dancing, etc. Doesn’t do much for my 3 year old at this point, but it might later and, although there wasn’t much going on up there today (Seemed slow for a Saturday, but it was early afternoon on a hot summer day), I noticed it seemed to be a hit with the bigger kids when we went before.
That in mind, I didn’t see game controllers up there today and I suspect they probably need to be checked out from the front, like some other smaller items in their inventory.
Lots of parents seem to be getting a nice break in the sitting/​eating area while the kids amused themselves, but there are also a lot of parents who play along with the kids, as Grown-​ups are generally able to access most of the places that the kids can, such as upper levels of the jungle gym (Yes, including the bouncy room).
There is a snack bar where you can get various drinks, snacks, sweets, sandwiches, etc. and, of course, pizza. To be honest, it’s not high quality food, but I don’t think they were shooting for a 5 star dining experience here. It’s just a place to grab some grub while you’re on your playday. Don’t expect much, but it’s fine for what it’s there for.
Bottom line, it ain’t Disneyland, but at $ 10 per child and the first adult free (I forget the charge for additional adults, but I’m sure it’s fair), you can’t beat it if the kids are happy. My daughter had a great time and as long as that is the case, we’ll keep coming.

I wanted to find an indoor playground to escape the summer heat with our 3 year old. I found this place online and it sounded like a good idea. Check in went ok and the ladies at the front desk seemed friendly enough. They charged us 10 $ and 4 $ for an extra adult. I think it’s strange to charge for adults to enter a child themed place, after all we wouldn’t choose to be there without our son.
Pros: the play structure was huge and fun with many different slides and areas to play.
Cons: The ball pit seemed like it would be fun if it was working. And the hockey table was also out of order. The art room was on the sad side with a roll of butcher paper and a small box of broken crayons and dried out markers. The toddler room was ok until a family brought their older kids in and took over the area. The bathrooms were unsanitary tissue and water on the floors and smelled of urine. We ordered a quesadilla which was subpar at best but cheap at 3 $. the place was pretty dirty compared to other indoor playgrounds we have visited.
Overall we will most likely not be back mainly due to the general upkeep of the facility vs cost was not comparable. Many broken toys and equipment. And the lack of cleanliness. For the amount of money to enter I was surprised to see that the money they charge to enter and how busy it was there doesn’t appear to be a return into the actual business.

I ended up here by being invited to a friend’s 5-​year-​old son’s birthday party (his name is Mateo). A party package had been purchased to entertain and feed a group so my experience is based on that. Aside from their party deals you can just show up with your kids any time and pay an admission fee to play.
The entrance isn’t visible from the street and the signage is poor so be aware of the addresses as you drive along Hawthorne Blvd. Once inside you immediately must remove your shoes so wear socks or bring some along. Be advised that your socks will get dirty so leave your fancy Hello Kitty ones at home!
There is a large indoor play area for climbing, sliding and bouncing. Also areas for block building, pretend play, puzzles and arts & crafts. There is a food counter where you can purchase drinks as well as basic items like pizza and fries (outside food is NOT allowed). There is an adjacent area where you can sit and eat or parents can sit and watch their kids.
After letting the children run wild for an hour the employees rounded up the kids for Mateo’s party. They first took them into a private play room where they could play with and bounce off of different items. After half an hour they were herded into another room where they sat and ate pizza and birthday cake. The young staff were great with the kids and kept them enthusiastically entertained with games (like «Simon Says») while they ate. Toy prizes were awarded to winners.
While I thought the pizza and cake were mediocre at best, the kids seemed to enjoy it. And that boils down to how I rate this place: I personally thought Kid Concepts was just «okay» but the kids seemed to have a lot of fun. Because they had a blast, and that’s what this place is all about, I gave them 4 stars.

Will never return here again after 2 bad visits. Today my son peeled his wristband off since they put it on tightly. When we were getting ready to leave ‘Rachel’ who works as cashier and at the café was on the phone forever and when she finally got off and noticed my son’s missing wrist band she wouldn’t let us leave until he told her I was his mother!!! I told her he’s speech delayed which caused a big question mark on her face, duh!!! Then I had to pull his preschool folder out of his bag on it to prove ID as it has his name on it.
Other time we visited we had checked out a train and another kid took the train to play with it and we couldn’t find it. The cashier refused when I didn’t have the train to return my car keys to me!!! All these experiences I have never endured with any indoor playground before. This is just bad business!!! Never again!!!
