Phrases like «let the buyer beware» come to mind when I think of this store… Design Concepts has a retail location on Artesia Blvd by the Galleria mall & sell funky art deco furniture & other home accessories. I purchased a small decorative item from them when they had a display at one of the nearby beach city fairs.
Bad decision… item wasn’t in stock, but I was assured they wouldn’t charge my card until it arrived, and they would just ran an «approval». WRONG! I was also told that I would be called when it arrived and it wouldn’t take more than a few weeks. WRONG!
The store never called me to inform me the item was ready. I have had to chase them with multiple calls & visits to inquire about the status, to no avail. Nearly 2 years have now passed and I still haven’t received anything. And the folks that work there wonder why I’m getting a bit upset over this? Sound like a scam to you too??? Sell stuff at the fair at a great price & hope you never have to deliver…
Also the store employees once happy attitude (when they were trying to get my money) has changed to «FU» when I go there. Horrible customer service to put it mildly (the rather over size woman that works behind the counter has a horrible attitude). Apparently this store thinks it’s OK to cheat people out of their money… BEWARE
