Writing a review for an account not so sexy, but they are a bit important than a bad Slider or Kale salad. My parents have been using Ted for over 15 years for taxes and Estate planning purposes. He is very knowledgeable, kind and approachable. The rest of his team in the office is very organized and on top of things.
He is conveniently located off of Hawthorne Blvd. right at the foot of Palos Verdes.

we were given ted’s number from my father’s financial advisor back in 1998. since that time, he has provided excellent legal advice for my dad and stepmother’s estate. extremely knowledgeable, succinct, efficient, — and reasonably priced. i recommend him without hesitation.

I know, I know, why does anyone bother to review an accountancy firm? They’re so boring, right? Well, yes, but with ten reviews under my belt, I finally wanted to get a «First to Review» badge. And since it’s almost impossible to find a restaurant that hasn’t been reviewed, I’ve resorted to this.
Seriously, though, I got a referral to Ted’s firm when I first moved to the South Bay in the mid 90’s, and I’ve used him ever since. I’ve mostly used him for estate planning (he’s a lawyer as well as a CPA), and if I was really Unilocal-​savvy, I would create a business listing for «Law Offices of Theodore Y. Hanasono» and review that as well. But I’m not Unilocal-​savvy, so my review is going here.
Ted’s probably going to be retiring soon, so I’m not sure how much this will actually help him. But until he does, I wanted to give credit where credit is due: Ted’s a throwback to an earlier time when people charged by the job and not by the hour. You won’t get an hourly bill from him, but rather you’ll go in and discuss what you need. He’ll give you a price to do the job; for instance, draft a family or educational trust, set up a will or power of attorney, establish a corporation, etc. I’ve used Ted for all of those things.
Lastly, Ted’s just an all-​around good guy, easy-​going and really easy to speak to. Oh, and I should mention that even though his last name is Hanasono, he grew up here and speaks perfect English. (He doesn’t, however, speak Japanese, but that shouldn’t be a problem because anyone who only understands Japanese can’t read this review.)
And now, I’m going to sit back and enjoy my first «First to Review» badge! Yeah!
