Dr. Wu did wonders for my pain! I recieved an epidural three weeks ago for my back pain which has been radiating to my legs for months now… and I am so thankful that I did! Dr. Wu is not only one of the smartest doctors I know, but also the most compassionate. He understands all aspects of pain and it’s debilitating effects on the mind and body. The procedures are minimally invasive and highly effective. This man knows what he is doing and how to treat pain according to your symptoms and imaging results. His facility is also very clean and the staff is wonderful! I have so much trust in Dr. Wu. Do yourself a favor and go see this man!

If I could give him six stars, I would! Dr. Wu is so amazingly caring, effective, professional and sweet! I begged for a last minute to see him for this annoying wrist pain. He took his time to diagnose my wrist problem and provided proper care and medication. He is so gentle that I didn’t feel the needle much. He even cared about my payment since I didn’t use insurance. I have never felt so happy after seeing a doctor. He is definitely the BEST doctor I have ever dealt with in life. I found him through Unilocal so I hope whoever out there looking for an orthopedist, he is the BEST!

I really don’t know what to say. I pulled something heavy and I had a back pain. I went to Dr Wu and he said I need to do an MRI which he sent me to the most expensive place to get it. After my results he said that I need to get epidural which helps the inflammation. Though he said that I shouldn’t to any heavy workouts or pretty much he acted like I never get better and be able to be active. After he suggested to get epidural I told him I have to think about it and see if I really need to get this and imagine how much I had to pay even with insurance. I did asked him that should I see my chiropractor and see if he can adjust my back cus the result really showed nothing but inflammation, he said no only epidural will help me and his attitude changed when I said I don’t want to get the epidural. After I decided to go see my chiropractor Dr, and he saw my MRI and all he did adjusted my back and since it’s been maybe 4 month I have no pain and I’m even more active now. I really didn’t need that epidural. It’s sad that doctors this days really don’t care about people but how to charge their insurance more. Maybe he is a good DR, but I had a bad experience.

Dr. Wu has been awesome helping me deal with a spinal injury from snowboarding this past season (bad crash resulting in instant paint and injury to lumbar spine). He sacrificed his bottom line to help me get back on my feet. I have HMO insurance and was only prescribed physical therapy and medication that did little to nothing to improve the pain. The radiating pain in my lower back was incredibly debilitating. Needless to say, I couldn’t perform my daily routine which usually consists of dropping my two kids off at two different schools, working 9 – 10 hours, rushing to pick the kids up, etc. I was totally fed up with my HMO and was looking at other options. I found out about Dr. Wu and his excellent practice in the South Bay through my wife and family (who are doctors) and decided to give him a call. Dr. Wu comes from impeccable pedigree, making him a doctor’s doctor. I expected Dr. Wu to be the scholar and gentlemen, technically gifted. The unexpected was for Dr. Wu to treat me knowing he may not be reimbursed, without my pulling the family card. The front office would’ve turned me away had Dr. Wu not personally answered the phone. A man among men, bravo. What kind of run of the mill doctor would do that for you? Since seeing Dr. Wu I’ve become much more functional (and much less miserable!), at least 75−80% better, due to the image-​guided interventional spine procedure he performed on me. I owe him my sincerest gratitude for giving me my life back. I highly recommend Dr. Wu to anyone whose struggle with pain is interfering with their lives. Thanks Dr. Wu!

Dr. Wu is an amazing, compassionate and very knowledgeable doctor. He is very honest and sincere and takes the time to explain and educate you on what is happening. He explained many questions I had that I did not want to ask due to previously being told certain things. He is an excellent doctor who put me at ease, is caring, compassionate and has a great sense of humor, also has a very friendly staff. He did a non-​surgical procedure to help with a knee injury from work and I can say how grateful I am to have found Dr. Wu. The procedure was painless. He is an answer to prayers. As the Director of Nursing at a well-​regarded institution in a well-​to-​do area, I work with numerous better known MDs. Sadly, reputation is not worth its salt and has no correlation with outcome. The good ones are few and far in between. Dare I say Dr. Wu is in a league of his own? He is certainly a cut above even the better ones, regardless of age or experience, in part because of talent. Even so, he is meticulous and takes nothing for granted. Dr. Wu only schedules a handful of patients a day providing his brand of high-​end healthcare. He is genuinely vested in your well-​being and takes ownership of the care you receive. Rarely are there overlapping visits, and if there are, you will likely see the who’s who waiting to be seen by Dr. Wu.

I have been going to the VA Hospital, various acupuncturist and Chiropractors for my back pain from injuries I have sustained back in 2006. Dr. Wu helped me identify all my issues and made a care plan specific to me to help me with my back pain when I could barely walk. Thanks to him I can now walk without pain and work without pain. If you want to deal with a Doctor who cares about your pain and wants to help you relieve your pain than this is the Doc for you.

I had a pleasure of using Dr Wu services and I have to say he is the most genuine physician I have come across. He is the only doctor I know that truly cares about his patients and has a bigger purpose than just financial gain. A true Doctor, I will definitely go back and use his services. This is how all interaction between patient and physician should be.

I have known Dr Wu for a number of years. We trained together in residency. Besides being a genuinely great person, he demonstrated strong clinical skills, sound judgement and above all a calm, level head in emergency situations. He is a great doctor.

Dr. Wu is the absolute best!!! As a former member of his medical staff I have got to say he is one of the most admirable people I have had the pleasure of working with. There was a time when I was going through a rough patch in my life almost to the point of losing it and Dr. Wu was there for me every step of the way, I can honestly say he is an extremely unique individual who wants nothing but the best for people. I recently had the opportunity and pleasure to be seen by Dr. Wu. I’ve had nagging knee pain since my Army days of jumping out of airplanes and all the mileage from running really hard for the 13 years after getting out of the Army.
I always thought it wasn’t a big deal and had the soldier mentality of sucking it up and driving on. Well, in the past few years my knee pain has gotten worse and my ability to run as hard and often as I’ve liked to has been hindered dramatically. My current government career also requires mobility and being fairly physically active so I decided to give in and see Dr. Wu based on a family friend’s recommendation. Boy am I glad I did! I’m also regretting being hard-​headed and trying to suck it up all these years when I could’ve had the issues addressed so much sooner.
Dr. Wu was fantastic and my best experience with any Dr. I’ve dealt with. He explained everything to me in terms that I could understand my medical situation and educated me about it at the same time. I felt like like he cared and I wasn’t just another number on the clipboard. The facilities are top notch and put you at ease as soon as you step into the office. Dr. Wu performed a very non-​invasive procedure and right now I feel physically great like I’m a younger version of myself and I’m really regretting why I didn’t see him sooner.
Hopefully I don’t have to deal with other pain in the future, but who am I kidding? I’m not getting any younger and even taking great care of my body with exercise and healthy eating, age catches up to you at some point, but now if anything arises in the future I know that I will not hesitate to see Dr. Wu. I know I’ll be treated properly for my condition with respect and care. I recommend anyone who is on the fence about seeing Dr. Wu, don’t be a fool like me and try to live with pain for so many years when Dr. Wu can resolve those issues and get you back to your normal life again.

Dr. Wu was very friendly and inviting. Best experience at a doctor’s office.
I came in for tendinitis and he was very helpful in explaining to me exactly what was going on with my hand/​wrist. I know nothing about medicine and he was able to explain it in a way I could understand.
Setting up the appointment was very clear and easy. I’ve never felt so comfortable at a doctor’s office before. Dr. Wu was prompt with our appointment and I didn’t have to wait long to be tended to.
The facilities is amazing. It looks so nice I would’ve never guess it to be a doctor’s office. Very clean and inviting.
The operating room was also nice. Everything looked like new expensive equipment. Very up to date. I’m not a big fan of needles but the atmosphere was very relaxing and I didn’t even feel nervous when he stuck the needle in my hand.
Dr. Wu was able to pinpoint where my pain was coming from and I feel good about how the treatment went. Best I’ve ever felt leaving a doctor’s office.

This is my first time to write a Unilocal review and it took a great and extraordinary doctor such as Dr. David Wu to get me to do so. I have to share my first visit to Dr. Wu’s clinic. First, the clinic or office is immaculately clean and spacious AND the staff is very helpful and super courteous from my first call, then through the receiving desk, all the way down to the end of the visit.
Dr. Wu is very engaging, calm, friendly, has one of the best bedside manners for doctors that I had ever encountered, very intelligent, brilliant in his specialty but not imposing. He listens to my feedback and he explains such and such to alleviate anxiety on my part. He is very reassuring and presented lots of examples as to this and that of what to do with my case.
He listens well to my signs and symptoms and medical complaints, thus, providing me with a very reasonable and very sound medical advise and interventions. I like it that he explained a plan of care based clearly on my medical problems and summarized the interventional plan at the end of the visit to reiterate that I am agreeable to it, and I perfectly was agreeable to his medical interventions.
Obviously, he has a great way of establishing rapport and good relationship with his new client (s).

Most of all, he seemed very patient, easy to talk to, explains everything patiently and clearly, did a very thorough medical assessment, and did not seem rushing at all. This is the kind of doctor we need nowadays, regardless of what Obamacare dictates. Doctors like Dr. Wu give a great name and face to the world of medicine. Doctors like Dr. Wu is therapy enough to reassure patients that we are in a good and caring hands of our doctor.
Patients of Dr. Wu are lucky enough to choose him for their medical care. And, to be able to come across a doctor like Dr. Wu who is not only sharp, brilliant, and intelligent but has the best bedside manners, we may not be 100% healed of what our medical malady is but we are assured 100% with confidence that there’s a doctor who is like Dr. Wu who will go out of his way to heal and to care in the best possible way that he can.

I have been seeing several pain management doctors in OC, Cedars, and in Beverly Hills over the years for a spine condition that has left me debilitated with chronic pain and never have I found as good of a pain doctor as this. I was on heavy narcotics at one point and that didn’t serve me well either. I heard about Dr Wu through my friend who also had a good experience. Dr Wu was kind, helpful, extremely knowledgable about my condition and took the time to explain how I can get better – both through his treatments (which were so helpful and now I can stand up straight!), and what I can do at home to help. He is a super smart guy with amazing skills!

Dr. Wu saw my girlfriend who re-​injured her lower back when she herniated her disc doing jumping squats with her trainer. She was in so much pain that she could hardly walk a few paces, and he did everything (short of a house call) to get her relief and on the path to recovery.
Upon visiting his facility (which looks pristine and state-​of-​the-​art as another review mentioned), you could tell his practice was very professional. The consultation was next level, where we not only learned the details of what happened, but also the potential risks with various avenues of care. Weighing all of the options, my girlfriend decided to get a targeted epidural in Dr. Wu’s on-​site operating room, and in under an hour, she had her procedure, pain prescription, MRI instructions, and was mobile again. The MRI came back as only a protrusion (not an extrusion), and Dr. Wu explained over the phone that the extent of the protrusion was minimal and could be recovered via physical therapy (and that additional treatments from him would NOT be necessary). He then gave us specific instructions and a copy of the MRI to give to the physical therapist, and sent us on our way!
Dr. Wu is knowledgeable about pain, has a compassionate bedside manner, and was ethical in his treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Wu!

Dr. Wu is a caring and thoughtful physician. He takes the time to spend with patients and thoroughly evaluate their pain. I could not be happier with his care.

I happened to know about Dr Wu through my friend while talking about the constant back pain that I have from a recent car accident.
I like the fact that during the whole treatment of 2 months Dr Wu always let me know what he would do and why he would do it and what I should expect during and after each treatment.
After 2 weeks of 4 times treatment each (along with exercise that Dr Wu recommended me to do at home), my back pain was gone. However I finished the whole 2 months treatment as Dr Wu had suggested before hand.
