I wish I can give this place no stars! Highly disappointed with this so called«Mexican» restaurant. I ordered a shredded beef enchilada plate… It was terrible!!! Beans were stalled, rice was also and the beef was GROUND Instead of shredded. Poor customer service too. Don’t recommend this place at all!

My husband and I LOVEEBJ! We had been hunting for a long time trying to find a great breakfast burrito spot and we finally found our go to! We used to go to Steve’s but the lines were always long, prices high and the burritos were so/so. Well, EBJ has the best tasting breakfast burritos with the best salsa! You can’t beat the price either! We now come here for dinner occasionally during the week too and their dinner plates are just as good! Do yourselves a favor and come here for bomb food and great prices!

Wasn’t for me. Yes, the prices are relatively low, but not low enough to justify the food. Pretty sure the tacos I make at home are vastly better. The Carne Asada burrito was closer to a bean burrito. Farrr too many better options out there, regardless of price.

Shrimp tostada on a pile of iceberg lettuce. Pretty bland fare from a family favorite. But not having the choice of flour or corn tortillas for a taco just seems lazy…

We have never experienced issues until Saturday night. Ordered the Super Nacho to go, neither of them had sour cream or guacamole; meat and cheese only. Get that little«boy» off the register and get serious! Pay attention to the orders, your patrons pay a lot money for your food!

This is the cleanest, friendliest LBJ Ive been to. This location accepts debit cards unlike some of the other locations. The service is fast and the restrooms are clean. I recommend the chorizo and egg burrito for breakfast or if you’re getting lunch or dinner try the carnitas burrito. Ive never been let down by the crew here. Eat your fill for under ten bucks! They do have a busy lunchtime because they are within walking distance of the mall and next door to the hospital so arriving early or late might be a good idea. If you cant do that you can always call ahead. This is a must try for any burrito lover!

I came to pick up a catering order for a staff meeting and it wasn’t even started because they conveniently forgot to place the order in! I placed the order 5 days in advance and paid nearly $ 200 and now I have to wait 20 – 30 minutes for the food! They didn’t offer any compensation except guacamole and salsa! Really? Horrible customer service… Will never cater from this place again! And I wish I had checked the food before I left because I got a tray full of burnt tacos! They were in such a hurry to finish my order which they didn’t start until I arrived so I got burnt tacos! Never again! Be aware and check your order before you leave!

This place used to be good, they have increased the prices and food quality isn’t that great. I would go to La Capilla in Torrance any day before El Burrito Jr.

Wish I could give zero stars because Ive never been so disgusted with a restaurant. Not only by the food quality but also their lack of customer service. Growing up in Redondo Beach I used to tell everyone how good their food was, I am now very disappointed and will not go back. This incident happened on a to go order earlier today. I had a chicken burrito, I took my first bite then bit something hard. I pulled it out of the burrito and it was a 4inch THIGHBONE. No I am not exaggerating, I will post the picture. Luckily, I didnt choke or crack a tooth: O I phoned them immediately. The 1st time I asked to speak to a manager and the guy said no then hung up on me. So I called again, different person, asked to speak to a manager and he said there isnt anybody there… um okay? I asked to speak with someone who could handle this situation, he put the phone down. I could still hear him talking about and laughing at me in the background. Two phone calls and I received not even an apology. I called AGAIN and spoke to a lady who took down my name to give to a «manager». I hope this situation is addressed immediately by the manager when they get in.

I’m not one to write bad reviews but this location wasn’t up to my standards that would have satisfied me as a customer. First off, I bought $ 20 worth of food(2 burritos, with rice and beans, etc). I paid and received my food(it was a to-go order) but I wanted extra salsa so I asked the gentleman, he totally wasn’t paying attention and started helping the person behind me. Then he turned to ask me what else I wanted. So AGAIN I asked for extra salsa and he retorted with, «Well how many do you have in the bag? It’ll be extra.» There were only 4 containers of salsa THATWERENTEVENFILLEDALLTHEWAY for $ 20 worth of food and ALOT of chips in the bag. I was baffled, I told him never mind, grabbed my food and left. I’ve gone to other El burrito jrs and NEVER got charged for extra salsa.

Old School Cali-Mex Near LCM Hospital LBJ reminds me of the Mexican Restaurants in the days of yore before Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Fenniger turned the Latin Food world on its ears with City and the Border Grill, which was a like a world of ranchera sauce drenched burritos and enchiladas. Tenía una fuerte hambre and wanted some old school Cali-Mex cuisine, you know what I mean carnal? So being nearby I decided that LBJ would solve that. I walked into a very bright place with a seat your self sign, and since I was flying solo I didn’t want to be a tool and sit at the 8 top by the door so I found a 1 ½ top para las flacas. The server brought a menu right over, actually handed it over the wall of the waiter station and I saw what I wanted, what you would call the Salma Hayek of meat, Al Pastor guay! But not in tacos, in a huge wet Burrito. So here I was eating old school Mexico City cuisine in an old school American giant flour tortilla. Minutes later this gigante burrito came out in ranchera sauce, large dollops of guacamole and crema agria. The server dropped it down and he gave me this tu eres chignon look. I immediately mixed the sour cream and guacamole together to make an additional sauce to slather over my burrito. The Al Pastor, although it wasn’t cooked over a spit like in the Lebanon, was some very tasty puerco. After eating the whole burrito I felt like such a chino cochino and wanted to nap. Luckily I only had to go back across the parking lot. I am leaving that Mexican fusion cuisine to the pajaros.

Thought I would be getting some good mexican food, instead I got this wanna be el torrito food. Cant say how much I dislike joints like these. Im for some real authentic mexican food and this place was not it. Tasted horrible. Ill start with my chips and salsa… or my chips and pace sauce. Because thats exactly what it tasted like. I really enjoy chips and salsa and this place managed to make me hate it today. I ordered the 4 tacos special btw… which has no refills lol. Who does that? Regardless i didnt finish my drink anyways because it tasted horrible. My friend thought it was the water so he got a diet coke and it still had that rancid sewer water taste. The tacos. well i got 3 de asada and 1 de carnitas, my friend chose 2 de asada 1 carnitas and 1 al pastor. Ill start with the asada. To put it simply, it lacked taste. But it was the best of the 3 types we tried. Al pastor… it tasted like canned dog food… not that ive tried it before but it was bad. It was dry and again lacked some taste, besides the bad one. Carnitas was just downright wrong. Extremely dry and lacking taste as well. Its hard to mess up carnitas and they managed this here. One more thing before i drop the mic… I cant stand a place that serves lemon with your tacos instead of limes… its not that hard people.

This really hit the spot for California-Mexican food! We love the red and green chile of New Mexico, but we crave the So-Cal burritos, tacos, and enchiladas with chips & salsa as much as the burgers from In-N-Out! We got take-out to eat in our hotel room so I didn’t see the restaurant, but I heard it was nicer than just a regular take-out joint. The two burritos we ordered were the Jr Super Deluxe version. One was carne asada, the other was carnitas. Both had plenty of meat with guac and sour cream. Also came with complimentary fried whole-tortillas to break into chips for dipping into the yummy salsa. Just sorry we didn’t have time to go again while in town.

This place is not that good. the food is not that good, and the service isn’t good either! i came in here today, ordered breakfast. they say that they do breakfast. the fact that no one else was in there should have tipped me off. but no. the waitress came round. i ordered machaca and eggs. i told her no tortillas. she brought tortillas. the machaca itself was not very good. i do not recommend this place. sorry lbj. seems like this place doesn’t care about the food they are serving.

El B J is the best Mexican Food hands down. It beats fast food places like Taco Smell and such and certainly it beats Roberto’s in Mammoth Lakes as well as Gomez that was up there too. Gomez fooled me with their sauce bottles that looked like Tapito. I’ve been coming to this one since it openned. Food here is all good. The dinners comes with rice and beans. Their burritos are big and I love their red chili sauce aka the wet burrito. I usually get the Super Burrito that has ground beef, rice, and lettuce topped with red chili sauce. All you can eat chips and salsa too if you dine in. But if you dine out you get the big chips. I love the big chips better.

Self-seating; friendly and attentive staffs. I came here to grab a quick bite and ordered the chorizo, egg with bean burrito. The burrito was filling and delicious. Can’t complain about the price either(about $ 6).

Delicious mexican food at a great price. I’m sold. I got the steak tostada because I didn’t feel like shredded chicken and the meat was seasoned just right. They keep the chips and salsa flowing so expected to walk out of there stuffed. I’ll definitely be back when I need my mexican food fix. It’s in the Albertson(Haggen) shopping center near Baskin-Robbins and a dry cleaner.

I came by here while visiting my mom in the hospital. You walk in and seat yourself which is nice. I ordered a Super Deluxe Burrito with shredded beef. It was really good and they put a lot of meat in there. The chips were OK(some were a bit greasy) but the salsa was very good. It’s a good spot to stop by if you want quick and causal Mexican food.
